  1. If this info eventuates, it'll be more than 1.75 i'm thinking
  2. That's why I used quotation marks, and why Distance Demon provided that summary. Because we (or me at least) don't think it was a payout, but actually just payment for his time in the job. And i'm happy to be proven wrong, as that would correct my judgement on the matter
  3. Maybe Hutchy chipped in 8 grand for the inside scoop
  4. Yeah tell me about it, i don't understand it at all. Perhaps he thought he'd stick around...? I head they were reluctant to sign someone on a set contract in case there was a change of heart/board and we had to pay him out. Still, why put him on 460,000
  5. Holy [censored]. I think i'm about to cry, that is the most amazing thing i've ever heard. Ah, i was about to go to bed too!
  6. Rogue, the three month "pay-out" is his payment for the three months he worked
  7. I've scanned their site the last couple of days, it's hilarious how much they are whinging about being "kicked while they're down" and how the media is being harsh on them. What a joke. Have they not noticed the press we've had this year? Kangas last year?
  8. I realise he's part of the filth, but this guy is that good i would have to say yes
  9. Haha yeah sorry mate, i didn't mean it too seriously, just didn't feel like i didn't express myself properly. Clearly those that "only" donate 6000 should be on the pine!
  10. I care because it's an award given out by the AFL, the sport i follow more closely than any other, and i expect the awards to be given out properly and to deserving candidates. I honestly feel it should have been Cale, and can't see much to the contrary
  11. rpfc, if you were a recruiter i'd hope to god that you would use pick 35! Has a team ever passed up a top 40 pick?
  12. Why not HT. I mean it in terms of capping at 150, if there are 10 others that want to go, that would cost the club at least 60,000 Surely it was 150 minimum
  13. Horses for courses, maybe it's just because i like him, the things he says sound better.
  14. I think in judging Didak, we should stick to the facts that we know about. It's not like the Melbourne Footy Club doesn't have it's own characters who participate in stupid activities, and to act like it only happens in Collingwood is not only foolhardy, but naive. Anything you say about this player, you must be prepared to back up again with if it happens to a Dees player. FWIW, i agree that they should get rid of him because this is exactly why they have won 1 Premiership in 50 years. All that matters is a bit of onfield ability, with no proper strcuture or culture underneath and if they're serious about rebuilding, they'll delist him.
  15. Rhino, if the Pies sack him and he wanted to keep playing, would he nominate for the National Draft? Is that what Gehrig did?
  16. This may sound silly, though i don't really think so, but did they cap the night at 150? Because that would be a curious decision...
  17. Without bias, i really disagree with that decision. Urquhart is a 20 year old who averages 17.3 possessions in a good team after playing 8 games Cale is 18, has played all but 3 games this year, has had to find his own footy and found it just as often as Urquhart, and Morton has been a goal scorer; 11 versus Urquhart's 0. The fact Cale has done all that at two years younger should have almost got it for him in itself.
  18. Apparently Fox has pulled out of the running for CEO, Schwab massive favourite now you'd think. Said he really wants us to be training at Casey as part of a long term move, not a short term one that was originally being considered which i liked
  19. According to Hutchy, Urquart is "going to get the nomination tomorrow." Didn't get a vote from the coaches, Morton got 4 votes.
  20. Jim just comes across as such a polished presenter in situations like this. Other people come on this show and look like amateurs harbouring a grudge, Jim always seems to answer passionately and honestly
  21. Archer needs to learn to speak better if he is to be taken seriously in this role IMO Didak, wow what an idiot
  22. You've been saying the whole thread that it was one of the better Melbourne turnouts, and that on Saturdays at the G Melbourne fans turn out. Now you're saying the numbers were down because it was an away game...
  23. As i said, more than 10,000 Melbourne fans at the Freo games. Perhaps 15,000 max at the Brisbane game, helping my argument that the weekend was less supported by Melbourne fans than previous games.
