  1. I'm really glad for Liam. Obviously those who have been posting on here that Liam is simply a drunk and a drug addict are way off the mark. Either that, or heis the greatest physical specimen known to man.

I rather think he might be trying awfully hard at a rehabilitation. Good luck to him.

Wonder how Wonna's conditioning was today???

This whole post is way off the mark.
  2. 4th tier. The WAFL is probably below VFL and SANFL but they are all second tier comps.

I disagree on McKenzie. His defensive work will be critical to the Roos game plan I believe and he'll be a standard setter as long as he is the best defensive midfielder on our list.

But I do agree that Michie will be above Bail due to clearance ability and skills and will be above Evans if his fitness level is comparable. Part of the reason Michie wasn't getting a game at Freo is because they were developing his running ability with time. Evans has a similar poor history with injury but right now I believe is in the main group whilst Michie is in an advanced rehab group with Viney and Hogan. Running ability is paramount for the midfield and can't be faked. Hopefully with good preseasons Michie and Evans are both up to AFL level as runners. Same for Matt Jones and Toumpas.

SANFLand WAFL are just as good as the VFL.

  3. We should draft him as a rookie, it would be gr8 PR and he would get people to games I'd like both him and Garlett at the club. I hope Roos can see the big picture.

Haha Roos see the big picture? Mate jurrah wouldnt not even make a kodak picture let alone thinking Roos would want this idiot back.
  4. Buckley has had the talent on field to perform much better than they have performed!!! Malthouse left him a club that were premiers and runners up. If Malthouse was such a bad people person, why did he get his players to perform whilst Buckley can't?

Buckley is under performing and the spot light should be on him more.

On another note, Buckley was a 'Pho Assistant' under Malthouse. He was pushed into the 'Opposition Analysist' role just to give him a role until he took over. Malthouse did not utilise Buckely as a 2IC, he just put up with him because he had to.

At this point Buckley is a failure.

They were hit pretty hard with injuries this year. Beams, Thomas, Toovey, Fasolo, Keefe, etc. Yet they managed to still blood about 6 talented kids.

With Taylor Adams plus pick 6 and 11 they get some very talented players to go with the likes of Grundy and Kennedy and so on.

They will be a force next year.

  5. Hope he turns it around and gets back in the afl, but it won't be at the dees.. We already have a bloke who jumps over where jurrah used to jump too.. And now we have 3 monster forwards.. I loved watchin him as much as the next person.. But sometimes you only get one opportunity.. Sorry pal, if you were fair dinkum you wouldn't of put yourself in that position..

Wont be with anyone else either.

  6. Ah I have stood next to him for one, I am 186 and he was basically the same size. Also if you have listened to Kevin Sheehan he has said that he has grown 3cm since those stats were printed earlier in the year!

So in other words you guessed..

Sorry but even his latest article has him at 182cm and he even looks it.

  7. I went to school with fuller and played a bit against him in the hfl. His stand out is his work ethic, he was an average player as a teenager, decent but nothing spectacular but he has worked so hard at his game and fitness. From what I've heard on here about cross- same mindset.

I remember as a 16 year old when I was living in the hills seeing him running along beside the road in the freezing cold during off season.

He's become a good player for norwood in defence purely on hard work and determination. He has talent but he definitely isn't the kind of guy that relies on it.

Would love to see him at melbourne despite his size, lol he was tiny at school and hasn't put many kilos on since but he has great core strength.

Im still waiting for when Jack Watts becomes the next Nick Reiwoldt.

    Threads like these are stupid.

  8. Spoke to liams cousin Darren Talbot and he mentioned that Liam two Mentors in Bailey and Stynes were the big reasons he was doing so well with his life and football. After they left he was really shattered and then Neeldy came in he had absolutely no time for Liam or his issues and family.

Darren had to fly down numerous times to be with Liam and every time he approached Neeld, he found him to be very unapproachable and cold.

  9. I see no problems in this Jack Watts Thread?

in fact I see only positives at the prospect of him playing as a tall midfielder and finally staying in the one postilion

If we have to start a thread on Watts playing in the midfield well then I don't see the problem?.

  10. Sorry for late reply, had to get back to reality....didn't say body shape...talking about his running....saw him first day last year and he struggled, his words yesterday as well, obviously been putting the miles in.....if you actually follow them on Twitter, when they are on holiday....you get pics of the gym in the hotel they are staying in, or where they went for a run, Nathan Jones who is due back in two weeks tweeted he went for a lrun yesterday.....footy is so professional these days, they may be 'on holiday', but the fitness never stops

Saty can you tell how Michie was going? He hurt his knee playing in the WAFL and was wondering if he looed propy or gingerly walking and running around?

    cheers.

  11. I know this might mean nothing to anyone but it good to see Maiaa Westrupp first day of Pre Season. Shows the kid is very keen. Very quick and has a deadly leap.

Evans has bulked up and I reckon pedo has trimmed down a little bit.

  12. WJ,

I think you will be able to get them on iview, even if they are not replayed in Victoria, I think on ABC2.

Hopefully, the fact of the comeback indicates a change in attitude and he has now got his mind right. A mentally and physically fit LM I'd rookie in a heart beat. Any chance Wonna could be persuaded to do the same? A fit and firing Wonnamiri would certainly solve our small forward challenges. I think the loss of these two was the start of the Bailey era decline. If Roos could get them up and firing, it would make things very interesting.

Just imagine a fit LM as the FOURTH tall forward. His ground skills are such too that he can play like a small as well of course. He and his little mate Wonna would be quite something in that forward line. We can only dream!

    No the dream is over.

  13. Chr*st! Freeman is now 185cm! Doesn't anyone listen! He will be number 9. All the info flowing through from other clubs is that he WILL be available and we WILL pick him. Now i am calm, got the cup trifecta on a mystery bet and just sobering!

You never answerd my question in where is your proof that he is 185cm tall.

So again where is your proof..?
