Jeremy Cameron became a neighbour of my (Dee-tragic, so now-revolted) sister. Exposed to this personal story, I diss Geelong on this subject with the best of them. However, it's drawing a long bow calling these properties farms, and the wealthy, Geelong-ish squattocracy 'farm' connotes. They are properties that come in the cost range that I reckon most established and/or high profile players' properties are in, and, like them, provide 'only' residence, albeit with the more land that a regional precinct like greater Geelong can offer, at lesser cost-per-area than Melbourne, and even the Peninsula, can. And, yes, the 'acreage' lifestyle and the coast can be attractions, but these aren't under-the-table-engineered by GFC. And I still hate Geelong. Quite a bit, actually.
