  1. Which is correct and been proven over the past few years with our new management, however if they can play and show they can handle the rigours of playing against/with seasoned bodies, let them just roster in 2-3 breaks during the season, paired with the split round to monitor this. Although Hogan played at Casey, people need to remember that he was too young by the laws (17) to play. We had no choice although nobody doubts it had a massive upside as seen with his 2015 season. Brayshaw was the next (future star) and he picked himself. I think only with recent injury Christian Petracca might start at Casey however I'll put $ where my mouth and back him in to produce in the seniors very quivkly. We've been crying out for a stable environment to teach our players and change the old fabric of the club. We are now doing this but if they turn it on from day one, let them, just manage the situation
  2. Apologies to monocular who quickly hit the nail on the head. Absolutely correct
  3. Sorry I meant last half year of underage where he matured more. Nobody could push him off the ball because of his bodyshape. Kicks low and hard with purpose so dont be surprised with 40m stab delivery to any leading forward. The advantage though is he has the smarts to set up play ahead of time. Only needs muscle to replace though could play rd1 if pulls a Brayshaw as he has body mass to handle against men, just dont know if strong enough to compete with.?
  4. A massive congrats first to anyone who's contributions and content, however small.. are always appreciated in this camp as live interstate. I was reading Demonland for 2yrs previous before joining but anyway my long point is it can be quite funny watching/reading ppls perception or attitude when contradiction over time when we should just be thankful and thank god Roos coached us in the first place (smirk) Serious note though as this only place I get info on my team besides papers some of the mods should scroll some past, old posts for any current topic and to watch the transformation and overhaul of this footy club was/is still amazing... to see how bad and mismanagement to now be cheeky enough to look a gift horse (roos) in the mouth and denounce his future service or last year...Our attitude has changed significantly...:)
  5. Thread gone a bit cringe worthy while reading so lets make it very clear... Oliver will be a gun and incomparable to any past or present player. Look simply at not just what he achieved in last 12 mths but how he achieved it completely modest and level headed. Spent this summer disciplined, trained, earnt massive raps, lost excess weight and now only needs muscle. Im as guilty as the next for highlight reels but his underage footage is extraordinary by way of influence/complete domination. We have some serious talent on our list atm however apart from the second coming (HOGAN), its Oliver who will bring the Brownlow by simply dominating games by foot and having rare commodity of being ahead with decision making. Super talent and apologies to Clayton for any added pressure as only a kid....but
  6. Kent, though the as the cliche goes "big preseason" plus the damage he could do with his left foot....no ceiling for a player like this. "Footballers" footballer
  7. We have a CHF... Petrecca was a key forward under18s and if anyone can remember he had the drive(as a teenager!) to drop a big amount of kg just to play midfield. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm struggling to think of anyone off top of head who did similar...with ease. Anyway the ball movement is moved on quick now so all we need are midfielders and more midfielders. Petrecca is strong enough and explosive enough to play here and if he doesn't need to or have the option to use that cannon of a leg he has choice of kenty coming through on one side or midfielder on other. We also set in forward 50 but the surprise will be if not traded is watts in the pocket with the confidence in the world as big jesse will hand out the justice if needed that's if hes not commanding 2 opp.defenders. We have a full spine of players that can play entire career together so i think target mids because as of next year i betcha my left nu..ckle we will be a destination club and for me id be now targeting KEY DEFENDERS. Everyone has looked a fool backing this club to the hilt but the reality is now...we almost there
  8. Yes I get that but do u truly understand the magnitude of past problems remember how bad we were , yes he on 6 figure salary and well paid but to me and prob most supporters what he has done is truly remarkable infact words dont even cum close to explain where he has pointed us
  9. Personally id like to organize sum kind of donation fund to put to use as a big thank you to PJ as he almost single handed took club by the scruff of neck and completely changed the future if thus mighty fine club Off topic but suggestions?
  10. No need for bold predictions angry this almost fact I can see it everyone is finally on the same page at club look at the system roos/pj have in place we are going up it will be swift and catch quite a few off guard
  11. I told u , I dont mean to harp on the same postings that I wrote I just feel like I can c what is about to happen it that obvious . Im not exaggerating but if this is a rebuild were... big call... ABOUT TO BE REBORN AS A LEGITIMATE AFL POWER HOUSE
  12. The turning point will happen when they post 3 wins in a row, honestly the list is dare I say top8 it isnt bad they love roos , look how many turned out for pre season. They want it ,a terrific system has been done from ground up they just need to learn belief, winning then after everything there been through I believe theyll get ruthless , esp with roos cracking the whip(by all reports thd players are driving this)
  13. Il happily put my left one on it. Seriously blind freddy can see what is about to happen here, id love a quick furn around like port im bloody impatient and they destroyed 8 years of my only enjoyment but peter and all involved had a system in place as no quickie would work so a step by step plan was put in place and followed to the T. We are named after a capital city we will soon cast Collingwood to the shadows and our supporters will come out of woodwork similar to Richmond And more importantly we have something in a coach that sadly gets overlooked and should be non negotiable when appointing coaches "The players love him and WANT to play for him"
  14. (Wrong button bloody smart phone) "THE GIANT HAS AWAKENED" Even myself I dont think I understood how bad shape the club was in. The appointment of Jackson was a godsend, then came Roos, players started to respond but unfortunately ran out of gas, introduction of quality kids but left to develop!!! (Finally). We were so poorly run b4 that there was no quick fix/turn around similar to port, so methodically step by step the whole club needed reprogramming and il name him again PETER JACKSON,U are the master. This is it guys its actually happening the bear has been poked, get ready BIG crowds at MCG . No more false dawns the club has arrived " THE GIANT HAS AWAKENED"
  15. Hi everyone quick thanx to all members as I enjoy catching up on daily news (finally signed up). I know all to well about disappointment/demon supporter. The last 8 years have almost ruined my love and passion for the club and i'll happily admit every year I tell anyone who'd listen , demons going places/lookout big year/finals coming/such&such is gun, im as guilty as any true believer. But something is happening here and im afraid that after 8 long years il qoute Simon Goodwin
