A newbie trying to throw their weight around. Cute.

The more I read Demonland the more I understand why people vote for the Greens and Clive Palmer.

GAMEDAY: Rd 06 vs Richmond
I'll be shocked if McDonald 'doesn't play back and it wouldn't surprise me to see Lockhart there. There are so many things wrong it's really only worth concentrating on a two or three. 1. Our DNA, brand, or whatever other nonsense term you want to use. Start winning and being brutal around the contest again. Everything stems from our one wood. 2. Better structures behind the ball. 3. Forward 50 entry. It won't solve all our issues, but we'll start playing better once we rediscover our contest work. Everything stems from point 1.

Who cares ? He's an ex employee.

Post Game: Rd 5 v St. Kilda
The reason Gawn dropped that mark was he took his eyes off the ball because there was a St Kilda player coming the other way. He really is down on confidence at the moment. Why did Brayshaw and Salem spend the first 7 minutes on the bench to start the third quarter ? As some would know, I'm a Goody fan, but would a Clarkson coached team ever be so disorganised behind the ball and so easy to play against ? I think we both know the answer to that one. Our team defence is terrible.

I get you disagree about Goody, so no need to respond. I don't want a table tennis match. Derp

We have far more issues than pace. Teams always look slow when they're confused and don't know when to run or where to run.

Post Game: Rd 5 v St. Kilda
Goody's smart and will work it out. But 2019 won't deliver what we crave. I get you disagree about Goody, so no need to respond. I don't want a table tennis match.

Yep. I love Goody, but they've learnt nothing over summer. At least he won't be telling us that we want to be a humble football club, which I've heard ad nauseum. I wish we had something to be humble about. We're all used to this feeling. It's not like it's anything new for a Melbourne supporter. You'll all survive. 2019 is over. Alas, I'm still bullish about the future.

That too.

But I'd rather you wallow in misery ?

It's clearly system based. We're poorly organised. Players and coaches out of form.

GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs St Kilda
You get what you deserve in football and if we can't knock off the mediocre Saints we don't deserve to be finalists. Last week St.Kilda fell over the line against Hawthorn by less than a goal. This was a Hawthorn who had no Shiel, no O'Meara, no Burgoyne, no Mitchell AND lost Frawley before half-time and Stratton in the third quarter, so their rotations were stuffed and their personnel decimated.

Time to show Oscar some respect!
Who'd he lose it to ? ?
-
Who will the Demons target next?
I'd usually agree, but Hawthorn is a different beast. Opposition clubs and players would have been in awe of Clarkson and Hawthorn for a decade. If your best mate is O'Meara and you know Mitchell is returning in 2020 and you've seen them land your former colleague in Scully, as well as Wingard, then it adds up to an attractive proposition. If it were me I'd be wanting to go to them ahead of every other Victorian club.

Sam Weideman + contract
His contract will get sorted. It's not worth being up in arms about nothing. The club will pay him what he's worth and he'll accept. He'll also become a very good player. Clearly a 20 odd game key tall forward isn't playing his best footy at 21. And he wasn't at Casey when he was a teenager. I'm glad he's now getting continuum in the seniors. It will only help him develop.

Worried
Are you new to football ? If so, I understand why you'd point that out. You must also think Gold Coast are the bomb. ?

Worried
St Kilda are hopeless. If they win so be it. It just shows where we're at in this particular season. Only a flag interests me. I couldn't give a continental about making up the numbers. If our preseason surgeries and interruptions (that we supposedly never had) mean we're cooked in 2019 it is what it is. St Kilda are still [censored] win or lose.

What to do with Petracca?
He was tough and clean. He didn't fumble like he has been. And he made really good decisions. One of his best games. Btw, how he didn't get a free kick for front on contact against Allir I'll never know.

The Wagners
This is the only thread I've read since the game finished. It's more that you have to say the same thing ad nauseum. It's tedious.
-
The Wagners
You're a funny bloke. You carry on about Hore, repeatedly denigrating him as though you think people need to be told something 20 times, because once won't do, and you now lord the Wagners, who are average depth players at best.

Israel Folau
It appears Rugby Australia is planning on ripping up Folau's contract over his bigoted remarks concerning homosexuality, among other things Most Australians won't agree with his views, including me, but he should be able to express his religious beliefs in a free democratic society. Unfortunately, Australia doesn't really have ''free speech''. It's very restricted. The USA, through its constitution, has much more free speech than this country. If he is sacked it's a disgrace.

Box Hill Hawks v Casey Demons - VFL Round 1
Like you I didn't watch the game, so came onto the thread for information. It was the biggest mistake I made on the weekend.
