I don't think he has time on his side for comingg through with the next group of players if next year isn't the one where he steps up and solidifies a spot in the best 22. Our list manager next year is going to be weighing up whether a 26 year old key forward that hasn't broken into the side, is worth the cap space, given there are alternative options like targeting a free agent or trading for a full forward in the 2023 trade period. Re-signing Weid and hoping he will be good enough to be in the team is the kind of leap of faith that could see us (in 2024) with a broken forward line connection, unable to capitalise on all of the inside 50's again like in 2019-2020, that would have us back in the middle tier pack. We'll see what happens anyway, I could be wrong and of course, hope he proves me wrong.

I decided midway through the first quarter to do something productive instead, so I did our household cooking with the game on in the background. Maybe next week for the Roos game, I can pay the bills and file some paperwork. Can't wait for the games after that!

We had a taste of what that was like in the Port game - It was fantastic. 360 is not worth watching when Essendon or Collingwood are struggling. They will dominate every single episode and Robbo will raise his blood pressure with a bombastic heightened emotion 5-10 minute diatribes that make you feel worse off for having sat there listening. At the very least its worth recording and fast forwarding through that content when its on to get the few good bits later on with players, coaches or Montagna/King content.
