PREGAME: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
Some decisions to weigh up. Do we rest someone like May? He looks completely off and proppy. Could bring in a Turner and move Petty back to take Larkey. Spargo will obviously come in. I think Jordon will unfortunately have to miss. Does Schache come in as the extra tall forward? Was the carry over emergency and form alone in the VFL is so far superior to what Tmac and Brown dished up on Sunday. Then you have Harmes and Dunstan who could come in fresh legs, but again it'll be a matter of who's sore off a 5 day break.

No it doesn't 🤣 especially on form alone. They've had the absolute wood over us over the last 5 years. One of our now bigger bogey teams. We have only Salem who's best 22 to come back into our team whilst they have Adams, Murphy, Lipinski, Howe, Cameron and McStay. Their upside is enormous compared to ours.

Yep. They're next level. Hurts me saying this but I honestly enjoy watching them play. So exciting with their brand of footy and admire McRea for turning this club around on field.

Collingwood outright premiership favourites for me. Nick Daicos unfolding in front of our eyes is just pure greatness.

Farewell Sam Weideman
He was woeful against St Kilda. He was back to his timid self that game. Reading the essendon boards after their loss they wanted him dropped. Can't say I agree with the Wright comment. What difference will he make that McDonald and Brown couldn't over the past couple of years?

Farewell Sam Weideman
Playing his best 1 game game for every 10 games. Otherwise, he's done nothing this year. I'm glad he's getting an opportunity but he's not missed one bit.

I usually do watch the Fox pre and post game stuff. Here I was thinking, nah I'll give channel 7 a go and see what they hope to offer with hope that they have improved over the off season. How wrong was I, seriously cringe. I watched the Fox Footy post game stuff this morning on Kayo and it was far better content. The interview with JVR was great, and majority of the discussions were all footy related.

Playing the Charlie Spargo role you may say?

Serious? It was cringe as [censored] interview until Chandler came in and composed himself well. Gus could barely put any full stop to his conversation he was talking that fast that you could barely keep up with what he was saying. Majority of the interview was spent talking about Brayshaw's engagement and nicknames of the players and barely anything about the game. This is why Channel 7 is the worst in the business led by Hamish. They honestly think this is exactly what the supporters want to hear post game. Rubbish content by them once again.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen

Why didn't we give him or Rivers a run in the midfield? His round 1 performance where he played a fair bit in the midfield was so dynamic. Thought we needed a spark and he would have been perfect.- Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition
Let's try and add a different flavour to this. Fre supporters have to suffer enough having Luke Jackson and giving up a top pick. Now they have to suffer the fact we have JVR... Went and checked out bigfooty at Freo. It's not @Lucifers Heroquality but close enough. Enjoy! • Awesome mark and goal by JVR. • Anyone know if we are in Van Rooyens ear? • Van Rooyen on fire here • JVR is a gun. Wish we had drafted him. • JVR + Amiss. Imagine if we had the guts to do it. We had the picks. Could have set us up for 15 years. • JVR, Amiss and Johnson woulda been quite the haul • Set up the contest for the goal. Mark and goal. Free kick and behind. Mark then goal. JVR doing it all • It's hard not to think that Amiss and JVR could have been our version of a Buddy and Roughead haul to set us up for a decade. • Probably hoping he would've slid to 21... should've just had the balls to take him at pick 10 instead of Erasmus. I rated JVR much higher then where he actually went. • Could of done a Hawks and gone JVR and Amiss pick 8 & 10. Jobs done. And no go home factor • Think we are hoping Treacy can do a JVR. • Doubt it. JVR spent his whole first year in the VFL and kicked 37 from 19 games. Treacy's best return is 19 from 14. • JVR again, * me what a player • He just looks so much like a FF. The toughness, the swagger. He did in his draft year too 🙁 • How did JVR slide to pick 19? I mean seriously. • Sigh. What could have been, what could have been... • JVR will be attracting quality defenders from now on. • We’re gonna regret not picking JVR up Freo supporter, right under our noses this ******* club. • Thing is I don't think JVR would've been a reach at pick 10. All the recruiters must've been on drugs or some s**t for him to slide to 19. • JVR has some aggro and swagger about him. Powerful unit and physically imposing. Plays a bit like Treacy but with more talent and athleticism. Would have been a perfect combo with Amiss. He was ranked right up there to start the year, then had glandular fever (?) and slid down. We were handed two WA spearheads on a platter and still wouldn't take both. Mids can always be found in later years. • Until & if Erasmus starts to boss AFL it’s going to look like a hell of a blunder not to take Amiss & JVR. Couldn’t have known Johnson would still be there at 20 but even so, as others have mentioned mids are easier to find & quicker to develop and we could have had our key forwards sorted for 10 years. Sigh . . . lastly, my favourite one. • All good we’ll give Melbourne 2 first rounders and a second for him in 2 years time.- POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond

Take the win for sure, still so much work to do. Seriously need to work out what our best forward mix and build it around JVR. Just on JVR, there was some Seriously embarrassing comments from supporters in the game day thread. Same ones are now praising him? C'mon.. Brodie Grundy was nearly the clincher for me. I thought he really changed the momentum for us. I know this comment won't be well received, but I think I prefer Grundy rucking more then I do with Gawn. Grundy just places its beautiful to our mids where as Gawn can be really hit and miss. And that's no disrespect to Gawn because I think he's more potent up forward. Was certainly good to have big skip back. Glad Viney was awarded BOG Bad: Hibberd, Oliver and May were absolutely howlers tonight. 3 senior heads who continued to cough up the ball in crucial times of the game. May's form is a worry and Oliver has gone back to just throwing the ball on the boot with zero awareness. Take the 4 points, recover well and move on to next Saturday.- GAMEDAY: Rd 06 vs Richmond
