  1. A couple of Jamesons into the evening, I admit, but here I am, LOL-ing entirely to myself. Thank you, good Sir! And dear old 'Acme', mysterious 'Amazon' of my childhood (which, by the way, was in Warner Brothers 1.0, not the later Sophie Monk reboot!)
  2. Cue diversion of thread to Monty Python references now. Endless Fun! (p.s. Respect to the late 'Lander)
  3. I say, I say, I say, I did, good Sir. See my avatar (Slap! 'Nah!')
  4. This is starting to rival that, content-wise. Fun!
  5. The infinity of the internet delivers again: on a slow Sunday (though I am just about to head off to my own very, very modest band practice...) I've just checked MR's 2001 very-much-world tour schedule. Impressive, Mel! And supports my earlier DL 'rich tapestry' observation 😀
  6. Reckon yours was a good get; you must have been quick(*)? Like the owner of the DEES21 numberplates. (*Some time during the last quarter?)
  7. Couldn't have been the first (though 'skuit' did become 'skort'...); the word 'fashion' gave it away.
  8. Femole bosketboller?
  9. The infinity of the internet never ceases to gobsmack me - a search for 'pistachio mondegreen' delivered me instant confirmation of your guess, @WalkingCivilWar. And guess further what! The site was called 'amIright'! (#WCWcatchphrases)
  10. The @skuit is dead (author of his own demise). Long live the @skort!
  11. Shout out to those who named themselves for the 57-year zeitgeist and finally took wing, and a name extension, on 25 September 2021 - @Longsufferingnomore for one. Any more?
  12. Most definitely! 😊
  13. It's possibly true of many, if not most, here, but it's particularly true in this case: you are a rich tapestry, @WalkingCivilWar 😊
  14. Been rifling through this thread, trying to take stock. I see we've got up to page 303 (we'd be shooting through the cartridges if this were printed out for a magazine!) So, time to look down the barrel (we seem to be in a spiral here anyway) of giving it the bullet? I've already seen myself out. And it's sunny at last, btw...
  15. I'm confident most, if not all, posters herein call in again from time to time, so, to you all, thank you for the laughs. And, I am building up the confidence to join in...
  16. Have I missed discussion of his injury/ies (by his own statement in August, he was in the last week or so before return from a PCL then sustained 'a fracture in my ankle'), or the Club's view of, and due diligence about, these, or any learned 'Land opinions on same?
  17. Time for another look at the Harry Boyd thread?
  18. From the horse's (stallion's?) mouth in August(?): He was a couple of weeks away from returning from a PCL when he sustained a 'fracture in my ankle' ending his season, including finals which at that time were not a certainty.
  19. 'Land, a 'licking lips' emoji, please?
  20. 👏 To you, too, @Whispering_Jack, for the precision thread title change.
  21. Do I react or quote? Latter 'worth a try'
  22. Has anyone in the media asked anyone in the Club whether they knew he met with Dockers (and Eagles) during the bye? All the language from, and (apparent) considerate treatment of Jackson by, the Club since then suggests they might not have? That would be surprising, though, in these days of 'spies everywhere'...
