Neville Jetta Re-Signs until 2021
Has been quieter in recent weeks due to niggles, but still gets the job done, week after week. Proud to have him at the club.

Pace Or Grunt
He has elite attributes, and has been elite in certain games where he has been able to eliminate mistakes from his game and his mobility hasn’t been exploited, but he’s only suited to a central midfield role and we are blessed to have candidates for the same spots that appear to be true elites of the competition. Nice kid, works hard and has done some good things for the club, but there aren’t many fairytales in footy. Not in the traditional sense. Getting paid millions to play footy in your early 20s is pretty damn lucky, even if you have to spread it across a handful of clubs. I know I’m engaging in the ugly practice of writing the obituary to his MFC career, but I just can’t see him sticking around beyond this season.

Given up on Tyson. His strengths are possessed by others vying for the same positions that don’t have as many weaknesses. Valuable commodity for the trade period however.

Angus Brayshaw
I believe that was an impression of Saty fawning over the other midfielders and commenting on their mod-like attributes.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
I fail to see where anyone has made that claim. Absurd conclusion to make.

Stage Fright
THAT is the answer! Bring back Lynden Dunn! FMD...

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Then you don’t understand the impact it has on the club.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Players, coaching staff and club admin all in the one place. Having them separated creates a significant disadvantage. You don’t want the football dept having to travel miles to get to the training track.

New CEO - Gary Pert
Probably trying to wind up Garry.

Don't be surprised if it turns out to be wrong though.

Bernie keen to lure Sloane to the Dees
Not sure about that. Hodge, Lewis and Mitchell all had to be on a fair wicket.

Petracca in a rut?
Steady on. He's pretty much where I expect him to be. I imagine he'll have a huge season in 2019 along the lines of Hogan this year. It takes kids a while to figure this whole thing out, and he'll be dominating like Dusty in time, we just need to be patient.

Interesting that those guys put their hand up for the job. Who would have guessed?

Jake Lever injury - Confirmed ACL
On the money there, it would seem. (This being in reference to Dale Morris returning after suffering an ACL tear in preseason)

Having said that, the return for Dangerfield wasn't great. Dangerfield and pick 50... For picks 9, 28 and Dean Gore.

I don't think they actually matched, just that they threatened to certainly match it (as that would have then tied Dangerfield to stay with the crows on an identical contract, to my understanding). However I am aware that the AFL plays it pretty free and loose with the rules in these situations.

New CEO - Gary Pert
Explain, if it is "all about winning", how exactly that applies to Pert's appointment? And then how that has anything at all to do with corporate contacts?
-
New CEO - Gary Pert
That's rubbish and it just demonstrates your lack of understanding. I also doubt Pert bringing over his Rolodex is going to do great things for the club, and fail to see how it's relevant to your first couple of sentences.

Petracca in a rut?
Exactly.

New CEO - Gary Pert
Thats the point I was making. Beware the fool's gold of any staff coming from Hawthorn, Collingwood, Geelong, etc. It's easy to get the job done while the team's has wins coming out its backside and hangers-on are clamouring to get to club events to rub shoulders with legends. Many a coattail ridden in these circumstances. The real work is done at the also-ran clubs, and the pretender-to-contender clubs.

It was probably a point that deserved being made twice anyway.

FWIW I kinda agree with your sentiment, but the way you make the argument is poor

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
And for gods sake, never have Vince & Lewis in the same team again.

Yes. Roy Morgan might not be infallible, but I wonder what credible source WYL is using as a base for his theory?

New CEO - Gary Pert
A single base for all football and admin staff is sorely sorely needed.
