  1. Watched the replay last night. Clearly Goodwin told the players that the shackles are off and it was time to just go and take the game on and have a bit of fun. I thought whilst Rivers was poor by foot, he Bowey and Langdon were the ones that really got us going with their run and carry. They were top 3 for metres gained. Please Simon, implement this game plan over the off season. We looked dangerous when we take the game on and get it quickly into our forwards. No coincidence that Petty, JVR and Turner had combination of 10 goals between them because they got one on one contests due to quick ball movement instead of being bombed on their heads in a pack. Thought Koltyn Tholstrup played a good game and had 24 pressure acts which is impressive for a first year player. Have said this before on here a while back, but Daniel Turner up forward reminds me so much of David Neitz in the way he moves and jumps at the contest and his kicking action is eerily similar. He's aggressive and hits the contests hard. Everyone thing you live as a key forward. Sam Collins started on him and by quarter time they had to move him of Turner because he could stay with him. Collins is no slouch and one of the better defenders in the league, so that's a huge confidence booster for Disco going into the pre season. There is something to work with there. He needs a huge off season in terms of getting his fitness levels up, but if he trains as a full time forward over the summer then reason why he can't kick 30-35 goals next year Blake Howes played his best game for the club. Looked far more composed and assured with ball in hand. Could be a smoke for rising star nomination. Liked Marty Hores game as well. He's worth keeping on the rookie list as depth and experience. Always puts himself in good positions to take an intercept mark. Gold Coast are an absolute joke to the competition. The amount of talent they have on their list to then perform the way that they have this is just pathetic. I'd be going full raid on their list to pick off their young talent.
  2. It's incredibly hard to back up that kind of intensity each and every week. Especially with thr position he plays being a battering inside midfielder. Taking into fact that he is 30 years of age and it is an absolute grind each and every week in getting your body up most weeks.
  3. Bringing out the receipts after one game of the year where our talls decide to kick actually goals. Don't worry, I also have a heap more saved under my belt as well. Only took 23 rounds to finally fire a shot. If Goodwin is correct in wanting to build cohesion with Petty, Turner and JVR then why sign Jefferson him to a contract extension. Based off those comments he'll barely crack a game next year. (Sorry Pickett)
  4. Wow! Been out all day playing local footy, I turn my phone on after the game and fist pump in front of everyone. Congratulations Goody and to the squad. Thr amount of heat and stress this club has been under this week I thought it was going to be a tough day. Well lads and everyone involved with the footy club. Can't wait to put my feet up and watch the replay tonight 🍻
  5. Can someone provide a run down summary
  6. Anyone give me am update on K Brown, Adams and AMW please.
  7. Remember when folks use to ask why we never trialled Weideman down back? Tonight will explain why.
  8. He's reported as facts just like the rest of his information is now seen to be correct. He's clearly talking to his player manager which has provided him with the information that had he not be contracted he'd ask for a trade which I absolutely believe given how disgruntled he is.
  9. Funny how he was actually correct with his information and everyone on here accused him of false claims huh..? How do you know what the facts is? You're saying it's not dealing with the facts when you yourself don't know deep down. Morris was right all along when he broke Petracca story. This is backed up by Pert or Goodwin not even refuting the claims that he was unhappy. Everyone knows he's unhappy and I have absolutely no doubt if he was out of contract then he would request a trade exactly how Morris confirmed. Well said mate and please post more.. it's head in sand stuff with some folks on here. Its up to the footy club now to implement the changes that is required. Destiny is in their hands now.
  10. Instagram shows they were flying up this morning?? Jack Viney was still at home as of last night as well.
  11. Head in sand stuff with Wayne. Always has been, always will be. You'd have Raygun dish up the same performance in the next Olympics and he'd still tell you it's a 10/10 performance.
  12. Team selections gave been an absolute disgrace for the best part of two years. Utterly bizarre that you can name Jefferson who's actually got the forward craft as an emergency for two weeks straight in a side that's struggling to kick goals knowing that finals is completely out of the equation. Don't change Goody.
  13. Likewise, Geelong have kept an eye on Oliver all season. Privately, the Cats think they could accommodate Oliver and Western Bulldogs’ Bailey Smith in its salary cap for next season, but a deal for both would be enormously difficult.
  14. Who's always had a good Intel on Melbourne....
  15. No one has suggested they want him here.. Our discussion is based around Geelongs interest in him.
  16. Was that around the Dom Tyson trade period?
  17. Midfield depth to be the key this off season it seems.
  18. Yes which doesn't justify a first round pick imo.
  19. See I don't know whether Smith is actually worth a first round pick? Has just missed a whole year of footy and prior to that he hadn't achieved anything of note to be worthy of a first round pick. I even had to go in and check out and special accolades or awards but there's nothing except winning best first year award at the doggies. To me he's worth an early 2nd round pick.
  20. The point is that a lot can play out between now and October. Things change quickly such such personal circumstances. If Oliver came to the club and requested a fresh start for the benefit of his mental health then there's no doubt the club would certainly assess the options. The Jesse Hogan point was he was also contracted for a few years and was dealing with a lot of personal issues with his family and mental health. Goodwin was asked around September 2018 and categorically denied he would be traded. Well didn't that all change.. You can absolutely believe what you want to believe from Goodwins presser because of course he's going to play a straight bat. Had he come out and said that there are no guarantees that Oliver remains with the club then imagine the media going to town and the significance of the story. Look at the way Ken Hickley has handled the Houston talk the past few weeks. All Hinkley has been saying about Houston is "he's contracted player and we expects to stay" stock standard coaching 101 in how to play a straight bat to the media and not fuel the fire. Yet all the talk is that he's absolutely set on coming back to Victoria. I'm not saying he will be traded at all purely because I don't think a club will take on his huge contract and salary, but if an opposition club came and dangled an offer that would be too good to refuse for the footy club, then absolutely, you'd be pretty stupid to think that the footy club wouldn't look at it. I definitely think Petracca absolutely stays, and the club will be he'll bent in him staying but I think there is still a bit to play out regarding Oliver.
