Mistake for Lewis to go on this year

Speed isn’t as big an issue as our team getting beaten in contested and uncontested ball every week, without even mentioning our deplorable decision making and ball use....while we could do with more pace there is no way the current side should be playing as badly as it is, and a few quicker players won’t help until we start getting the fundamentals of the game right again.

Not prepared to completely write the trade off yet but it is a huge concern that we sold the best key forward we’ve had since Neitz and a guy we’d invested so much time, money and effort into for an older, overweight key defender who now appears to have a chronic injury. I think we need to start going back to the draft and get more elite juniors, Hawthorn are the masters of trading to fill needs but we seem to regularly make a hash of it. Could have added a player like Bailey Smith or Zak Butters at pick 6 who both seem to have a lot of what we lack.

We’ve always had fair weather supporters....when we were garbage between 2009-2013 some of the games I went to we were outnumbered by Adelaide or Sydney supporters at the G....there’s probably only 10-12K hardcore supporters who turn up no matter what each week...

That’s 1.5m a year for 2 key defenders, they’d want to get out on the park pretty soon.... We need to target a smart medium forward as well as midfield pace in the off season

I just hope we don’t have to wait another 10 years for another half decent season, the ROI on membership isn’t looking too flash right about now

Im not feeling overly enthused about going either but I better make the effort...we need a couple of fans to show up even if the players don't! Hoping for a competitive effort as we'd need an absolute miracle to win...

May better work out considering we could have got the outside mid we so desperately need at pick 6...I have my doubts haven't seen enough of Gold Coast to know if hes any good. Hasn't won a Suns b&f though let alone made the AA side.

So many issues, our main strength contested ball isn’t even working for us anymore and enough said about lack of run and spread. Might be worth doing a Port and trading some players to get some quick kids in

No idea what we're going to produce at the moment, we will certainly win if we play our best footy for the whole match BUT - have only played about 3 good quarters so far this season....

Viney seems to be gradually getting fitter with each match (his second half was ok against Sydney) so we'd be mad to rest him now.

Hard to judge St Kilda on that Hawthorn went in without a single contested ball midfielder and lost both their key defenders during the match.

If we can’t beat St Kilda just because they have some fast runners we might as well give up now.

Yep we all thought it, unless he really wasn't fit that was a baffling selection decision to leave him out and let Max get hammered.

Is Pruess a certainty to be ok? Looked a bit winged with that shoulder, all of a sudden he is a very important part of our structure
