Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
I haven' read too many replies, kind of rushed in when seen topic. We are in a position of luxury now and can draft for need/want/flavour of the month. Definitely don' require another key forward (would never say no) and my reasoning is the way we play, very quickly, everyone gets in on the act which prob explains why for the love of god I haven't had a meltdown over the trading of quite simply a gun forward who hasn't quite hit his straps. Differet Demons now...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Battled multiple concussion issues which are now over. Very good disposal and as much as I hate comparing players was similar to Grant Burchall. Very good pick up

King: Oliver can be Dee's Dusty
9 brownlow votes i think mate and Guerra broke Cams collarbone
- Last chance for Kennedy-Harris?

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
I'm fairly embarrassed reading half the negative shite describing Jordan. Yes he will get out sprinted, the point should be made that he shouldn't have been isolated or put in that position if the mids and forwards were putting on pressure tackling etc. He isn' Lewis circa 2008 but he aint done yet. Stop making him the scapegoat FFS !

Our workrate
There spot on but. It isn' the backs that allow the ball to come through. U would think this would be easy for the players to fix i.e goodwin has them playing a style that scores heavily, enjoyable to play however the only rule is gotta run and defend. I' sure there are worse gameplans or coaches out there so goody can't all that bad to play under if u think bout it. Another funny thing is yes we are on a losing streak but guess who is the highest scoring team atm haha. For everyone pulling there hair out, me included with these wasted entries into the forward line I don' think anything will change atm. It looks sooooo wasted but look at our scores??? I don' like it especially with the players at our disposal however if we can get our pressure back up with 2 way running most problems will be forgotten. Nobody needs to stress, it' purely player laziness, drinking own bathwater. Once they choke they'll wake up. Remember when we are on we actually bully the competition

Its "Click bait" people!

Delistings
That's wat i meant, these 3 can play

Delistings
Disagree. These 3 can actually play. Without being disrespectful towards the players it's bleedingly obvious the list has improved tenfold.

Delistings
I think a lot of people will be surprised with trades/delisting this year. I wouldn't be surprised with Grimes - Most likely traded if possible (out of respect) or Delisted. Terlich - Delisted Michie - Delisted Dawes - 1 yr deal (as emergency) with deal in place with emphasis on coaching. Pedersen - 1 or 2 yr deal Anb - Cant believe ppl talk about trading this little gem. I personally think he is not playing in his preferred position that suits his attributes. Nobody can deny he cant get the footy. 25-30 touches each vfl game which to me says he can get it, knows where to hunt it so he should be forward pocket which for all we know he will be as the coaching instructions have been to play him midfield to fir certain reasons unknown to us. Will not be traded. Newton - Can play but odds on to be delisted or traded Matt Jones - Traded or delisted King - deliste Dunn/Garland - 1 will be traded * almost back to a normal footy club where its obvious 4 each year get turfed. Note though we also have 2 decent players in b category in maynard and Smith most have forgotten we have which is like 2 extra picks next year Thoughts?

The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
Talk about paranoia lol.... Lets just deal with a bit of common sense, firstly.. Footywriters like Crackers and Langdon unfortunate to themselves just arn't relevant anymore as they've had their time in the sun. They make/say these comments only to be noticed. They make up headlines(its their job unfortunately) with the knowledge its impossible to be called out on B.S. I honestly believe there's no story here as he's been instructed to just play footy and enjoy. Remember, this is a completely different club now , massive list turnover, drafted astutely with bucket loads of talent and very good trading. We are an Elite club now and Jesse will be or come close to being AFL highest paid player when resigns with the Dees.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Beat me by that much....Seriously, think of a 6 ft+ bollocking midfielder/ halfback comes to mind when Oliver fills out which. I refuse to compare him with anyone in particular as I'm hoping (only atm) he'll be better. As with great teams you need great players as history shows and with us we've gone pretty hard at a certain brackets of players over the last 3/4 years, combined with the handful of best performed players. The bonus is and cant work out for the life of me why the media arn't all over us or at least acknowledge us? Not even the "potential"? Only slowly are clubs(and not that many!) have talked up Hogan which I thought strange. As much as I want success straight away in 18mths-2years I reckon we'll be able to say as a complete, one of the best lists going around. Salem, Viney, Tyson, Brayshaw, Petracca, Hogan, Kent, Oliver, Weideman.. Iv probably forgotten a few but basically the list of the "Potential A-Graders" for the club that Iv just mentioned are only the newcomers. Serious talent on the list even after the bungled years of watshisname doing the drafting

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Exactly. ..Peripheral vision, quick thinking which not only changes but inturn he dominates passages of play. Footage, footage, footage. ..its there for everyone to see and dissect. 110% conclusive and sold on 2015 #4.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
How can you not believe the hype with all the provided footage. Not having a dip at ur opinion however i think its pretty conclusive. In most clips they're not highlight which are Marks, Goals, Biffs and Brawlers etc but instead huge parts of the game which dominate play. Yes he outmuscled underage players but HE HAS THE BODY TO COMPETE AGAINST MEN when able to step up. Most footage shows he ahead of play by the actions either he or his teammates take ie not just a handball but handballs to advantage. Only My opinion but i cant see anything else except....Star?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Long.....Long way mate Very....long way mate. Apart from last year(Hogan lol) its been close to 8 odd years since I've looked forward and got excited about the weekend game. How good does it feel to actually debate spots in our side or park future stars in the twos till ready. The funny thing is this is the norm for successful clubs...and fortunately US. Apologies to mods for going off subject

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Which is correct and been proven over the past few years with our new management, however if they can play and show they can handle the rigours of playing against/with seasoned bodies, let them just roster in 2-3 breaks during the season, paired with the split round to monitor this. Although Hogan played at Casey, people need to remember that he was too young by the laws (17) to play. We had no choice although nobody doubts it had a massive upside as seen with his 2015 season. Brayshaw was the next (future star) and he picked himself. I think only with recent injury Christian Petracca might start at Casey however I'll put $ where my mouth and back him in to produce in the seniors very quivkly. We've been crying out for a stable environment to teach our players and change the old fabric of the club. We are now doing this but if they turn it on from day one, let them, just manage the situation

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Sorry I meant last half year of underage where he matured more. Nobody could push him off the ball because of his bodyshape. Kicks low and hard with purpose so dont be surprised with 40m stab delivery to any leading forward. The advantage though is he has the smarts to set up play ahead of time. Only needs muscle to replace though could play rd1 if pulls a Brayshaw as he has body mass to handle against men, just dont know if strong enough to compete with.?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Thread gone a bit cringe worthy while reading so lets make it very clear... Oliver will be a gun and incomparable to any past or present player. Look simply at not just what he achieved in last 12 mths but how he achieved it completely modest and level headed. Spent this summer disciplined, trained, earnt massive raps, lost excess weight and now only needs muscle. Im as guilty as the next for highlight reels but his underage footage is extraordinary by way of influence/complete domination. We have some serious talent on our list atm however apart from the second coming (HOGAN), its Oliver who will bring the Brownlow by simply dominating games by foot and having rare commodity of being ahead with decision making. Super talent and apologies to Clayton for any added pressure as only a kid....but
