Mate the VFL is so far inferior to the AFL. If you changed the 11 injured players for VFL players we would have been beaten by 10 goals.

He is only 22 years old, of course he’ll improve and if you think Chandler and or Bedford are better players than you are kidding yourself. That’s called depth with the good VFL players you are talking about. As for the kids you neglected to mention JVR, Howes, Woewodin and Moniz who all showed a bit this year. The kids you mention all have flaws that’s why they play VFL to develop and iron out their flaws. I’m not sure what uiu expect a list to look like but no team in the AFL has 40 players of quality who are all ready to play AFL.

We have lots of competition for our bottom 6, the VFL just won the flag after a nearly faultless season. We don’t want for much other then another forward or 2.

Every recruit is a risk, signing players for 7 or 8 years is a risk. You don’t get opportunities to sign stars of the comp on a reduced rate whilst in the window. Grundy is a beast and will make us a better side
