Farewell Clayton Oliver
Well Tim Lamb isnt going to come out so early on the trade period and confirm how much we will play. In fact, he was asked that particular question and refused to answer which says to me that if traded we will indeed pay some portion of his salary.

Go back and read what Tim Lamb wrote on the Jackson trade. He talked a big game on a "generational talent" about needing more then just pick 13 and a future pick. In the end he accepted exactly what he said he wouldnt accept initially. That's folding.- The List Manager Tim Lamb
I gave you proof of folding at trades.. Luke Jackson. He was out of contract and talked a big game considering he said Luke was a "generational" talent and would need to be more then just pick 13 and future pick.. at the end he folded and accepted exactly that. Dont beat your chest demanding more only to then accept the same offer you say ypu wouldnt except? Where is the proof that it was a board decision?- The List Manager Tim Lamb
My gripe with Tim Lamb isnt just narrowed down to trading a contracted player out. You do realise there that being an official list manager of the club right? Clearly not.. He has made dumb list management decisions by bringing genuine list cloggers to giving out ridiculous long term contracts to Jack Viney. You're delusional if you think he has done a great job of late.- The List Manager Tim Lamb
Well let's just with the big chest pumping about Luke Jackson on October 4 2022 hey? Speaking to AFL.com.au's Callum Twomey and Riley Beveridge on Continental Tyres AFL Trade Radio on Tuesday, Lamb said it "would be fair to say" they would look to secure more than Fremantle's pick 13 and a future first-round selection, and will look to strike a deal with whichever club can offer the better package. Obviously, both Freo and West Coast are still exploring their options and we are going to do a deal with whoever comes up with the best deal for us, for Luke to get back to Western Australia," Lamb said. "Where that stands at the moment is we are just waiting for the best offer from both clubs. We've had initial talks with both of them but it hasn't progressed very far at all. "We'd love to get as early in the draft as we could this year, understanding that obviously when you deal with a futures market, you can't predetermine where that pick will land. We understand that. "Luke was a pick three, he's a Rising Star winner, premiership player, he's 21 years old. Whoever gets Luke is getting 12 years of what we would describe as a generational talent so I think we are being fairly reasonable there." Now let's look at the final trade.. Melbourne gets pick 13, Fremantle's future first round pick and future second round pick (tied to the Dockers) in exchange for Jackson, picks 44 and 67. GWS gets Toby Bedford. Huffed and puffed at the start then folded in the final hurdle. Should we discuss the McAdam trade whilst we are at it?- The List Manager Tim Lamb
Yeah for an ex copper he sure does know how to fold like a deck of cards when push comes to shove.- The List Manager Tim Lamb

Watching Tim Lamb talk tough is funny.- Bailey Humphrey
Im guessing this next meeting is the club now offering him an official contract offer from our end.- Bailey Humphrey

What great pick do we have?- Bailey Humphrey
They can easily block because he is still in contract regardless of whether he nominates.. How many times have seen contracted players request to trade only to not happen because the club hold all the power. Dunkley, Daniher, Papley are just prime examples.- Troy Chaplin MFC interim coach 2025

Yes, correct.- Bailey Humphrey
Gets a lot right then wrong and has broken some fairly big stories of late. People get so butt hurt about him that its actually funny watching them cry and melt over him doing his actual job.- Bailey Humphrey
No, as in GC would be asking for 3 first round draft picks for Humphrey as a starting point.- Bailey Humphrey
Tom Morris just said that if Melbourne ask for Humphrey in the Petracca deal then Gold Coast will walk away. Reckons they would ask for 3 first round picks.- Farewell Clayton Oliver
Their first pick isnt until pick 38 which will obviously blow out to the mid 40's- Farewell Clayton Oliver

The Gawn, Viney extensions were board decisions, @dazzledavey36 . How so? I havent found anything that suggest otherwise. At the end of the day its Lamb's job to draft up a contract and yes get the final tick of approval from the board with any list management decisions. Lamb still has a massive input into this and as it stands he got this one complete wrong. Whether it was panic station from the Roos offer or not, it was completely unnecessary to offer him such a long contract at his age. I'm well aware of both their roles thanks Adam. Taylor has done an exceptional job bringing in some of the talent. Langford and Lindsay for instsnce are easily 10+ year players for this footy club. Give us some more early picks for Petracca and I think he will cook well again. Lamb on the other has butchered some of the list management decisions over the past couple of years. The long list of names i provided have been at the expense of Lamby. Its a long list of genuine list cloggers which has neglected in us bringing in young talent instead. I would love to see Steven King start fresh with a whole new list manager beside him.- The List Manager Tim Lamb
Well no not really? If you're talking age then Petracca who is 30 years old is only worth a second rounder going off your criteria. He is about to command an early first round pick as a starting point. McVee has done nothing significant. Hes been a role player and thats it. No guarantee that he turns into a more significant player. For all we know he could just stay as that solid role player at Freo snd churns out a solid 150 games. Hes worth an early to mid 2nd round pick.- Farewell Christian Petracca
Lamb has had an absolute shocker the last couple of years. Billings, Schache, Sharp, McAdam, Dunstan, Fullarton, Hunter, Grundy. Not only that, some of the list management decisions and contracts he's handed out which we are now trying to get off the books. Giving Jack Viney a 4 year offer even though he was already contracted was one of the most bizarre list management decisions i have seen. Giving up a lot in terms of draft capital just to move up the order and select Tholstrup who has already been told he needs to shape up or else. I'd be a happy man if the club got rid of him after this trade period (they wont). - The List Manager Tim Lamb
