Davey suspended by Leadership Group MELBOURNEfc's Aaron Davey has been suspended for a week of AFL football for unprofessional preparation in the lead-up to his Round 14 match against Brisbane. Davey, was in Darwin during the week leading into Round 14, attending a close friend's mother's funeral. Davey volunteered his lack of preparation and unprofessionalism during his time in Darwin to the Leadership Group once he returned to Melbourne. The group recommended to the Match Committee that Aaron play a week at Sandringham as a sanction. Davey is now unavailable to play for MELBOURNEfc this Sunday against the Western Bulldogs and will line-up for Sandringham against Williamstown on Saturday. No further comment will be made. Just read this on bigfooty! Surely it's a [censored] weak to suspend sumone when they just attended someone's funeral?

i think people are forgetting wat brock mclean did yesterday hurt his ankle badly and should have just stayed out for the game but no brock showed courage and guts to come back on for his teamates and twise i saw him dive full tilt into a pack on one leg that he shouldn't have! if that kinda act doesn't inspire u i dont kno wat does! brock or greeny for captain!
