  1. Amazing scenes.. Bloody hell can we bounce the footy right now!
  2. That's usually what a captain's run is day before the match.

Yes I am aware all that. Perfect example is the Josh Dunkley case last year. See my post above. It's my biggest pet hate players having far too much pulling power over the actual contract obligation.

Like when they put Tom McDonald up for trade last year when contracted? Or when they traded Jack Watts and Hogan when they also were contracted? Not in anyway saying Jacko will leave because it's pretty obvious he wont. But to say that he won't leave because he's contracted is laughable. It's the AFL landscape now days. Contracts are pretty much irrelevant now because we are seeing far too often now players have far too much power then the actual contract. It's my biggest pet hate. I loved seeing the doggies last year refusing to trade a contracted Josh Dunkley.
  5. I feel sick watching the captains run..

    Means nothing now days.

  8. Okay boys and girls [censored] getting real now.
  9. Simon Goodwin and Max Gawn with be doing a live press conference. You'll be able to tune into Fox Sports News to watch it live.
  10. Pretty sure Chandler was emergency against Geelong and Brisbane.
  11. Watched that. My god that was some quality content.
  12. [censored] it feels real now.
  13. Jordon remains sub?
  14. How did North Smith do it? Only won 6 flags by coaching from the bench.

All these guys are worth absolutely nothing.
  16. Ross Lyon. I pay no attention to a guy that paid hush money for a sexual harassment incident that swept under the carpet. Up there with Wayne Carey as the biggest oxygen thief out there. I did laugh at this but..
  17. I know you've been banging on about this for the past week but you do know the doggies are getting their fair share of articles also?
  18. dazzledavey36 replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
I wouldn't. I know both Sparrow and Jordon are rated extremely highly internally, but Cerra is better then them. Every year you need to find ways to better your list. Getting Cerra makes our list significantly better.

With Carlton announcing their coach now wonder if this now plays a huge part in Cerra’s decision.
  20. Great little article on Jake by Riley Beveridge. https://www.afl.com.au/news/679588/bowey-and-his-bullet-the-six-game-dee-who-kicks-it-like-whitfield/amp?__twitter_impression=true
  21. I too don't mind this also. Weid is still only 23? So hes still fairly young and now coming into the peak of his career. He should take great inspiration from McDonald and Neal Bullen who were on the scrap heap and now have turned their careers around. There is certainly a chance for him to grab McDonald's spot next year. But that's up to Weideman. Goody gave him a good string of games this year to cement his spot but unfortunately for him he couldn't and I think the injury in the pre season really set him back.
  22. Some elite athletes just know when to flick on the switch come game day. Ed is obviously good at this and I think that's the extreme competitor that comes out of him. Chris Judd was exactly like this in his playing days. Ed strikes me as someone who has the perfect balance in his life in being able to switch off footy and focus on his photography and also his private life. I remember his interview with Ben Gibson he said he watches zero football because he's already consumed with it during the week with meetings and watching vision. He's a very impressive athlete is Ed.
  23. Set to stay. DEES FORWARD BACKFLIPS ON FUTURE MELBOURNE is poised to retain young forward Sam Weideman. Despite ongoing speculation that the talented 24-year-old would pursue opportunities elsewhere next season, AFL.com.au understands Weideman will commit his future to the club. Weideman is unlikely to line up in Melbourne's Toyota AFL Grand Final team for this Saturday night's decider against the Western Bulldogs, having fallen out of favour behind Ben Brown, Tom McDonald and Luke Jackson this year. Without concrete interest beyond those two teams, Weideman returned to negotiations with Melbourne and is expected to pen a new deal with the Demons before the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period. A two-year contract would take Weideman through until the end of the 2023 season and into free agency, where he could potentially depart the Demons without having to negotiate a trade agreement.
  24. This. Gawn was fine but Brayshaw just kept talking over him and it was frustrating to watch. I haven't been big on the Gus and Gawn show really and the only 2 episodes I've watched in a few months was the Simon Goodwin interview and the Ed Langdon last night due to me being so intrigued with Langdon on a personality perspective. It's pretty obvious that Langdon is a an extremely private person and certainly keeps to himself. He's not big on comrade and the typical locker room banter. Certainly an introvert. I never understood the whole #positivelingers thing, but it was certainly interesting that he expressed that he hated it from the start.
