  1. Perhaps if they were being looked for. There's the rub: the AFL looking...
  2. ...belonging to Australian working border collies or kelpies, of course.
  3. Yes, I guess it is Geelong! G for Geelong, G for God. I probably should recognise MFC's similar omnipotence - through its City of Casey alter ego - in auspicing the neighbouring Bass Coast Shire in its creation of the lifestyle and coast where I live...
  4. Done: https://pronto-uomo.com/ 😁
  5. Jeremy Cameron became a neighbour of my (Dee-tragic, so now-revolted) sister. Exposed to this personal story, I diss Geelong on this subject with the best of them. However, it's drawing a long bow calling these properties farms, and the wealthy, Geelong-ish squattocracy 'farm' connotes. They are properties that come in the cost range that I reckon most established and/or high profile players' properties are in, and, like them, provide 'only' residence, albeit with the more land that a regional precinct like greater Geelong can offer, at lesser cost-per-area than Melbourne, and even the Peninsula, can. And, yes, the 'acreage' lifestyle and the coast can be attractions, but these aren't under-the-table-engineered by GFC. And I still hate Geelong. Quite a bit, actually.
  6. Amicably, and the company still operating, I trust?
  7. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1711264/melbourne-welcomes-ma-services-group Yes, welcome! I wonder, though, what happened to our previous facilities services sponsor, managed by a former player (who escapes me for the moment...)?
  8. Forgive me, all, as I briefly hijack this thread. It is one of the furthest of the current 'Recent Topics', on the front page of 'Land, from footy news and talk as @Demonland has rightly advised me is what we all most often come here for. I just wanted to let interested 'Landers (if any?!) know I've started a thread in the 'General Discussion' forum, away from disrupting footy discourse here, called 'CONUNDRUM CORNER'. It's for puzzles that will continue the occasional series started and so thoroughly maintained by @Demonstone these last 4 years, with a little bit of help from his friends. You won't see when there are recent posts there, so, creators and solvers, head on over there occasionally to see what's going down/up/around. We now return to normal transmission...
  9. I want him to stay, and I reckon he does, for all the reasons put for that herein. Another take on the trade value, however: In the Bolton trade, Freo got player and 1161 draft points. Richmond got 3709-1161=2548 draft points. As a single pick, that's somewhere between 2nd and 3rd pick in the draft. As two picks in the first round it is, for example, 8th and 18th picks or 12th and 13th picks.
  10. The Herculean @Demonstone has provided us with, by my count, 47 maddening conundrums over the last 4-odd (very odd?!) years. Moreover, in those 47, he's managed to alliterative entitle them with 19 of the 26 letters of the alphabet. I open this thread in honour of Mr Stone and: 1. Challenge him to raise his bat for a historic half-century; and 2. Challenge us to complete the alliterative set. G, H, R, U, V, W and X appear to remain. I reserve X (gulp) for myself!
  11. North buttered up the next week, with Sydney, to kick a combined 32.18 (210) in the first half - the only aggregate of 200 points for a half in VFL/AFL history. Re @Sir Why You Little's observation, the premature injury loss of Owen did have the (eventual!) compensation of Jako - though another premature loss there followed... I've got mixed feelings about goal celebrations. I do like the 'get-around-him/her' aspect. Re past 'celebrations', a special oldie is Neil Crompton's run back to the backline in '64. It looked like he didn't quite know what to do (lack of practice?😉)
  12. Was anyone at this? Supplementary question: Did Darren Cuthbertson, Luke Beveridge and Rod Owen share an ancestor? And three cheers for the early '90s, haircut-wise.
  13. ...not worn on game days, so all good then!
  14. Did he take it? (Touch of the head drops, too...) It's all grist, though, for his improvement mill.
  15. Koalas regularly appear in my manna gums. He/she/they are generically called Kenny. However, they may now need to be called Luci?!
  16. ...and my 'Thanks' emoji was ironic 😉
  17. What, 'football related', could possibly distinguish St Kilda one-gamer, Chris Hemley?! Certainly not a stat! 😄
  18. Could Neale somehow get to see all your words (which I share; thank you for finding them)?
  19. ...who used to look a bit like 'you' Ethan? Could be him, but a bit of weight and facial hair loss has been achieved:
  20. Just noticed, RBF: when Ryleigh and Megan play in our next premiership, you're going to have to re-format!
