KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
Why has Morris mentioned that Pickettâs reason is âdirection of the clubâ? Thatâs completely false. How does channel 9 let that go on the air? Also I believe @WalkingCivilWar mentioned that Kozzyâs partner has family in Melbourne which has been helpful with the new baby.

Darren Burgess Potential Return to Victoria
The Crows had the hardest fixture out of anyone. They actually had some decent form the back half of the year. Surely Burgess still studies this stuff to improve. His approach of the May hamstring in the 2021 finals seemed almost academic in nature.

If only Luke Jackson hadnât leftâŠ
Was very poor last night I thought. Why wasnât it just him in the ruck?

14th
One spot off bottom 4 is pretty damning, but 11 wins is still decent.

NON-MFC: Round 24
Safe to say Richmond, North and West coast will all struggle again next year so that could be 6-0 for us.

NON-MFC: Round 24
Absolutely hate this season. Carlton missing out would have been a great consolation. Instead theyâre probably going to beat Brisbane with all their players back and the media will fall in love with them again when all theyâve done is beat North and West coast over the last 6 weeks.

How many years until our next premiership?
I think within 5 years.

The Psychological Filth
Looking at some of these results and itâs crazy how accurate the Pies have been in some of our games.

NON-MFC: Round 24
A bit late on this, but surely Xerri canât be considered for the AA ruck considering how bad North have been the last 4-5 weeks. I know he had 13 clearances but they meant absolutely nothing yesterday.

NON-MFC: Round 24
Watsonâs second half of the year has been really good. I wouldnât be surprised if he finishes 2nd in the rising star.

2024, The season that was, nearly was and then wasn't at all.
Clearly our worst season since 2019 and Iâd rank 2017 and 2016 over it too. Itâs probably on par with 2015. Even though we looked good after winning those 2 games in Adelaide, the midfield problems were starting to show.

How Many Weeks For Kozzy?
I think heâll get 3 unfortunately. He doesnât deserve 3, he should get off, but we all know the AFL too well. Great opportunity for McAdam to have a really strong pre-season and play his role for the first few weeks.

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
Iâm really not a fan of him playing so high up the ground. It really makes us look impotent when the ball goes quickly into the 50. This guy is our best natural forward and had a stellar start playing deep this year. Iâm not sure if itâs because of Petraccaâs injury but we need him deeper next year.

PODCAST: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
This is an open ended question, but do you think we are starting to value the wrong things at this footy club? We bring in competitors who will play our contest and defence mantra, but what about valuing the skills of the game? When was the last time this club recruited an absolute elite field kicker? Iâm talking a Gulden, Blakey, Daicos level. I see so many guys come through the door who are just average or maybe above average kicks. If weâre ever going to improve our turnover game weâll need some sort of drastic improvement in kicking skills and decision making under pressure.

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Surely no one turns the ball over as much as we do. Need some serious focus on skill execution over the summer. We won 2021 off scores from stoppages, however scores from turnover is the new norm. Weâll never become a good scores from turnover side unless we seriously improve our skill execution.
-
The Psychological Filth
They are an elite turnover team, apply excellent frontal pressure, swarm at the contest and they have a very solid back 6. Nothing to do with psychology. Goodwin and the coaches need to seriously work on our turnover game, kicking skills and pressure game.

GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Wow the weather forecast has really turned. A few days ago it looked like a clear night. Typical Melbourne weather. If itâs a wet weather game I think weâll lose. Of all the times weâve played fast and attractive footy itâs been dry conditions (West Coast, Gold Coast, Saints). I was hoping a repeat of the Gold Coast game but with this weather, I think it will be a very dour affair.

NON-MFC: Round 23
Darcy is giving Xerri a bath when heâs going in the ruck and then drifting forward. Hopefully this damages Xerriâs chances of AA.

My 3 word player analysis V Gold Coast
If Kolt can fix up his kicking, heâll become our best young player very quickly. Runs to the right spots, has pace and loves the contest.
