  1. I think this was what all the mirth was about the couple of times he had to dash off I am still amazed that his was the only "fitness' issue today, apart from Petracca, Trengove and possibly Hunt (although he did a bit of training today) and ANB, the rest of the squad is fit and ready to go
  2. Hopefully I am going to take the train down to Cranbourne again tomorrow and then the trusty scoot to Casey Fields, will put a report on later tomorrow night if the expedition is successful I find it more interesting that they are giving Spencer and Pedersen a rest this week, are they under consideration for Rd 1 or just cover?
  3. It was Howie who said to me he will be 'super sub', that being said, he was really good today, you wouldn't guess he was out for 9 weeks, covered 11km according to the GPS, he asked and then told me, he had one bit were his bib was grabbed and he propped on one leg and then spun, I closed my eyes but he came out ok. Best bit I liked was he stopped to have a chat to a couple of us, and then sprinted off at full speed to catch up to some other players, think a bit of show for any staff watching
  4. Well he told me he was, Nev Jetta said it was to make up for the Bulldogs game where he came off early, so obviously they want him primed for Rd 1 if needed
  5. This is why we are seeing the 'willing' at training, Roos wants it converted to match day, as well as the kicking skills, so he doesn't mind seeing it at trainning Always have a good chat to Nev Jetta, they have been told in no uncertain terms Friday was unacceptable and hence this week the focus is on where they fell down in that game
  6. I asked him, this is what they do with the young guys now who are off legs, gives them the opportunity to build up the core, looking forward to seeing what they have done to Petracca in his first month or so
  7. Not specifically today, everybody was involved in stoppage work
  8. Sorry was being polite, he had the shits, something he ate
  9. That's ok chap, like to provide the service for those who can never get there, just remembered another bit, as GRRM and I said some of the tackling and drills were willing, believe it or not there was a dust up between Gawn and Garland, nothing major. There seemed to be a movement to flatten the captain a couple of times as well, both Harmes and Cross put him on the ground, have the pics on Twitter (Not reading a lot of posters now, makes it easier)
  10. Just thought of a conversation I had with another watcher, Brendan McCartney was excellent again today, was just wandering all over the ground, a word here, a gesture there, praising, constructively criticising....reckon if the combo stays together Goodwin/McCartney will be one to watch Gee my memory is going, one particular bit concerning what a lot of us have been saying was telling Max Gawn to use his size.
  11. When they did the full length, half back
  12. Also forgot, don't think Harmes is playing tomorrow either Forgot another bit, poor old Chris Salem had a bit of gastro, had to rush off on the golf cart a couple of times, laughed about it at the end, managed to complete most of the session, despite it
  13. If anyone is tech savvy enough, have put a pic of Sam Frost's natural leap when he is practicing the ruckwork on my Twitter, if they could put it in this topic for those not on Twitter
  14. I asked him if he was playing and he said yes, Nev Jetta also confirmed it, a bit strange, he sat out with all the others who confirmed they would be playing.
  15. Forgot to mention, Six was there, so should have some top photos in a day or two
  16. No shows Petracca and Trengove, everybody else out there at some stage. ANB did some of the session in the bright orange 'don't tackle' vest, looked happy to be out there, about another week or two, hoping to get a run with Casey for Rd 1, was moving freely, really appreciative of the care the fitness and medical staff have shown in his rehab. Casey praccy game may be worth going to watch with Vince, Kent, Brayshaw, JKH, Riley, McKenzie, Fitzpatrick, Vandenberg and King all playing. Looks like Spencer, Stretch, Pedersen, Terlich, White and Hunt won't be playing. Howie won't play either but he did the full session, and covered 11km, pulled up really well, hoping to be "super sub" next week, his words. Most of the drills today stoppage work or ball movement, did drills in four quarters, like a game, last drill involved about 30 players crammed into the 50 and one team trying to get it out. One highlight of a full length drill was Spencer getting a handball in close in the 50, selling some candy and hammering it into the goal, got a cheer. Some of it got quite willing, Chunk Jones ended up with a pair of crotchless skins. Will be putting some pics on Twitter. Again any questions feel free.
  17. No didn't meltdown old chap, just McQueen with his usual standard of input to a topic Didn't think Jack would reply but worth a try, good to see it in the injury report, hopefully he can now look forward Antics, Nash I am shocked, I take every poster seriously on here.....believe me........ Contrary to popular belief, some have replied, but they send me direct messages I have also posted replies from Burgo and a couple of other admin staff Stopped reading your posts but thought I would answer this one
  18. No need to apologise Nasher, you are the moderator, I have no problem with you deleting mine, it will be popular among the more strident on here who I was just trying to reply to, who hope that the more noise they make will make whatever the noise is about true, at least Dazzle liked it Howe, Vince and some of the training staff were there from about 12:30 pm, some kids enjoyed the chance to run laps with Howie and Bernie There were approximately 300 people in attendance at the beginning, (media estimate not mine) this thinned a bit due to the later start, but only by a few A lot of parents and kids who stayed for the later start took the opportunity to have a kick to kick on the paddock It was decided that with the attendance of staff at Berwick Fair and the Chinese New Year, it wasn't worth the $1000 to set up a membership tent on the day, as the numbers who would attend would only be small in comparison to the 2 other events. A permit also has to be obtained The Demon Army also provided a sausage sizzle and coffee, not the club, which was well patronised A couple of posters on here complained to the club, and one in particular received what was stated in the first post in this topic, which I think was good of the club
  19. OD and Song, only issue I have with Kent, uses his right leg to stand on only, reckon if he can get fit and firing could be the breakout this year, just needs a run without injury
  20. Perhaps he and club thought a fresh start at another club was the best thing for him, he went for the medical, so he must have been willing to go, rather than being offloaded as you say, I have spoken to him previously about his, and is quite comfortable with the whole scenario. Main thing now is to get fit and see what happens, will try and speak to him tomorrow if he appears in the fresh air, hasn't tweeted, could have been advised not to and let Misson in his injury report update officially
  21. They are not excuses, they are facts, strange phenomenon on Demonland I know Why are we derailing the thread, this has been a discussion between myself and Wiseblood, that's covered AFL skill sets, other players, coaches opinions all based on the fact that Fitzy trained with the defence on Monday, if he does it again on Friday, I will report it again, I have actually enjoyed the debate because Wiseblood has actually made the effort to justity his opinion, a lesson some could learn on here
  22. Thought stats were worthless on this forum? Over his career of 19 games at AFL level without a consistent run, 3 games here, a couple of games there, so what do you expect This is Jack's final year of his contract, personally I think he has the attributes to be a good AFL player, they are trying to do something different, will he make it, I hope so, but it is not my decision We all know what will happen if his season is not up to standard
  23. I've just asked him for an update on Twitter, see if he answers , if not if I see him on Friday will ask him then
  24. So just over one contested mark a game, wow flying into packs and tussling one on one every 30 seconds in a game then Anyway we are now talking about a non MFC player, breaking my rule
  25. I am glad you included Hawkins, now there is a player who was derided for a few years for not using his physicality despite his size, interesting how opinion changes isn't it
