Ground balls
Not about who I would have ahead of them. It's whether they're up to it. Garlett prefers the flashy low percentage option, often to the cost of the team, and Nibbler has ... whatever the opposite of X factor is.

Ground balls

Round 7 Non MFC matches
Assessed as star player, finals contender, good bloke, aw he wouldn't have meant that = fine (later appealed down to nothing) Gee, you wouldn't want to see someone lose a Brownlow because of one little careless act of head high thuggery, would you?

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Match the quote to the player. Player one: You bloody beauty! God I love this club! Player two: Ken oath mate! I bleed for the red and blue! Player three: yes, well, I bleed too. For the ... is it orange? No, I think it is red and --- brown? When you literally swim in money you lose track. All ords down this week. Bit of a bugger.

that's two this season and both have been against us in this game

then a hawk ran through the "protected" zone

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Amazing what a bit of scoreboard pressure can do. Suddenly the Hawks are not so composed and our frantic game style is working in our favour

Oh come on, they're [censored] good at holding weights underwater

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Hawks will pull away to a 10 goal lead then put the cue in the rack to stay fresh and uninjured. We will still madly run around like ants whose nest has been disturbed, and to the same effect.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
There's a first time for everything. Such as, the first 50 metre penalty this year for going in the protected zone.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
A Hawk player kicks short inside 50 to another one who is on a lead. Is that even in the rules??

DL, can you climb up on the grandstand roof and see if the pilot light is on?

May setback + Jetta knee injury (8-10 weeks)
All kinds of records broken. Richmond to Casey on Monash: 22 minutes AAMI to Royal Oak after training: 3 minutes Whopper + fillet of fish + large fries + large thickshake: 2 min 9 sec

Sponsors offers/ discounts etc
The club is offering all would-be sponsors a 50% discount on annual fees, a 3-game cooling off period, and a no-win no-pay guarantee.

Welcome Back to the Bottom of the Ladder
By that logic, we should be picking David Schwartz as a key forward

Won't someone think of the children? (seriously)
Itβs the young supporters I feel for. School-age ones, especially those in primary school. Like many, I am toughened by copious scar tissue inflicted by decades of near misses, false dawns, and (more commonly) outright failure. The anger, frustration, etc, are not new to me. For me, the sun will still come up tomorrow (most likely ... are Sportsbet offering odds on that?). But young supporters, having found themselves last year suddenly basking in new-found honour and credibility, courtesy of our new-found winning ways, are now slumped back in humiliation and bewilderment. Who could blame them if they choose this time to jump ship, to one of our winning rivals (you know who), or off the sport altogether? This season is gone, but the pride and future support of our young supporters can still be salvaged with some wins against good sides. If this sorry collection of pea hearts, incompetents and stubborn mules the mighty MFC doesn't get its act together quickly, we will find ourselves right back in the calamitous times between Neeld and Roos, when the very existence of the club was at stake.

Viney to miss a couple of weeks.
Yes, Viney's football IQ is limited to being tough and never taking a backward step. A very valuable attribute but with an obvious downside.

In the year thirty five thirty five we'll find our goal scoring will thrive we'll kick five or six goals a game then go out next match and do it again In the year forty five forty five our rate of scoring goals will rise to the sky we'll shoot at goal again and again some games as much as nine or ten In the year fifty five fifty five the club will pull out of our crash dive we may start to win some games and even push for finals again, woa-woh βͺ
