CASEY: Grand Final vs Southport
When they interviewed TMac last week at Casey he said that he got his boot stop caught in someone’s bootlace? It must have been worse than he thought.😪😢

Clayton Oliver now 2022 Brownlow favourite?
As much as we love Clayton he receives very little support from the umpiring brethren, a couple of free kicks would stamp it out, so even though he maybe the most deserving recipient, sadly I am not at all confident that he can win the Umpires Award.

Stats Files - 2022
Thank you DD for all your hard work, those stats really reinforce what we have all been trying to come to grips with but quite clearly the stats spell it out for all to see and yes Petty, May, Harmes, Clarry, Langdon, Hibbo and ANB came to the party. It also shows that a number of our best players were well down on form And we still only lost by 13 points. Just shows how important it is to play your Best Fit players but also shows get the boys back to full health and fitness and we can be right in it in 2023.

Max Gawn Reflects
Thanks Max Gawn our Goliath, the weight of expectation from coaches, supporters and the playing group drove us to second on the ladder but there wasn’t a lot left in the tank and we failed by cumulative 35 points from reaching a Prelim. Glad that Max is hurting like the rest of us. Now is the time to reflect get the body and mind right, refresh the list and game plan then plan for a big pre-season to get us back to 2021 fitness and mindset so that we hit the ground running in 2023.!!!!

The Trading & Drafting to Get Back on Track Board is LIVE
Hibbo and Melksham can offer a lot for our younger brigade and could play a lot of footy at Casey. I am thinking that JVR, Howes, Chandler, Bedford, Bowey, Woewodin and whoever we bring in via trade and draft will have a big say in wether they get the chance to play many games. We really need to blood all of the above.!!

CASEY: Grand Final vs Southport
Let’s hope that Mark is elevated next year to Goody’s senior team he has earned his stripes and I love the way his team plays selfless footy.

CASEY: Grand Final vs Southport
How cool for our Casey boys and our youngsters to play in the finals and Granny it will stand them in good stead for those that get the opportunity to represent the Dees in the future, TMac also sounded pretty chuffed to be playing in another Granny. Good luck and enjoy your big day boys. Go Casey Demons.❤️💙👍💕

Farewell Luke Jackson
Disappointed but hey we have been dudded before and will be again but it hurts a bit more this time he is possibly a generational player and he was brilliant for those 17 magical minutes in the Granny last year. To be honest I can’t remember him ever saying jeez I love this club and can see a future here. So he is probably honest as well. I hope that we can find a VG forward to salvage something from the LJ wreck. I will always hold him in genuine regard but not whilst wearing enemy colours. Good luck LJ.😭😭

WERRIDEE'S Player rankings
I agree WERRIDEE we have the KPD positions well covered and like the idea of Petty/Smith as swing men provides a lot of flexibility we can also use TMac the other way or direct swap with Petty. Even if we get Grundy we still need another ruck/ forward and another forward to support TMac, JVR, Fritsch and BB. One that likes a bit of body on body with strong hands with a bit of mongrel as well. Plus another big bodied mid with a bit of pace to keep everyone sharp, we may already posses that player but not sure. I am really hopeful that Bedford, Chandler, JVR, Bowey, Laurie, Howes and Woewodin get a run in 2023 must keep refreshing the list.

Good Year
Yes a missed opportunity that has left us all saddened and frustrated But we were in every game and during those last two games everyone at the game knew that we had to make every post a winner. Yet still we all knew that we were lacking that big gun forward who could take a mark and kick those critical goals. You could feel the desperation of the crowd knowing that we were frittering away our opportunities and letting easy goals dribble through at the other end because we never had anyone back in the deep 50. Angry yes, frustrated yes but despondent No. As mentioned above there is not much that needs fixing, some new faces a modified game plan and a couple of good forwards running around in our forward 50 will be the difference and we already have two running around at Casey. Looking forward to 2023.!!!!!!

A message to the marketing department
Agree strongly thbt I go to the footy with my family because I love watching live footy, it is pretty special and emotional once you get to the pointy end and although I was disappointed and saddened by our finals losses, I absolutely loved the build up and music chosen to get our hearts pumping, fire works, a packed house and the Demon army doing their stuff to rev us and the players up. We loved the experience and couldn’t have absorbed much more, just hated the ending.🤘😀👌👍✅💕

CASEY: PF vs Brisbane
A pretty dominant outing against the number 4 AFL listed team, good to see Mitch Robinson getting plenty thrown back at him. Another great team effort by Casey.!!!

Centre half forward
Hit the nail on the head Dingo that is what we are lacking a tough mobile CHF with good hands and can kick straight, cost us two finals in a row.

VOTES: SF vs Brisbane
6 - Tracc - hampered but tough and skilled, goal kicking has fallen away 5 - Harmes - provided the link option and one of few who can mark one on one 4 - Petty - saved us time and time again what an asset he is 3 - Langdon - tried his heart out but disposal a bit off tonight 2 - Clayton - Umpires enemy got no protection is a tough champion 1 - ANB for a good 1st half - needs to back himself more After half time we couldn’t buy a mark or kick a clean goal, they were slotting them from 50, perfect playing conditions in front of 62,000 mainly MFC and couldn’t get it done. Vey sad second half at the G last night.

Trade and Free Agency rumours
I must admit that I have been fretting for a couple of years now that we are lacking a couple of young talls coming through to cover chf and ruck/forward this has been exacerbated by LJ’s pending departure and Weid’s failure to come on and having MB and Majak as backup’s. I am confident that JVR will come into the team in 2023 but not excited about locking Grundy in for 5 years. The $700k a year would buy us two extra talls to fill the hole left by LJ. What happens if Grundy is a bust. If Jacko stays that will ease my anxiety but only marginally. I don’t want to see the club squander our future on a potential illusion.

The New TV and Media Broadcast Deal
The Good News is that the AFL, Channel 7, Fox (Kayo) and Telstra now have 9 years to get the product right and that should be good for our Code.!!
