  1. Trent Rivers. If there is a time where you want to see whether someone has what it takes to step up in a midfield role and become a potential star then it has to be Rivers. His trajectory could be very similar to Elliot Yeo when he started out as a half back flanker in his earlier years.
  2. He's a defender doing his job.. because that's what defenders do mate. Forwards mark it and defenders spoil and defend. I'm not one bit surprised you can't distinguish from both because you've completely missed the entire point I'm trying to make.
  3. What are you on about? When you jump into a contest to mark or spoil the ball you're literally using your knees for both elevation and forward projection. I'll give you a prime example. https://youtu.be/NF-_HszEC9s?si=dEucELaXMzhlAIHJ Watch it in slow mo.. you think if Jurrah had connected to the head this would be deemed as deliberate, absolutely not. You're allowed to jump and use your knee as extra elevation and forward projection as Jurrah has done here.
  4. Well said and actually embarrassing you've gotta justify the whole argument. You can always tell the ones you've never pulled on a footy boot in their life. Look at the vision and you'll see Moore only has eyes straight at the ball. Like anyone that needs to jump for a spoil or go for a contested mark, using your knee is just part of trying to gain elevation in the air. They practise this all the time at training with the bags.
  5. Oh c'mon Titan.. you're referencing to a point back in 2021 where we were on the brink of premiership glory 3 years ago. Obviously things have changed since with our on field performance. I am no way supporting this whole Petracca could leave but you'd be silly to think that with the way player movement is now days it's not possibly out of the realm.
  6. You completely missed the point as usual. Enjoy arguing with yourself.
  7. "There are 99 reasons that is wrong with the club and the midfield is not one of them" 🤣🤣
  8. Not good at all mate. Started the year with a bang in the VFL then had some more injury interruptions and then unfortunately this now. Footy is a cruel game and unfortunately some just can't seem to get a clean break. He'd be absolutely because I know how incredibly hard he worked in his rehab especially during the off season as well.
  9. Finn was a Bulldogs supporter.
  10. When? I hardly recall any games where at the start of the game Max started forward and Grundy as a starting ruck. If anything it was always Max starting in the ruck and Grundy on the bench.
  11. I'd like for guys to be actually rewarded for their VFL form and guys getting dropped for poor form. AMW, Kolt, Laurie to play an extended amount of games instead of chopping and changing. I'm no Fullarton fan but reward him for his consistency at VFL level. Ridiculous that Turner gets a game up forward over him. Get Brown in for Petty. The inconsistency in team selection this year has been utterly bizarre.
  12. Because they're precious bunch lol.. Our form will attract the criticism it deserves. Only way to silence them is by winning the games we should be winning.
  13. He'd certainly have a sense of what culture is. Of course he wouldn't know the full inside depth of our club but his opinion is based on a number of exposed factors that everyone else has judged us on.
  14. Yeah the same Mick Malthouse that is also a 3x Premiership Coach, 1x AFLCA of the year, 2x All Australian coach and a premiership player himself. So easy to spot the cons that ALL coaches carry with them huh..
  15. Our best in form wins came against Port Adelaide, Hawthorn and Western Bulldogs. Can't count St Kilda as a one of our best wins lol. They're absolutely crud.. No coincidence that BB played alright in those games where we had blokes like ANB and Langdon playing their natural position.
  16. Pies once again into a big name player that fits a perfect need for us, while meanwhile we're busy in the background just hussling up this war cheat for Rory Lobb.
  17. Champion player.
  18. I remember getting all these articles back in 2019.
  19. Yeah a certain top 5 pick imo. I don't think he falls to our pick but if we continue to fall further back then who knows.
  20. I'm a big believer that 2023 is up there with 1998 as the biggest missed opportunity of a flag. All the stats in the land had us pretty much the number 1 ranked team of the competition. This is controversial from my end but losing Melksham from our forward line was a bigger loss then Brayshaw. When he went down our forward line lost all its system and leadership. He was the captain we needed up forward to galvanise our set up and then it's he's ability to engage with the number 1 defender to not only take him out of the game but hurt on the scoreboard just completely hurt us. No one will ever change my mind, but absolutely 2023 was the biggest missed opportunity for a flag from our end.
  21. A draft stacked with midfield talent is perfect because that has to be our number 1 priority.
  22. Thought he was going to be a gun for us. How wrong was I.
