  1. Couldn’t agree more Kev that is why I am hoping that we pick up a hard fast silky mid and a tough tallish utility that can kick and mark in this years draft. We have the class and brute force but it is spread to thin at present, we need a bit more quality around the ground.!!
  2. 6 - JV 5 - Gus just got better and better 4 - Tracc kicked the winning goal but was robbed 3 - Hunter 2 - Ed 1 - Clarry had a huge second half very rusty but he has had a huge break from footy. Special mentions to our mighty backline May, Lever, Riv, Judd & Bowey and our Skipper who dominated the Ruck contests.
  3. Sorry I have bee watching Crows and then Matilda’s that is a shocking 1st quarter score, thank goodness for Mr Ed Langdon.!!!
  4. Terrible news for Jeff Hilton and his family and friends. RIP Jeff.
  5. Rpfc I think Riv was on the last episode a couple of weeks back.
  6. Great to have Clayton back in the team his absence has forced us to utilise JV better increase Sparrow and Jordon’s role in the team and freed Brayshaw up to help increase our midfield rotations, these changes have made us a fitter and stronger unit. Also happy to see Brodie back in the side to good for VFL, we have to make this work and provide better support for our skipper over the next six weeks, this is crunch time.!!!!
  7. The extra 1500 Premium memberships in the Ponsford stand in 2024 will certainly help us going forward.!!
  8. Wooo wooo, I think I can, I think I can.!!!
  9. Beat Blue baggers on Saturday night and that will help with a couple of hundred extra’s.!!!
  10. Thanks DD I gave Hunter votes but did not realise just how good he was, same for JJ. Viney, Brayshaw and Tracc stood out and it’s always positive when the bottom 6 perform to a higher level, spots are hard to come by and we are only 3 weeks before finals. To bad Casey missed another game certainly doesn’t help our preparation.!!!
  11. I love this thread it’s a bit like Xmas there is such a great mix of talented kids available this draft that would meet our ongoing needs, I for one will be disappointed if we don’t fill a couple of holes in our squad. iE tall midfielder, tall defender, one other and pup. One of the things that I have really noticed with North, Crows and Hawks is the number of talented talls that they have running around. We have excellent smalls and mids on the list but apart from Turner, Jefferson, Addams and Verrall we appear light on for tallish juniors running around.
  12. Poor Mitch Hannan that is a nasty one, I think that we will all remember that three bounce run down the wing and kicking the sealer against Geelong, the look on Scott’s face is priceless. Good luck Mitch whichever way your career goes you gave us all a very special moment on the way back from Hell.!!!
  13. Very ordinary 1st quarter but then the Roos played their hearts out in the 1st half and it took a lot of hard work, pressure and a bit of accuracy (Kade Chandler) and brilliance (Kozzie) to get us back in the game. Inaccuracy in the last and the loss of Petty stopped us from racking up some percentage but happy with the team win in the end. Poor Harrison Petty when is he going to get a break.!!!
  14. 6 - Tracc 5 - Hunter 4 - Gus 3 - ANB 2 - Max 1 - Chandler JV, Kozzie, May and Riv next.!!
  15. Agree on everyone except Lache Hunter he played a brilliant game for us today.!!
  16. The door is wide open and it’s in our hands, exciting and sickening at the same time hush my beating heart, the boys will do it tomorrow.!!!!!
  17. Just watching our first encounter Vs Roos earlier this year at the G great 1st quarter 8.2 - 1.0 but they played much better in the second we are 10.3 - 1.0 with 8 minutes to go. They are trying to play keepies off and they have slowed us down. Can’t wait to get Clayton back, I remember when we were watching the game live we were so dominant that we got a bit restless and then a bit angry when they kicked 3.0 in red time and got the margin back below 100 points. Lol.!!!
  18. Thanks DC those numbers are really gratifying considering where we have come from, get to a prelim this year will give us 70k next year, snag a flag and it will be 75k. Wahooo.!!
  19. Ha ha DS did say starting 22.!!
  20. Whether we go in with one, two or three picks there is some super talent in this pool that will help keep us in that all important window.!!!
  21. Thanks DD our top 8 plus JVR and Melksham really went up a few notches, some of those numbers are huge, unfortunately we also had a number of players that were right off the boil as well. Heaven help the opposition if we all get it together on the same day. Max’s numbers are insane.!!!
  22. That was very perceptive Sydee I liked the way you summed up all our options last year and I now agree we need to recruit another tall back and hope like hell that Daniel Turner and Jed Addams have a huge summer and pre- season to fill the hole that Harrison Petty has left down back . Now that he and JVR have taken the reins up forward. Very impressive indeed.😁👍
  23. Agree chook Max is an absolute champion of the game, always plays the ball and leaves the low level stuff to his sniping opponents. We will all look back on his career when it finally ends in fondness and amazement.!!!
  24. Judd McVee the exit kid, thinks so fast picks out targets and hits them up in a blink of an eye and his hands are also so quick and accurate you have to replay the sequence just see how he did it. Judd is an important cog in our backline machine.!!!
  25. I didn’t get to the game or get to watch live as we were out at a family catchup all afternoon but have watched the replay twice and the last 13 minutes several times as well. Our forward line looked very very strong and versatile and Harrison Petty had one out of the box and opened the forward line up for the rest of the group. I say Yes we have found our full forward I don’t expect Harrison to play that well each week but the group really jelled yesterday against a strong and proven defence. I think that at 197cm Petty has the height, just needs to work out in the gym more to build his core strength and resilience. Having 71 inside 50’s certainly helped our case.!!!
