How do you know the leak is coming from the club? The coaches of the managers do leak more then anything.

Josh Gaeblich tonight mentioned that Brendon Lade was another that had a strong interview with us and apparently the panel were very impressed.

Buckley is still my first preference. If he decides not to go ahead then happy for Kelly if they deem him the best fit.

Definitely warming to James Kelly. Not that I didnt like or rate him, just thought he didnt fit the bill of being a fairly experienced assistant coach. I mean, anyone thats been in such a successful organisation as Geelong cant be too bad..

The first element is definitely football and on field results. I see a bit of Paul Roos appointment in this Buckley one. Roos was able to come in and sell hope to our members and sponsors just because he could. Some guys are just natural leaders on and off field and I put Buckley in that category. To be honest we have gone back to being irrelevant again. Significant drop in memberships, members of the playing group not happy and no official home base as yet. I feel like a guy like Buckley, with his profile and positive relationship in the media alongside a hopeful appointment of Jimmy Bartel can really galvanise this footy club again and actually bring us back to being respected in the competition.

In my opinion Bucks has the brand and charisma to attract sponsors. He speaks well in the public eye and has great connections in the cooperate world considering he is always a guest speaker whever he goes. I follow him on Instagram and there is no doubt he he has pulling power with the way he conducts himself professionally. Where we sit currently with memberships and sponsorship, if there was one guy that could really be the face for this footy club and build our brand back up again, it would be Bucks.

So would I. And I would absolutely love if our coach was out there being proactive and ruthless with recruiting, regardless of who it is.

I've known Clarry since his days at the Murray Bushrangers where I did some part time work when he was coming through the system. I dont bump into him as much in the off season as I use too socially, but boy the stories and stuff you see first hand 🤣 Lets not pretend he's a saint.

Game has gone past him. Have known this was coming as far back as the start of the year. He was initially unhappy with the club last year around his injury management but this year was purely just wanting a fresh start. Good luck. 3 year deal so looking likely a 3rd round compo.
