  1. They'd be reticent to do that, knowing we're getting a pick to get Steven May and then looking at being a premiership favourite. That's Pick 19 or 20, not 15. And without Neale, an injury to Fyfe or Sandi has that being potentially pick 1,2 or 3.
  2. Is there a way for us to get Brisbane's #5 AND 2019 first round pick (5-8) so Freo can send them neale, and we can then send Hogan? Which player and pick could we send to Brisbane? I'd much rather us take a pick 5 into the draft AND get Steven May. The goalposts don't have to shift from our initial request of pick 5 & 6. Especially not to 5+23+30 pick etc
  3. I'm thinking Brisbane are on the losing end of the stick, so i edited in our 2nd round pick of 38*? to them Getting pick 5 + potentially pick 5-8 next year and losing Hogan, 38 and Hunt seems about right. Not too sure about Freo really. They get Hogan and Lobbe. Success.
  4. Just to add a post from the rumour file in regards to jayden hunt in brisbane (probably [censored]) - was thinking earlier about sending something to Brisbane to get the Neale trade done for overs. MFC In: Bris pick 5, Bris 2019 1st round Pick./ Out: Hogan, 2nd or 3rd round pick* Freo In: Hogan, Lobb. / Out: Neale, Pick 11 Bris In: Neale, Hunt. MFC 2nd or 3rd round pick / Out Pick 5, 2019 first round pick GWS In Pick 11. / Out Lobb Edit: Might seem like overs, but Freo want more for Neale than Bris have. They want 5+15, not 5+23. Bris now give overs for Neale but get back a player and pick
  5. Just to play along with this rumour/hypothetical: I was thinking which player we'll send to Brisbane this morning, in order for them to send something substantial to us or Freo, which would allow for Freo to get what they want out of the Neale trade. So, Brisbane would keep their pick 23, get Neale and Hunt. And lose their 2019 first round pick and this years Pick 5 to MFC, Freo keep pick 11 and get Hogan. We'd probably send a 2nd round pick back to brisbane.
  6. What happened to the 9news grab that hinted at another club throwing their hat in the right?
  7. Yeah, fits perfect. A hat tip to Mark Jamar and his work with Gawny, and also "Preuss or Preuß is a German surname derived from Preussen, the German word for Prussia"
  8. Trade Radio. "May just waiting for the deal to happen now, wants to be at MFC. Shopping for houses in Melbourne" I know it's probably well known, but it's nice to hear it spoken of as just about a done deal, and not that he will re-sign with GCS if the offer isn't good enough from us.
  9. It's more of a 'girlfriend doesnt want to commit to marriage, therefore i'll let her see some other guys for a few weeks and then decide on marriage with me or breaking up ' type of arrangement ?
  10. I know nothing about Dom Sheed, save that people said Gaffs suspension opened the door for him. So he doesn't sound like he has much value.
  11. Yes. It's possible to be on the bottom of the ladder, and handle a situation well. It's also possible to be 2nd on the ladder and handle a players last year poorly, Look at Adelaide with Lever. You think it will be unprofessional like that? Players rumoured to have been ignoring him, half time grand final arguments and the club not inviting him to b& f.
  12. I stick em in the freezer and then proceed to walk back and forth to the kitchen every 30 minutes for one!
  13. If Carlton players can accept and deal with Gibbs being out the door in a year, i'm sure demon players can too. Assuming Hogan goes all in with that final year and pumps his value, it's a win win.
  14. The key to it making sense is understanding that you left 'what might be' out of your sentence. It's all speculative right now isn't it?
  15. Unfortunately the good faith philosophy doesn't work with teams with victim complexes and hatred of victorian clubs. But conversely it also might mean that we may strike a good deal with Gold Coast with a later pick like 8 or 11 for Steven may as they seem to have been accomodating in the past.
  16. Would Freo do the Neale trade if we refused to let Hogan go for those picks? They'd be forced into a long-term rebuild with only picks 8,11,13,20 etc and Lobb!
  17. What if... Lachie Neale is now available? Brisbane are either bluffing, or they've given away on getting him because of Freo's stubborness. Is Lachie Neale and pick 11 out of the question? I do rate Neale. And if we managed to use 11 + player + picks to get Steven May, then we'd be laughing. Just a thought. A far fetched one at that. I do however think Brisbane are bluffing and using this to get Freo to do the pick 5 deal though.
  18. They won 1 from their last 17 matches and then just lost their Full forward and full back, how can they possibly finish higher than the bottom 4? Pick 3 next year is just about locked in. Edit: They also have the same percentage as 1995 Fitzroy.
  19. When i saw the Port/Freo pick swap, i had a feeling that Freo will try and push us for a few days to take the 20's pick. We still have some time to go I think.
  20. Hypothetically, if we'd lost Frawley for pick 11 and Sam Frost, while the other club kept pick 5 - i would have been livid. No way would Gold Coast accept that. Has to be another 2nd or collection of picks followed by our finest poker face to get it over the line.
  21. Keilty and Drunkn167 is overs
  22. Port were willing to give overs to get pick 6 mate! Losing 11, Frost and our 2nd round pick or so is going to be far more pallatable than watching an elite pick 5 talent in other colors.
  23. Tuned in to the trade radio to see what they were saying the picks just to kill some boredom, and they're debating gary rohan being top 8 in geelong or not. FMD
  24. How about Sam Frost and a pick in the 30's with 11? I'm not sure i'd take that as a GC fan. They'd probably only take 5 as they can't be bothered asking for more to bring it to that pick 3 comparable trade that they'd get next year. Pick 11 couldn't possibly be on their agenda without A LOT of sweetness.
