CASEY: Rd 21 vs Carlton
Criticism of Harmes' game, after fronting for Casey in abysmal conditions, says a whole lot more about the critic than it does about Harmes!
-
CASEY: Rd 21 vs Carlton
Dismayed that Casey have continued on with that error-riddled strategy of winning every game in the 2022 VFL season!
-
CHANGES: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Yes, totally agree! It would be far more strategic to win half the VFL games in 2023 than the 'win every game' strategy employed this year!

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Its all very well for Brayshaw to claim the delay is about due diligence, but now would be a good time to provide a much needed lift in spirits for the supporters. A true Demon leader would recognise that fact and would have timed any announcement to propel his team through the hangover / doldrums that have descended. Angus isn't doing that, and I now believe Angus is waiting to season end to announce his departure.

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
I thought Sparrow played his best game since GF. I thought Salem was getting back to his best… Apart from Lever’s return and the whispers of a Covid case, I don’t see a lot of changes. Does JJ have concussion? Seems acute knee jerk to drop players who give us an advantage (Jackson, Fritsch). Harmes may be dropped for Hunt, but I don’t think we will be dropping Premiership players that are fit

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Lots of creative moves suggested here... the type we used to make when we were bottom 4. We scored 100 points last outing and led our opponents for most of the game. Lever comes in for Tomlinson, maybe Chandler into the 22. Weids kicked 3 good goals, can't see him being dropped.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Gus made it very clear that the position he would be playing in 2023 was a fundamental component of discussions he was involved in about his future.

CASEY: Rd 18 vs Footscray
Max v English 2 X Hit outs, 150 more metres gained, 5 to 2 clearances, English had 2 more marks.... Not to say English didn't play well, just need some perspective

POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
So Max gets the highest game score on AFL site with 25 disposals and 40 hit outs, as well as second best on ground on SEN, but on DL he should retire because he is past it! A bunch of Joeboys as supporters!

CASEY: Rd 18 vs Footscray
I am a JVR supporter but he had only satisfactory impact today. Couldn't quite hold on to marks when he got his hands to it and was out positioned on occasions. Made a contribution, but not enough to warrant promotion.

CASEY: Rd 18 vs Footscray
Baker is a wet track bully! Bowey did his chances of a recall no harm. Hunt's burst plays were excellent. Dunstan keeps accumulating. Chandler has something worth investing in.

Trade and Free Agency rumours
Don't have to go back any further than last week to see Harmes' and Sparrow's worth when the game was up for grabs. They would be most welcome additions to any midfield group. People really do offer up some tripe when sitting within arm's reach of a keyboard. They play a different role to the pure accumulators... often lock down and run off!

POSTGAME : Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Is that the undefeated Casey Demons you're referring to? Must be a few mids doing something right down there!
-
POSTGAME : Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
A-hem! Lad is already an AFL Premiership player, who is playing well enough to retain his place in a top two team! What is non AFL standard about that?

POSTGAME : Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
I was starting to give up hope! We're only equal top! I remember so many years of just a squigin of hope of making the four if we won the last five games!

A measured response, Turner, well done! D Smith was unfortunate to be poleaxed, and probably concussed, late in the game. Rosman finding it difficult to have an impact in recent games.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - FRASER ROSMAN
Sarcasm alert- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - FRASER ROSMAN
Casey win by 11 points in trying circumstances to achieve something the senior team could not do last night. Casey remain undefeated in 2022. Its a crying shame that half this team will be delisted at year's end! - WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - FRASER ROSMAN
