  1. I spoke to him the other day, he is very optimistic about returning, needs to get through next surgeon's meeting and then he can take a 'step' forward again, still got a career to look forward to if the foot behaves
  2. Don't know chap, haven't been there for a while, before my time, we are too close to drop zone at the moment for mine, sad Frawley is gone, Spurs supporter, could have rubbed it in on Wednesday as well As far as I know Salem doesn't even watch the footy during the season, only interested in the soccer, think he only got into footy coz it was main sport played at schools he went to
  3. I thought we had already covered this, from coaches and players who I have actually spoken to, Roos understood why players took the foot of the gas in 3rd quarter, was not impressed at all with how far we took it off in 4th quarter and made his feelings known, along with other coaches and some of the senior players That game is gone, let's now see how we go against Essendon and whether the words have been listened to
  4. As long as it is that I agree, but for it to be that, it has to be based on fact not conjecture
  5. I agree, some of the signings lay a good framework for a promising future, but we are still a way off, this year will show us how many steps we have taken both on and off the field
  6. You seem to have hit the bottle a bit early today Biff, fine form though
  7. No chap, I stirred him about the exit at training, I support Everton, he offered to buy me a Championship season ticket for next year (look it up, it means we would be releagated from top league) First thing he did at Family Day when he saw me was to show me Manchester City's weekend result on his phone, loves his soccer
  8. Frost's kicking is ok, think like a lot of 'defenders' prefers it on the run
  9. Just out of interest for those the decry the lack of a Membership presence at certain places, the majority of the staff in Membership are just about to hit their 14th straight day in work
  10. Didn't realise you were in our wonderful Nations Capital, lived there for 20 years, have a daughter at Wright and one at Yass, is a bit of a hike to Casey, considering whether to go myself, if I do may do a report, depends on what other half is doing, want to see Brayshaw in action myself
  11. Salem should be at half back, that is where he trained today, except towards the end of the session, he joined a few of the midfielders for a drill welcomed with "I thought you were the star half back now", from Nathan Jones
  12. Never in doubt, very popular member of the squad as well, really happy, only sad thing is him being Arsenal supporter, looked absolutely shattered this morning at training, after their exit from Europe, had a lot of sympathy for him, NOT
  13. If you have nothing to do Saturday arvo, you should be able to see him and Brayshaw at Casey from 12.45 onwards
  14. Don't mind at all WJ, just about got the size for Grade 4
  15. Think he has to get thru next weeks training Spoke about the Pig Dog before, has not done enough training, similar to Terlich, will both probably start at Casey in one of the later praccy games It isn't me that keeps calling him out at training Redleg, it's Greg Stafford As for Watts, as he left, got a big smile and two thumbs up, so assume mind and body are ready to go
  16. I'd be shocked if he did, think he is always going to be one of those rangy types, put Jonesy on his arse in one on one drill at the end of the session, using footy smarts
  17. I spoke to Bernie, he is ready to go, they just want another weeks training into him now, expecting to play with Casey next week, the way it is going, might be worth going to watch As for Frost, has a great leap, is athletic and speed to burn, is young, make him a versatile tall, talls take time, if we can have one that can play both ends and ruck, yes please
  18. I actually did once when he was a Dee, if you do it respectfully they don't mind, Dom Tyson asked my opinion of his game against Freo, told him his disposal was a bit ordinary and he agreed, said today he is still working on the timing, same with Jeff Garlett who agreed he couldn't get near the ball against Freo, contrary to poplular belief, they are not up themselves
  19. What you mean staying inside the dressing room mentally, they did that against the Bulldogs Chatted a bit more about it to the players, Roos understood the reasoning behind the foot coming off the pedal slightly in the 3rd quarter, but was unimpressed with how far it came off in the 4th quarter, does not want to see a repeat of that against Essendon and definitely not in actual games, a few of the senior players, Jones, Dunn, Lumumba, Cross also had words
  20. One other interesting bit from today, Frost again did ruckwork with Stafford and the rest of the ruck division except Pedo
  21. He knows that, have chatted to him about it, that is why he was disappointed at getting the virus, if a forward is uninspiring but kicks a goal that wins us a game, I'll take that
  22. You just have, or doesn't that count?
  23. Nah, I am with rpfc, Brayshaw actually 'enjoyed' the game he played at Casey, so did the other six, let him enjoy a few more games at Casey, then give him a run at sub, we have burnt too many in the past, whether he has the body or not
