Kozzy went up to SA about 2 weeks ago. It only came last week by Dannyz that it was pretty much a confirmation that Kobe has been offered a spot. Some people on here who have watched training would say that maybe Deakyn Smith was ahead of Farmer. But to Kobe's credit, he too has apparently trained extremely hard, and if he has made the squad, it'll be off the back of hard work. Hearing Richo say that Pickett may not be due back to the club until March means he'll be away from the club for over a month. While I'm sure he'll be training with with WWT in the SANFL he'll still need a few weeks to catch up to AFL fitness. In fact I personally think this puts him in doubt for round 1. I'm sensitive to Pickett's current situation due to my current role working with a lot of indigenous family, and the mourning process can at times extend further after the initial funeral. I'm glad he's getting the right support and me personally hopes he takes all the time in the world before he feels comfortable coming back to Melbourne. If Kobe's training form been strong as documented on here then I'm sure they'll look at him over the trial games etc, and who knows? Maybe he pushes his case for round 1? In saying that though there has been no confirmation at all about Kobe, so it's all speculation.

Let's be honest, doubt he physically burnt them.. just a throwaway line. What hasn't been mentioned so far is the pump up he gave Luke Jackson. Can't wait to see him play more games this year.

How do you not know that club provided little support? Do you have evidence to back that up? From all he reports he was provided with a huge amount of support alongside his partner and daughter. The WAGS at the club really made his partner feel at home in the Hub and coaching and welfare staff were able provide necessary support for him and his family.

Are you serious? How many more chances does he need? You do realise this [censored] cost the club 50k for not following simple lockdown rules and when the club tried to reach out to him for the concern of his welfare, he spat it back in our face and went on a drinking binge. There was a 1 year contract right in front of him and [censored] it away. I was all for supporting him at the start but good riddence to him. I'd rather bring in people who will bust their [censored] for this footy club.

Really sad about young Kozzy. Condolences to him and his family. As Richardson said, we are extremely lucky to have Mathew Whelan as a guide of support for Kozzy. The beauty about is that he's still training over there I'm guessing with a SANFL club. Great opportunity for the likes of Bedford, Chandler to stand up. Makes sense that there are rumours about offering Kobe Farmer a spot on our list.

How did he look physically mate? Doing a pre season for North Heidelberg is stark different to AFL. Makes you wonder how much catching he needs to do in terms of AFL fitness.

Wonder I'd they've mixed that up with Weideman?

Anyone else concerned about the whole kozzy Pickett situation? I know he's been home in SA for for whatever reasons, but hasn't trained for 2 whole weeks, and now Victoria shutting down as a whole, I don't see him returning anytime soon.
