Here are Oliver's TAC CUP highlights.
-
I really like Oliver. He is going to be our Paddy Cripps or Ollie Wines but he'll kick alot more goals. Looking at some vision of him, he is pretty similar to Brayshaw. He is quick, good overhead, can break tackles and burst away from stopages. He probably kicks more goals than Brayshaw, but Brayshaw has better kicking and class, even though Oliver's kicking is not to bad as well. Parish I still think is going to be a good player. But as you have seen more recently in the modern day, no matter how they perform in juniors, Big bodied, powerful midfielders always are better AFL players than slight, small, but skillful and classy midfielders. Look at Cripps, Wines, Bontempelli they are big bodied mids who have started their careers well and will have great success in the future. Now look at Toumpas, Mayes, Troy Menzel and Sumner who were all very highly rated as juniors, but have failed to make any impact so far at AFL level, compared to the other 3 guys I mentioned

2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
DemonLad5 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think they will go at 4 Parish/Oliver (Whichever we pass on) and at 5 Curnow/Weideman (NFI which one they take). GC take Francis and we get the tall that Essendon passed on -
2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

I think we really need to take a KPF at 7 considering we don't have a first rounder next year, we may not get a look at another one for a while -
Essendon really like him as do we and will take him at 4 or 5 if available
-
I don't mind who we take at 3 as long as it is out of Parish or Oliver. At 7 we need a key forward, would love to have the luxury of being able to pick 1 of the top 3 key forwards in the draft aside from Schache. I don't think Curnow slips that far, same goes for Matheison
-
These poor kids that get drafted early, so much expectation. Someone drafted in the 50s or 60s might have the same ability has Parish. If he doesn't make it, then nobody really cares, at least he had a go, nobody was expecting anything anyway. If Parish turned out to be average he would be swarmed with critic media, haters and a reputation for being a draft bust

2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

I think we should definitely take Oliver. If you look at his highlights on the Draft Machine, he is more powerful, clever, better kick and better around goals than Parish -
Did you mean Weideman at 10
-
Gee he looks a powerful unit. Good contested grab. I would take him if he is available at 46
-
I'm pretty sure it's out of Parish and Oliver. The club has the choice, so we know they'll get the better player

I'll admit his highlights look great, but why has he not been able to produce like this before the 2nd half of this year? -

Oliver is a bull and bangs it long, like Andrew Moore and Ed Curnow Parish is classy and an inside-outside threat like Gaff, a young Ben Cousins, a young Garry Ablett Jnr, Kieran Jack and Robbie Gray -

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
DemonLad5 replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Oliver looks good playing for Murray but I just think its bloody risky to pick a bloke in the top 3 who didnt get selected to play championships -
Oliver to Essendon
-
Brett Anderson must be feeling sour right now.
-
Given Demon Jack and myself posted a pick 3 poll at the same time, I wanted to know who everyone wanted at 7. Being realistic. Aside from my obsession with him, I have Parish at 3 based on the poll results Excluding academy picks #1 Jacob Weitering - Carlton #2 Josh Schache - Brisbane #3 Darcy Parish - Melbourne #4 Sam Weideman - Essendon #5 Clayton Oliver - Essendon #6 Aaron Francis - Gold Coast It was either Francis or Milera at 6 for GC and as much as i'd like Francis, I see him as a better player and we can only assume they will go best available Curnow's recent antics have pushed him outside the top 6

http://www.theroar.com.au/2015/11/18/a-complete-mock-afl-draft-from-pick-1-to-112/ What does everyone think of this Mock? I like it. Has us taking Parish and Francis. But passing on Oliver. Which is questionable
