  1. I had to search back, to find this pearl of tease... I flipped thru it moving thru the post missing the subtleties, until I read the responses further on. then thought, hmmn worth digging back to find this sucker, of a post...
  2. don't take a managers comments spread to the media, as gospel. Paul Connors is just doing his job, saying stuff to up the ante`, to try to get the highest contract.
  3. he would help improve the list onfield, but also this changes to the list, allow the culture around the club to be improved along with the changes; stops the culture here from being so solid, so solidified... so the coaches have a chance to impact our poor culture, via the list changes.
  4. these are my thoughts as well stmj, Re Bail, MJones, & McKenzie, type mids Garland shouldn't be spoken of in this JMelksham equation, as he is a different type player.. he is more a shutdown player, in a team that has to start learning the correct balance & timing, of shutting down defence & ball winning & switching into offence... Garlo is probably now, one dimensional,,, the ways he has learn't, at our place.
  5. IMO, filling our inadequacy holes, whilst bigger fish are being sought... we can't afford to just Aim High, we need to pepper-spray the whole dartboard. ...also, we need change for changes sake, this is a way of changing the culture, to slowly remove the old ways, & do a transplant of the NEW ways. this is the only way, removing the less's, & replacing with others with none of our old Ways.
  6. can't he just walk after the injection fiasco, that clubs responsibility for going outside the rules, thereby breaking the contract...
  7. I agree with this PSD, minimal at worst penalties on the players, who had this philosophy pushed onto them. & injected into them in a secret safe house, after they had to sign waivers. a real stain on that club's history. but not so much the unlucky bomber players.
  8. Japan: Typhoon Etau floods send hundreds of tonnes of contaminated Fukushima water into ocean By Hannah Osborne | International Business Times Flooding caused by Typhoon Etau has sent hundreds of tonnes of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear plant into the ocean, a Tokyo Electric Power (Tepco) spokesperson said. Rain overwhelmed the site's drainage pumps, they added. Tepco is storing massive quantities of contaminated water that was used to cool melted fuel in the reactors damaged by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that devastated the site. In a statement regarding Typhoon Etau earlier in September, the company said the site was at risk from the storm.site as standard procedure for construction sites. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/japan-typhoon-etau-floods-send-114536837.html#6N100ok

I think Siddle reemerges now, more important, while this team rebuilds, to maintain a healthy Aussie fighting culture. Stark & others need to get more from themselves & not stagnate in attitude. I reckon it will be Pattinson & Cummins, who will be our new fast machines, looking ahead, possibly with Faulkner, if he can mature & focus. We need that partnership breaker, & also we need a great seamer. When he turns up, Siddle will be ready to hang up the boots. also i think Warners broken thumb is a blessing, at this time, to help us get that opening spot moving along.
  10. contract year hero. more of the same culture that watts has adopted. ..... & almost identical to the Mfc culture of the decades,, perform your tricks at the right time, to maintain a contract... this is not, a winning premierships formula. this is, in a NutShell - the inconsistent formula
  11. NFL

used to watch NFL & NBA back in the 80's, re Montana, Riggins, etc ; & Magic, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Bird, Malone, Barkley, Olajuwon, McHale.. dropped off somewhere, maybe 7 days work week? I'm interested in the Heyne train.
  12. with the directionless types of issues they've had up there, adolescents running amok. I'd say from us, they'd be interested in some from this list, to settle that club down... > Grimes, Dunn, Fitzpatrick, Dawes, Spencer, Watts, Howe,
  13. kama says we must get him. sort of poetic justice. slightly better than that I think, in a club with super strong midfield... & at a time when rotations are being started to be reducuced.
  14. thinking the same, guys.
  15. do you mean to say Patton's knee reco's, weren't as successful as they'd hope for ?
  16. Jon Patton would be absolutely excellent foil for Hogan, I'd forgotten about him this season, he's the younger version of Kreuzer, without the Hip issues. Yeah, I like it, but what could we give to balance the equation.
  17. I'd say Re MJones at 28+Yrs of age, he must be gone ???
  18. we need key position depth,,, so that the young kids, if the lose direction, or get injured, they can lose they're spot easily... Frost & Hogan are still kids. & we need to maintain some maturity. Dawes isn't the answer really with his restricted marking ability.
  19. yep, we missed him. next season, all guns ablaze, take no prisoners... all senior players have to do well, as we are ready after this off season, to climb that beanstalk. this draft & tirade period has to be a winner for us... we are all but rebuilt on paper,,, but for experience & learning to win. We've learn't to compete again, but now we have to learn to be pro's, & ruthless.
  20. they way he's played recently I'd go for it now. & also have a big crack at Treloar as well. his running would be handy next year.
  21. your right Django, Pederson isn't our weakness at this stage... its our mid runners, they're the weakest link at this stage. the depth isn't there, nor enough quality yet. & still lack enough general hardness across the field of play.
  22. what would people think If Dunn was put up for trade? for a mid 1st Rnd pick, or part of a Prestia deal ?
  23. I think, wada asada & our admins have finally got their man, the one they really wanted, & Now after much ado about nothing but cheating, I think they're players will walk like Scott f Byrd. so I agree with you wilmoy
  24. drying his powder, along with frost. these are depth players, recruited as such, & given a chance. they have helped us change thru the list, as we move on from the soft culture. its a big job to undertake. when top players do not want to come here, we take what we can get... you know, crawl first, before learning to stand, & then walk?
  25. if we get an elite mid, forget the 32 yr old S'y J... Plowman instead... wheres frost?
