Two of the worst speeches you'll hear. But seriously, absolutely [censored] rigged that they award Brisbane player BOG medal.- GAMEDAY: AFLW GRAND FINAL
What a bloody exciting game to watch! So proud of Mick and the girls! Well done and thoroughly deserved! My girl Eliza West turned it on today! BOG for me.- GAMEDAY: AFLW GRAND FINAL

Costing ourselves big time.- 2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Yes please to these selections.- Bailey Humphrey
Interesting indeed. Makes sense why we're trying to sneak up a couple of spots?- Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Gut feel is Ed Allan is first priority over Jefferson. Probably makes sense why we are now wanting to go up two spots or so.- Phantom Drafts Thread 2022

Ben Waterworth from Fox Footy who is a keen draft water and commentates on the under 18's championships has done a phantom draft. PICK 15: MELBOURNE — MATT JEFFERSON Position: Key forward Size: 195cm, 78kg Clubs: Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro AFL player comparison: Harry Jones A former Victorian basketball rep champion, Jefferson possesses outstanding overhead marking ability, great forward craft and competitiveness in the air – the latter trait being one recruiters were pleased to see develop this year. Jefferson is a classic example of how a strong showing at national championships level can significantly boost your draft prospects. He surged into the top-10 draft mix after starring for Vic Metro and producing a consistent NAB League campaign, kicking 27 goals in 10 matches across both competitions – including a seven-goal bag against WA. In the mix: There’s a view among sources that the Demons, who’ve also held a long interest in Ed Allan, might look to get ahead of the Eagles on draft night via a live trade so they can pounce on Allan. The Demons’ proactive nature in flagging trades with other teams over recent weeks suggests they’re open to a move up. If they go for a slightly smaller forward, Murray Bushrangers star Brayden George would be a chance. Melbourne has also been linked to South Australian Harry Barnett — regarded as the best ruck in the draft class — but would probably only consider him if they moved down the order on the night. Sense of feeling I got from the JT interview.- Farewell Luke Jackson
Well to be honest Bell isn't wrong.. He's right in saying that our entry inside forward 50 is too narrow and it doesn't play to advantage to any of the key forwards that we rolled through there. I mean we recruited a 60 plus goal a season forward to then just bomb it onto his head in a crowded forward line which is exactly the opposite to his strengths. Worries me that this will impact JVR's development with this [censored] forward structure. If this is on Geg Stafford then we simply cannot be rolling with the same forward structure moving into next year, and it immediately needs to be overhauled.- Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Everyone is "elite" in his eyes.- Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Have the sense of feeling after hearing Jason Taylor talk on radio that we'll go best available with pick 13. Hopefully a good slider from the top 10.- Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Big call but Foster is the type of player that has the potential to turn into a Nick Larkey or Mitch Lewis type player at AFL level. Low picks with little fanfare in the draft but thrive in a full time professional environment.- 2023 Fixture Wishlist
Less night games.- Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Agree. Serious chance that someone like a Harry Lemmey is there at 37. Was touted a genuine top 5 pick at the start of the year but his ratings dropped due to poor championships and form. His upside for a 200cm key forward is enormous in my opinion. Other options I like and really hoping we select is Phoenix Foster. 197cm CHF who's got huge work rate that works up and down the ground. Contested marking another of his biggest strengths. Kicked 26 goals in 11 matches for SANFL under 18's, so he is a goal kicker. Can actually swing into the ruck and use his leap to his advantage. In fact, in one game in the championships SA ruckman Harry Barnett was late withdrawal which mesnt they had to swing Foster into the ruck. It was a strong performance and i think thats whay recruiters then took notice of his versatility. This is the kind of versatility that will appeal to JT. When every single phantom draft has us selecting Matt Jefferson because key forward etc etc..- Welcome to Demonland Kyah Farris-White
Interesting. Is this based on having seen him play footy when he was younger or just based off that photo alone?- Bailey Humphrey
- Neville Jetta
I'm not sure if it's the same, but I'm pretty sure once you nominate for the draft your nomination lasts for 3 years. I'm guessing he nominated last year.- Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
After hearing Jason Taylor I didn't exactly feel that we are fully on the Jefferson band wagon. Sounds like it'll be best available for pick 13 with then attention turned to a needs pick for pick 38 which sounds like where where'll go for a potential key forward. - GAMEDAY: AFLW GRAND FINAL
