  1. Yeah so thats the coaches job to that, not Kate's. Players are in capable hands under some very good. coaches there. I'm just asking for an update considering both Kate and Gary Pert said there would be an official announcement end of last year/start of this year. We've been waiting since.
  2. Cheers Kate. What's the update on our home base??
  3. From Fox Footy articles about Jackson. Someone mentioned on here that Hunt would most likely be at another club next year. Looks like the opposite. Quote was from Jon Ralph. “(They are) set to recontract Jayden Hunt. Decisions ahead on (Michael) Hibberd and (Jake) Melksham. “Multiple clubs have interest in Toby Bedford – he hasn’t signed yet.”
  4. Just on a side note, Matt Buntine has been an astute pick up for Casey this year. Cool and calm down back and has provided fantastic leadership to our younger brigade coming through. If he was a few years younger I would happily offer him a rookie spot.
  5. Great performance by Casey. It was a team effort all around. If we're dead set wanting to save cap money then forget Grundy and trial Weideman as a ruck/forward. Give him one last hit because the last two Casey games I've watched him as a ruckman he's dominated. He could relieve Gawn but also play as that 2nd tall with JVR as the 3rd tall forward with maybe Harrison Petty/Tom McDonald. JVR is the real deal. I've banged on about him far too much this year. Told you he's the real deal @Bitter but optimistic. The excitement is real. His 2nd efforts and defensive tackling pressure for such a big dude is insane. Chandler and Bedford need to play more senior games next year, it's as simple as that. The dynamic and X factor these two have is untapped imo. Spargo and ANB are under pressure imo because I think they've been incredibly disappointing this year. Blake Howes has certainly grown. He looks 192cm tall instead of the 190cm as listed. I would also like to see him train in his natural position as a 3rd floating forward. Reminded me of Gunston when he took that mark. Corey Ellison is absolutely worth a look imo even as a train on player. Has solid hands and is physically mature as well. Rarely gets beaten. How exciting is Andy Moniz Wakefield? His ariel work and leap is very impressive. He's such a unique player that I actually don't know who I'd compare him to in the AFL. Strong summer and hopefully few NAB games next to Kozzie. Onto the big dance!
  6. It's certainly a collective as a whole I agree and I have mentioned them as a group together. Yze and his mids were poor during the finals series. The connection between Gawn and the mids was completely out of wack as it had been in certain parts of the year. We had two best ruck combo in the game and we got beaten around clearances far too easy for my liking. I think Stafford will be under pressure the most to keep his job. Line coach of a pretty dysfunctional forward line wouldn't exactly look good on his record I think Goodwin will reflect back on this year and know deep down if he had his time again he would have done things different. We know he's a good coach as much as he's frustrated the hell out of me. He'll learn from it. Said during the week that regardless what happens this finals series I'm genuinely excited we can do some serious damage next year.
  7. Albury mate. Grew up around the area so know Corowa inside out. Missus family are big part of the Corowa Footy Club and have been for many years.
  8. Surely that was @adonski doing the "Roo Roo Roo" chant in the background!?
  9. Haha don't go changing your narrative to suit just because I've called you out on it. Now you're adding speed and power into it which absolutely has nothing to with your first argument which was he was on the short side as a defender. I clearly pointed out that he's got the perfect height as some of the best full backs in the last decade. And how do you know he doesn't have the power off the mark? You CLEARLY way off the mark in this because its his power and speed off the mark is the reason why our recruiting staff were so quick to get him into the club. Add that to his intercept marking and defensive ability and I can guarantee he'll be playing a lot more AFL gamed next year. He's got the frame to put on enough size to play as a 2nd key back and potentially as a full back later down the track.
  10. Casey are fun to watch. Pity about McDonald. Playing really well and easily would have played next week had we won last night. Weideman killing them in the ruck. Chandler and Bedford just add so much zip and pressure around the ball. Please more of them at AFL level next year. Tomlinson the general down back. Great team performance so far. Two more to go until the big dance.
  11. Field kicking is elite. Low and hard.
  12. Jeez what a clunk by Blake Howes! Reminded me of Jack Gunston the way he just floated across. I feel for Oskar Baker. Has been so consistent at VFL and not once I don't think he was named VFL level. If a bloke deserved to be rewarded on form then it was Baker. Pitty form at VFL level is irrelevant.
  13. Wasn't clever wasn't it...
  14. Shorter side? Lol... He's 194cm tall which is taller then Steven May and Tom Stewart and same height as Alex Rance. You say some weird things.
  15. Dunstan is all class at this level. Should have been playing more games instead of Sparrow.
  16. Van Rooyen clunk 🔥🔥
  17. Have no idea what will happen with Jake Melksham from a contract point of view. But Corowa Rutherglen Football Club have pretty much a senior coaching role for him to walk into if he is delisted. Brother Darcy plays senior footy here for the Roos and his dad Dave is a development coach.
  18. No. Goody's coaching has frustrated me more as the season gone on. But in no way form do i/we need a coaching change. But we're allowed to get frustrated you know. Some of the calls on here for him to be sacked/moved on have been ridiculous.
  19. Haha you genuinely believe this don't you.. My god the delusional is clear in this one. Game style and method is a by product of poor coaching and having a zero back up plan. Not the fact that our game plan was completely flawed from the moment Freo Sydney and the likes exposed it mid year. Goodwin and the coaching group showed a complete and utter lack of match day innovation when we were challenged throughout the year especially in the 2nd half. They continued backing of the same method in our forward structure that was being pulled apart by teams because of how easily one dimensional it was. Bang it into the pocket and pray like hell our smalls lock it in, yet we were rated 17th for forward half pressure. So the smalls weren't even doing their job. Coaching group completely butchering team selections this year. Not taking our opportunities to rest blokes against North and West Coast when there were early signs of fatigue. Exposed once again tonight for going in completely banged up and yet the coaching group had the absolute nerve to go in unchanged. Complete stubbornness and arrogance to not only refuse to reward the blokes who showed consistent form at VFL level this year in the likes of JVR, Chandler, Laurie, Bedford, Dunstan but the continued backing of Sparrow, Spargo, ANB Rivers who have all been consistently poor especially 2nd half this year. No willingness to try and bring in fresh face or personnel to give our playing group a different edge or new element come match day. Maybe explain to me what was our plan B this year? Only time Goody and the coaching group decided to show a hint of plan B was 3 minutes to go last night and they decided to throw Petty forward because it only just hit them then that our season was a bees [censored] from being done. Pur season capitulated on the back of poor coaching from our coaching staff. So yes, give me an absolute spell if you think this is solely on the players.
