2018 was one of my most favourite year supporting the Dees other then 2021. We played such a fast brand of footy and then to have the win like we did against WC at Subi which was going to confirm our finals spot for the first time in 12 years. The wave of new generation talent in Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca, Hogan, Weideman coming through... I thought we were going to steam roll WC in that prelim final.

Not far off.

There was a few times AJ was able to physically manhandled Hipwood in the ruck when they both got their turns each. Even at centre circle throw ups he managed to actually get clean tap to our mids. For now, he stays in the team. Sydney will both have McInerney and Amartey out but Mills and Taylor Adams should return. Stop Heeney and Warner and it will go a long way to us winning.

Heard Lindsay has been taken to hospital.

This was actually a Josh Mahoney endorsement and appointment. Mahoney was an assistant coach when Wheels was still playing and kept in close contact with him when he was doing some work at Essendon.

Not sure if rate this coach at all. As you say 18 AFL listed performance against a team full of part timers. We've underperformed this year in my opinion.

Because based on form in the VFL he should have/been picked ahead of Tholstrup. Goodwin preaches so much about picking guys based on form and yet he doesn't back this up through actions. Tholstrup was picked off the back of a pretty extensive lay-off from injury and no VFL form. I like Tholstrup, and unlike others, think he'll be a solid player for us moving moving.. but its an absolute farce he was brought into the team ahead of guys who have put in the work over the pre season and VFL, Laurie being one.. No different to Jefferson being selected against Hawthorn off the back of 7 disposals and 1 goal VFL whilst also playing some minutes off half back. Just mind boggling.. Yet according some on here, we can't question selection integrity.
