TRAINING: Thursday 4th August 2022
I saw that. It was well played by Melk. It looks like a tactic we'll keep heading into the finals which I think we'll go with the 1 tall.

No idea to be honest 'red'. And to be honest I'd be happy with the one change of Brown for Weideman.

I'd only play JVR only if it's alongside another key forward such as Brown.

Adem Yze confirmed this morning that Ben Brown trained well this week and if he gets through today's captain run, he'll play tomorrow night.- Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
This is damming by Caro..- Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
The interview with Betts on AFL 360 is in incredibly to watch. The bloke was in complete distress after the camp to the point where he went straight to the AFL immediately afterwards and voiced his concerns and yet the AFL did nothing about it. The AFL now release a statement today acknowledging the pain that was caused. What the actual [censored]? They acknowledge it after the truth is released? Disgusting from Gil.- Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
He's an embarrassment.- Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
Mark Riccuito doesn't get it does he..- Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
So he wants his wife to get blinded folded on a bus, or tied up to a harness using fake weapons and abusing the [censored] out of each other? Okay Tex....................- Farewell Luke Jackson
Very tall. Wouldn't be surprised if he's around the 197cm mark. Tall and lanky giraffe who towered above everyone else.- Welcome to Demonland: Country Road
- Farewell Luke Jackson
Watched his son Kalani play for Qld in under 15's championships the other day. Goes alright the kid.- Farewell Luke Jackson
Jeff White in full flight was very exciting to watch. Let's not forget for a guy that was only 195cm he would easily jump over guys like Peter Everitt, Shaun Rehn, Brad Ottens, Paul Salmon who were well over 200cm plus. White was also well ahead of his time with his ball use and ability to get around the ground. His kicking was pretty elite for a big bloke especially in an era where ruckman were more known to be the lumbering types. Also, Jeff could take some serious hang time. His leap was insane. The problem with Jeff was his shin problems and then also when they brought in the centre circle rule which limited his biggest strength and that was his run and jump and ability to just thump the ball forward.- Farewell Luke Jackson
Okay I'll try and break it down for you because we all know you've got a history on here in struggling to understand the basics. The comparison to Jeff White/Stefan Martin is purely only for their athletic ability and being able to get around the ground and winning midfield like numbers. In fact you could lump Nic Naitanui as well with the follow up work after a ruck contests. Jackson freak athletic ability is what makes him pretty special and unique. In today's terms he's was probably a touch small for a ruckman but he makes up for his ability to get around the ground so easily and win the footy.- Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
Agree 100% and well said mate.- Eddie Betts opens up on the weird camp
I'm hit and miss with Sam at times. Caro on the other hand is one of the best journo's going around, and I say that without hesitation.- Welcome to Demonland: Country Road
Bugger.. Was hoping for Wu-Tang brand personally.- Farewell Luke Jackson
Yeah could be worse. I could have compared him to Jack Watts but he was ridiculously soft. Jacko at least cracks in.- Farewell Luke Jackson
The whole 'next David Schwarz' narrative really does get a good flogging on here, but he's no way at that level at all, or ever will be. Ox pre knee was primed in becoming a genuine superstar of the competition. At one stage he was on par with Wayne Carey as the best player of the competition. I rate Carey alongside Leigh Matthews and Gary Ablett Snr as one of the best ever players we've seen come through. Luke Jackson will be a very good ruckman in years to come. Imo I think he is a tad short for a ruckman in being able to reach the levels of a Dean Cox or Max Gawn of being that star factor in his rightful position. Close comparisons imo would be a Jeff White or Stefan Martin who were able to win the footy 20-25 possessions a game and play as that extra midfielder due to their high athleticism.- Should Jack Viney be captain again?
Well that flopped.. lol- Should Jack Viney be captain again?
Was having this discussion with another Melbourne fan over the weekend over a few beers. We both agreed that we felt Viney was much better prepared and a bit more mature enough now in easily slotting back into the role. I'd love to see him slip back into that co-captain role alongside Gawn going into next year. Thoughts?- CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood

Harmes can earn his spot through the VFL. His form at AFL level has been ordinary anyway. Let's not overrate his performances please because Brayshaw doing the job at AFL level keeps him out. Thr footy club rates Sparrow enormously highly and they'll find ways to keep him in the midfield. Let's not forget Harmes was a turnover merchant against the doggies. Right now ANB provides the insane defensive pressure and Jake Melksham who is proving me wrong, is giving our forward half a different element and dynamic. - CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
