I think he's had bad games and good games. To be honest I would even say that Tomlinson has been in better form as a defender then Petty. Petty played his best game as a defender last week and that's now what I want to see from him each week.

That's actually a lie. Pre knee injury in 2021 there prominent stat that he was the number 1 defender in the whole league who hadn't lost a one on one contest. Had he not done his knee then he was well on his way to being a premiership player. Unfortunately with the Oliver news, it is what it is. Need to move forward now and continue to find ways to think our midfield. I think the positive is that our midfield has actually held up better then I thought. We're still beating teams in contested possessions and centre clearences so not like our strength around the ball has dropped. Still think we can be better by adding Pickett in there and giving more midfield opportunities to say Salem or Rivers.
