If they want to go for a mature age depth then I'd certainly be looking at Lewis Melican from Sydney if Tomlinson decides to go. Turner has the potential to step up down back if they decide to trial Harry Petty up forward next year.

It's not the brand that gets them players it's more lifestyle then anything. It's a country type environment compared to the big city lights of Melbourne. Don't underestimate how many players now days would rather this lifestyle more then anything. A huge key part why they were able to recruit Jeremy Cameron. Then it's their recruiting of guys like Stengle and Tom Stewart out of nowhere which also annoys me. Stephen Wells still has an eye for a talent and he's able to top the list in with players that can come in and make a genuine impact immediately.

I hate Geelong with a passion. But I admire how they're consistently in premiership/finals contention every single year.

So @binman was right after all!? Team performance was down due to the heavy loading of grog undertaken by a few senior players at the club. Makes sense.

He'll be right. He's done it all before with a team that was in similar position to a recent premiership team.

Baker, Rosman, Jackson, Hunt, Melksham and Hibberd are now the only players who are out of contract? Didn't I read somewhere that there is some talk Melksham may get a 1 year extension as well?
