  1. Sri Lanka now need 8 from the last 4 with 3 wickets in hand. A near impossible target they in the end they had the chance to make with ease. Epic finish
  2. In response to India's 414, Sri Lanka are currently 1/311 off 35.5 overs. Sangakarra is 86 of 39, fantastic player - one of my current favourites. Dilshan is 146 off 116
  3. Good point, because no other sport would have their athletes compete in a t-shirt-like top...
  4. 116 from the last ten overs... On a 6th day pitch Now India make 414 in a one dayer!
  5. Wheels wore his jumper with the sleeves rolled up, they even made a "t-shirt" version for him. I did it too and it's actually a very comfy jumper. Good for when you don't want to go with the singlet but less daggy than the long sleeve. Bruce also used to wear long sleeves occasionally.
  6. The dreaded "meger match" is on next Tuesday morning at 1.30 AM. We lose by a point but it's a quality game of footy.
  7. I like the new Kaspersky logo, looks much better.
  8. "Two toes" Martin Guptill takes 3-37 and the Kiwis will chase 208 in the last session and a half. Chasing 443 for victory, the Central Stags openers put on 428 for the first wicket!
  9. I don't think the point of the yolk was lower, I just think it used to begin around the middle of the shoulder whereas now the yolk begins at the armpit which made it look more pointed.
  10. Maybe they're out of their brains. Pretty much sums up why I ignore many of the pre-draft talk on these boards. So many people were wetting themselves at the thought of Daw, Panos and Temel. Two have been rookied and Temel hasn't been picked up. Can anyone shed light on why Sydney passed on second, third and fourth round picks and then started selecting again? Looking forward to singing "Joel MacDonald had a farm, Ee I Ee I Oh" at the footy next year.
  11. Podsiadly to the Cats! 5-10 years too late? Lol - Oakley-Nicholls to West Coast, could he be enough to stop them playing finals next year?
  12. Cameron Cloke to Port and Collingwood pick up Seamus McNamara (from Milwaukee, USA) Panos to the Dogs
  13. Welcome indeed. Daniel Harris, Sam Iles, Roland Ah Chee (who I thought was highliy rated), Danny Stanley (lol) to GC Newton back to us. Daw to NM. Hawks pick up Wayde Skipper. Absolutely no surprise, Meesen remains at the Dees and our list for 2010 is officially complete. Onwards and upwards. Silvagni (Casey's) to Freo - good luck to him
  14. And then change it again? As I said, I'm not against it - I just find it interesting that after all these years and all these jumpers we decide to return to an old jumper because we were successful in it. Will we stick with that? I doubt it.
  15. This conversation sort of reminds me of something I wrote on here a while ago. Whilst I'm not opposed to it, I'm a little curious as to why after all these years and all these different jumpers, we feel the need to return to a jumper worn 50 years ago.
  16. Hence why I said until they figure out a plan. I'd be very proud and excited if Australia was to host the world cup. But some of these measures sound rather Draconian and followed through to the letter would not reflect the sporting society we as Australians embrace. We hosted the best Olympics ever and did not need these types of measures implemented. We are probably one of the few nations (that aren't predominately soccer-focussed) with the major sport being played through the March-September period. The other aspect I've been pondering is how much do we deserve it. Before 4 years ago, many Australians laughed at soccer as a joke sport, I'm not convinced we've moved far enough to host an event that many other nations would metaphorically die for.
  17. Whilst I don't agree with many of your statements in this thread, I am starting to think that this is all sounding a little bit ridiculous. I think there's a case that the FFA are keeping many things under wraps until they figure out a plan
  18. Apparently he doesn't really have a set kicking action (he varies between a few techniques) but they will be working to help him generate a kicking style that can be ingrained in his motor skills (or something like that).
  19. I disagree. You tried to make a generalization using one match as evidence, which within 24 hours was proved wrong. I fail to see how you popping up and singling me out when claiming we made a mistake is a more meaningful than my statistical analysis of a much larger sample range that highlighted the possible benefits of bowling first at the appropriate times - I didn't notice any reply of yours to that post, only the one on this page calling me out for my opinion on why you thought we'd lose.
  20. Whoops. That my friends is why you don't play I told you so games before a match is completed. Generally, it is very difficult to predict the outcome of a cricket match even halfway through it, so I can't understand how one can make a claim that it would be almost a foregone conclusion because of chosing to bowl. I provided a pretty detailed analysis of the possible benefits of bowling first to which you've only responded now in relation to a match that the Vics have now won.
  21. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
  22. I'm confused deanox, it's been that way pretty much the whole time - why do you think it's strange now? Godfrey, Simmonds, Woey, Gill, Pitt, Martin and Jurrah all came from the PSD not to mention countless other players to other clubs
