I've been on record as being pretty excitied about Natainui however I still want to see how they all go in the u/18 championships and remaining games before mkaing a decision. I'm just still shitty that abc2 are no longer showing the games from the west.

BB, the Dome is a great place to watch a game of footy. I'll give you my views however I haven't been for awhile so it may be out of date info. Generally the 1st balcony level is the best for viewing, although I believe you need reserved seating for that area. The cheapie seats are in the top level, but I'm not sure what they're like. The ground level is also pretty good to see the game as well.

Sorry, had my sarcasm level set to 'very high' when I made that post

You sure about that? http://demonland.ugbox.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10263

Luckily for us we need a ruckman, gun midfielder and a KPP, so regardless of who we end up with we'll be happy.
-
Up forward he plays more like a small forward than a KPP. There's a reason why he's not playing for Melbourne and just going at Sandy.

Kerr still has another year to run on his contract so no go for the psd even if he wanted to. I'd love to have Kerr, he's one of my favourite non melbourne player but he'd cost us too much to land him. Under no circumstances should we trade our first pick away.
-
I highly doubt that, at this stage he hasn't even shown anything at VFL level to suggest he'd be a good AFL player.
-
I'm not convinced that he is a strong mark, that's been the major issue with him developing as a forward. He lacks markings skills, specifically overhead.
-
Thanks DD for that, good read.

I'd love to know what went on between Bailey and a couple of the players early in the year, specifically Moloney. There were alot of rumours floating around but from what I've gathered Bailey seems to have worked bloody hard at changing our culture.
-
His vision and quick hands in packs was what really impressed me about the kid.
-
As much as I want to get the first pick I don't think we'll 'win' it, we're starting to play some good footy and have played most of the better teams. So I think we could end up with this guy.

I know we lost the game but I took alot out of it. The performances of Buckley, Morton, Wona, Valenti, Warnock and Garland were all very pleasing, even Miller did well early. I know I judged him hard in another thread but we need to now look at him differently, we know what he's capable of so we just be demanding that of him every week. Of the negatives two stood out, Bartram and Frawley. Bartram is a worry, he seems to be another version of Godfrey, while Frawley isn't quite a Key defender but isn't a rebounding mid size either. They both have time on their side so hopefully Bailey will give them both plenty of time to develop.

Very funny 45h, Four weeks ago I had him pencilled in to be delisted at the end of the year, I'm very, very happy to be proven wrong. I'll even go as far as saying that he is now our best young tall defender behind Rivers.
-
McLean and Bate were both pretty good, Green and Bruce also had solid games. For me the performances of Garland (who now has taken the mantle of our best young tall defender), Wona, Buckley & Warnock were most pleasing. I had written off a couple of guys in that group, and I'm very, very happy to be proven wrong, hope it continues. My most dissappointing effort was Miller late in the game. He was good early but with Holland playing injured it was a good opportunity to stand up in the last quarter - take some contested marks in the forward 50 and kick a couple of goals, sadly it didn't happen. He teases us with glimpses of what he can achieve. 3 - Bate 2 - Buckley 1 - McLean
-
He definitely improved on some of his lacking areas yesterday, was good to watch him attack the ball hard and dish out some handballs. Also as previously mentioned he was good with the 1%'s. I quite like our midfield with Valenti and Buckley involved, with some of their hard work around the packs they release McLean and Jones to be more attacking players, we just need one or two really quick ball users to cap them off.

Only certain types of individuals want to feel important, and rarely these individuals ever are, in fact the ones who talk about it are even rarer. I'm amused though that you think I resent you because of your desperate desire to feel important, but that says more about you than me, doesn't it. Back to the topic, you've been very vocal with your opinion, adamant that you're right. However if you were right and my post crossed the line then the mods would have been onto it immediately and deleted it. You know these guys and you know what I'm saying is right. It didn't happen that way, they didn't see an issue with it, and the result is your sloppy attempts at saving face. I have nothing to feel guilty about. Edit: As an afterthought I checked your posts, the last three you've made have been directed at me. In fact you'be been stalking me for well over 12 months with this bizarre obsession that you've got. You even stated that it's taken awhile for you to respond to my post, that tells me that you've been thinking about me since your last visit, desperate to get back on to have another crack - how sad. I'm honoured though that you feel the need to try and get the better of me, I'm obviously someone who you feel threatened by. One question for you, do you feel important now?

Ahh, I always knew him as Yeata.

Having 18 teams isn't going to make much more money for the AFL than 16, that's because there's already a limited times for the games to be televised. An extra game would have to be fit into an already very compressed weekend. For the AFL it would make more sense to reduce the number of clubs in an already overcrowded market and throw money and a growing area. Make no mistake, the majority of the other clubs don't want us to survive.
-
Pello, even with the CBF this year we're going to lose at least half a million. We are in trouble and we cannot afford to rely on the AFL to continue to bail us out. What concerns me about Melbourne fans is the fact that even after everything that's happened to this club we still have the attitude that 'we'll be right, the afl won't let us die.' Well there will come a day when the AFL will bend to the wishes of the non-victorian clubs and actively reduce the number of teams in Victoria.

Danny Hughes and Sean White are two of my all time favs, the Febey's frustrated me cause I felt they only had really good seasons in the years that their contracts came up. But who is gator?
-
I know I'm going to cop alot for this but here goes anyway.....I'm not saying that Kennet is right, he definitely shouldn't be commenting about another club financial status, it has nothing to do with him. But, since tiger Ridley put forward his reasoning that the club is not going to be able to survive in it's present form has anything happened since to prove him wrong? The only thing he didn't foresee was the AFL's CBF. Without that though we wouldn't have survived over the last half a decade, and now the AFL has made the decision to completely stop that funding. As we stand now we are unable to survive without assistance.

A premiership cup owned by the club and not the MCC
