  1. After last nights Before the Game I think Sheedy is a funny guy, but he is also clearly CRAZY. Hes not our man
  2. Well what benefit has anyone been this year? I mean we are second bottom for a reason, everyone has had a shocker. If we are going to head down this path then we will be delisting the whole team for a poor year. Last year finals Byron was a major asset, if bloody Jeff Farmer is getting 3rd and 4th chances I dont see why Byron shouldnt for doing a lot less.
  3. For all the premiership talk Byron does happen to be the only player on the team that has won a premiership
  4. Put simply yes. He cops so much crap from our own supporters, true I close my eyes when he kicks but his reinvention as a backman is nothing short of admirable. Plus those arms are pretty buff
  5. Well your definitely my hero, clearly your love for the club runs really deep its touching. Its a two way street buddy, hope your not like this with everyone in your life or you will be quite lonely.
  6. Er well because it is a long term job and we need to look at the bigger picture. The max Sheedy would last would be 5 years & thats being generous then we are back where we started
  7. What I meant by saying that, was that the Rev was a coach that was around our club for 10 years. How old will Sheedy be in 10 years????
  8. None of you can be serious! He is hardly at the age where he can be our next Rev and at the helm for 10 years. He is too old! We need someone young that has the potential to be a coach like Sheedy, a coach that can be around for 27 years. I dont doubt he is a great coach but he is definitely not the man for us, look at the bigger picture
  9. I would hardly call it bragging thankyou. I value my job & there would prob be questions to follow about their status etc if I mentioned which club which I am unable to answer. I believe everything you said I did already but thanks!
  10. Was very interesting. No your right the clubs do get an equal distribution every month from the AFL of a bucketload of money. Clubs like Nort Melb & Melb also get special distributions for different things such as assistance & re-development of premises. The AFL also looks after the finances of Melb, North Melb & Bulldogs as they arent big enough to look after themselves. Teams such as Essendon who are raking in the money from other investments and their businesses look after their finances in house. What was also interesting was the bucketload of $$$ umpires get per game, if anyone is looking for a career change get on it I say.
  11. I just finished an Audit of a Victorian AFL Club who I am permitted to mention but will not. I reviewed the contract the AFL has with each club, each club gets a WHOLE lot of money from the AFL a lot more than just one million, you would be amazed to see how much. There is a possibility we would run at a loss, I reviewed a game that was played against Melbourne and next to no money is made from them. I wouldnt be too concerned if we run at a loss we arent the only ones & with the AFL rights well after seeing the figures we can breathe easy soon
  12. I dont remember agreeing with you Deanox, if I did someone please get my head read
  13. Yes Deanox we do, we clearly are such sad case losers that we have nothing better to do- wow you are like so clever! I forgot Sylvia plays for himself, doesnt affect anyone else you say? Where do I sign up to be a member of Sylvias club then?? Did I say what Aaron did was smart? No it was bloody stupid as was Sylvia
  14. For someone who doesnt live too far from Geelong I will be switching my phone off if Geelong goes anywhere near the finals. Geelong supporters can be unbeliveably unbearable & I will miss my first Grand Final Day in the country if they make it. I would rather Hawthorn, Kangas, Bulldogs
  15. You have a strange sense of right and wrong Jaded. Davey shouldnt punch someone on the field but who cares if Colin Sylvia gets sooo drunk he passes out at a strip joint. Riiiight. I do not condone Davey hitting people but if thats what it took for him to go on and be our best on ground which he was then thats fine. And as long as his hitting people is confined to the field & it is a rare burst of anger we rarely see from Aaron I do not see the problem
  16. I will forward you the email if you want its full of footy quotes
  17. Michael Voss is a role model whether he likes it or not. So are all footballers. If they dont like it they should head to the VFL. Its called walking away
  18. Cameron Bruce or maybe Brad Green One minute you are all saying how Brock has poor form but its expected cos he has only played 50 something games next minute u want him captain. Doesnt make sense He is too young, he will be captain after the next captain. That is if Neitz wants out which wouldnt suprise me
  19. Thats a might long list. Yeah what is the G-O with Moloney? We look like a better side with him around
  20. Lets hope he avoids passing out drunk at strip clubs in the future then
  21. Smartest thing I have read around here for ages. It was Millers first came back for a while he deserves some room for error as do those others who played their first game in a while yesterday. And Bizzell wasnt exactly setting the world on fire with his first game back & look at him now
  22. Keep him - as Bruce McAveney (pretty sure it was him) said yesterday as long as he has that weapon he will always have an AFL club to play at. I would like to keep the weapon for us
  23. 6 - Bate - He was everywhere he was superstar 5 - Wheatley - Was awesome & that weapon comes in handy 4 - Junior - Always gives 100% for effort and great tackling 3- Sylvia - Flashes of brilliance & stood up when he needed to 2- White - great rucking & showed the older players can stand up when they need to 1 - Jones - What did we do without him?
