  1. Watching him live from the vantage point of the Redlegs for the first time I have to say he hits the contest with terrifying power and intensity....provided he stays on the right side of suspensions he is going to scare the hell out of a lot of forwards playing for us
  2. Unless Gus wanted out I couldn’t see it happening...he is a valued and respected player in our team we are building a culture of brotherhood at the club, mercenary decision like that often backfire (look at Carlton they gave away everyone)
  3. Yes agree with everyone we gotta win
  4. Jones I am just speechless WHY DO THAT

May on Hogan as previously stated, concerned May doesn’t have the tank when Hogan gets on his bike
  6. Please no Lewis he is well past it, play anyone else
  7. May on Hogan would be a disaster, Jesse is an aerobic animal (despite also being a party animal), he will take May up and down the field constantly and soon blow him up. Freo have far too much run, pace and are frankly a far better team than us this season can't see how we wont get hammered....
  8. The Bulldogs have almost the exact same issue: tons of contested ball winners, handball heavy gameplan and horrific inside forward 50 retention and ability to score....I believe we copied their style to some extent especially with the recruitment of Brendan McCartney...obviously this worked well in the last few years but seems to be fundamentally ineffective in 2019 footy - time to change up some of our coaching staff maybe?
  9. I can't believe how poor we are at playing football ?

Our entire forward line has barely fired a shot all year, what are you going to do drop everyone?
  11. Ultimate backline reinforcements Collingwood will be lucky to score
  12. This could be an old fashioned pizzling: and not in our favour
  13. Preuss should sack his manager....why come to us and never play if he’d gone to the Bulldogs or Saints he’d be getting a game every week
  14. So sad and tragic for a young family, not sure how you'd cope with such news
  15. There really isn't any reason to play this guy any more this season...give someone who is going to be there for the future a go
  16. Another inside mid....ummmm.....we kind of have that position well covered already! That said welcome and good luck Kyle
  17. Where’s the Preuss?!

We should try and get as much out of this year before even worrying about 2020 I think: no guarantees we wont have as many injuries/form issues next year.
  19. Would be an epic win with our giant list of unavailable players, I think we are too young and inexperienced tonight to get close in this one.

Agree... no Preuss when he played well in the VFL, has looked good in his couple of AFL matches this year and we need Max in defence....weird selections again

Jeepers its the midfield and a skeleton crew

Only one problem: Tim Smith is 1/20th as good a footballer as Melk is

Max will also need to push back at every opportunity to support the defence in the air and stand in the hole in front of their leading forwards. Need Preuss to come in to do the forward half ruckwork (as well as play as a marking target himself of course)

Stopping Kennedy, Darling, Ryan, Cripps etc from kicking a cricket score is going to be a monumental effort with our outs

We are in a world of pain with injuries to our best players. Luckily the midfield is mainly there but missing a lot of quality at both ends of the field - need to turn the game into the ugliest defensive slogfest of all time and pray we find a way to scrape over the line by a point again
