  1. No just completely bewildered that someone could be so...., well inept.
  2. Pity, I thought that you had more than 'I don't know' in you, makes your whole argument look pretty weak.
  3. Yet you're still unwilling to answer a simple question. Gee, I wonder why that is? I understand though, I wouldn't want to answer that question either if I were you.
  4. There's always alot of pressure on the first pick, just look at Nick Reiwoldt. Naitanui will always be a target for marketing because he is the first of his nationality to get so much attention in our sport, he won't be able to escape that regardless of what pick or draft he gets taken in.
  5. Actually that comment re tackling was sarcastic, I'm surprised you didn't pick it up. I have no idea why Hayes was not dropped, but as you seem to know that Dal Santo was dropped because he only had one tackle then I assumed you knew about Hayes as well. Unless of course it has nothing to do with tackles....
  6. So, what was the reason for Hayes keeping his spot again?
  7. LOL, it that's your definition of being shot down then my advice is don't continue to visit these forums, it can get alot more personal and aggressive than this discussion/debate. You asked why I thought he was dropped and i told you, yet you still haven't answered the question of why Hayes wasn't dropped. It's a significant question because you made the statement that the tackles are a big issue, I happen to believe that it's a minor issue, and I also pointed out that this season his tackle count hasn't been that bad. A fact that you've clearly ignored in this discussion, perhaps it doesn't lend support to your pov? To expand more on my response of being selfish I believe he doesn't play by the team rules. A good example would be his shot at goal on the boundary line instead of passing to a teammate in a better position. He also clearly doesn't work hard enough when his team doesn't have the ball. He was also unfortunate that he had a low tackle count in the game before there was alot of pressure put on the coach to make an example of a senior player.
  8. Why wasn't Hayes dropped?
  9. He's selfish. Why wasn't Hayes dropped as well? He just had one tackle last week as well.
  10. Now this is the correct question, or rather the correct question is why did the Saints not make Blight go through the same 'interview' process that the other applicants were forced to go through at the time? They interviewed a whole bunch of applicants then they discovered that Blight was available and just jumped without even asking him what he was going to bring to the club. St.Kilda reeked of unprofessionalism from the time they sacked Alves all the way to the bizarre way that Thomas was forced to retire. The inbetween highlights (or lowlights) being hiring someone with no coaching experience and picking someone without interviewing them. They only have themselves to blame, and what's worse is that just a couple of years ago they had an exceptional list.
  11. He's tackle count had very little to do with him being dropped, but if you want to cling to that then good for you, I'm not really bothered though because I have no interest in either the player nor the club. I'm just bemused with your fixation on the tackle count. Dal Santo wasn't alone in that category last week, Lenny Hayes also had just one tackle, why wasn't he dropped?
  12. That he's ranked 4th for tackles at St.Kilda this year, I could have sworn that you mentioned that his tackle count was 'very low or non-existent'. Must have been my imagination
  13. Well, the bloke who sacked him ended up getting the gig....
  14. What's your point? Clearly he isn't the worst performed for the Saints in this category.
  15. Dal Santo is ranked 4th for tackles for St.Kilda this year.
  16. Harsh on Alves, very harsh. Alves was a coach who demanded commitment from his players, unfortunately for him he had a group of talented but lazy bunch of pricks on his hands who refused to put in the extra effort. The players went to the board to [censored] and moan and the board backed the players instead of telling them to grow up like they should have. Typical of the culture of the club, and it's been their issue for the last 40 years.
  17. You're probably correct in saying that he won't be traded, however I'm not convinced that not even considering it is the best thing for the club. The facts are that the new GC team will have a heap of early picks to trade and they'll be desperate to get some experienced players onto their list. The lure of a home grown Queenslander might mean that they'd be prepared to give up a pick above his actual value. remember they'll have a heap of picks to throw away, that means that they're not going to be as picky as a club would be with just one 1st rounder. We have to be smart, and dismissing a possible trade without even considering it is not smart.
  18. My understanding of what happened is as already mentioned, a long standing fued between a female member of each group. It escalated when a guy from the other group king hit Krakouer at a night club. Some time later they met up again and squared off, basically both Krakouer and this other guy accepting a challenge to fight. They took their tops off and then proceeded to belt the stuffing out of each other, I believe the problem occured when this other guy got beaten to the ground by Krakouer, someone else then kicked this guy in the head while he was on his knees. Honestly I don't see Krakouer as being the total villan in all this, this other guy has admitted to initially assaulting him in the first place and he wasn't the one who kicked him in the face while he was down.
  19. On the contrary dd I believe we should be encouraging the new team to have a look. Petterd looks ok but I'd be more than happy to trade him for a first rounder.
  20. hehe, not quite.
  21. With Green if we seriously wanted to trade him then we should approach a club like Richmond or Carlton. Been down for many years and had a heap of low picks recently but now pretty desperate for results to appease the fans, a player of Green's experience and ability would suit both teams, especially Carlton who have a very good midfield group. They'll finish somewhere between 6th and 10th.
  22. If we're smart then we might be able to get a very good pick for Miller, it's all about timing. Our best bet is with the new Gold Coast team, they'll be desperate for experienced key forwards so there could be a great opportunity of securing a 1st rounder for him. Petterd is another who will attract some interest from them.
  23. Tingay's story was as sad as you can get if in VFL/AFL. He could have been as good as anyone but was struck down with an injury that the doctors were never able to fix or even what was causing the problem. All because a silly girl pushed him through a glass sliding door...
  24. Just as long as he doesn't play like Jay Viney.
  25. H, you're right about alot can happen but that is great news. A skilled version of his father would be a damn good player, what position does he play? I heard a whisper awhile ago that Sugar Healy's son went ok but I have no idea of even his age.
