I'm in the 'keep' camp as well...it's easy to trade all the guys who aren't 100% guaranteed a spot in the starting 22 but then where does that leave you when the inevitable injuries hit? West Coast were missing 3 or 4 of their absolute best side for the Grand Final but still had a deep enough squad to win the premiership: Sheed probably wouldn't have even played had Gaff not been suspended and he was their 2nd best player on the day.
Someone tell Jesse that playing on rock hard Optus Hell-hole Stadium and flying 4 hours each way back and forth across the country every fortnight isn't going to be great for career longevity
It was too damn hot....worst day at the footy ever I was in the blazing sun the entire match thought I was going to roast. Night footy there in future only please, 1:20PM in Perth Springtime, madness
Good season making the finals and winning 2 exceeded my expectations. Pressure and intensity in a Prelim goes up another notch, most of our guys hadn’t experienced that and they weren’t ready for it today....today will have taught them a lot.
Because if we win the flag we could afford to trade a couple of depth players for talented kids, if not I think we need all experienced hands on deck for an all out assault in 2019.
Its a delicate balance. Sure we could trade Dom for a reasonable draft pick but then what happens to our midfield next season if we get a couple of injuries to key players? Might depend on if we win the premiership this season or not!
I never got the email either but got a text - still I assume it doesn't matter I cant just log onto Ticketek tomorrow and register? Is there a special link I need or anything?
