He said that's when he realised he DIDN'T want to be a senior coach
-
He has just lost his state contract. He never had a national contract. And there's no suggestion that he is turning his back on cricket. Odd post.
-
Why?
-
Looks completely made up to me. There are no direct quotes, not even an insinuation and neither Jones or the club mentioned anything at all regarding Jones Jnr. No outher news outlets running with it either.

Agreed. The amount of socially inept people on this site is cringeworthy. -

You do realise it's pronounced Petrarka don't you? -
Sam McClure reporting on 3AW that McCartin has been chosen as pick 1. Wowee.

Article by Emma Quayle today: http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/how-potential-no1-draft-pick-paddy-mccartin-got-his-footy-career-organised-20141124-11s77k.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter And interestingly an article on the Saints website that seems to hint at them taking McCartin at 1: http://m.saints.com.au/news/2014-11-24/st-kilda-settles-on-first-pick

Brett Anderson tweeted: "Jake Lever won't be heading to the Dees at pick 3. Would have loved them to take him, but now GWS/Geel/Rich seem likely destinations. #AFLDraft" His mail is usually spot on so looks like Brayshaw and whichever of McCartin and Petracca the Saints don't take.

Frawley will be terrific for Hawthorn. Because we didn't have any capable rebounding backmen he had to try to take on that role too. As a pure defender who can take the opposition's best key forward and just worry about that and leave the rebounding to the likes of Gibson, Birchall and Lake he will be peerless.

Not meaning to sound condescending at all, but you're basing your opinion on a YouTube video?

Smithy just saw the footage against Adelaide and you are spot on but I don't think that was the one I was thinking of - I seem to recall him doing it another time where he got another kick. But without footage to back me up I'll concede defeat! -

Nah Farmer definitely got another kick cos the ump had called time off. Lyon told him to settle down after he found himself getting hit by the ball in his back unexpectedly! -
Most experts have Duggan going around the 15-20 mark. What do you see in him to make him worth of pick 3 DT?
-
But will it really? The most goals any of those players you've mentioned has kicked in a single season is Dawes with 30 in 2010. Incredibly depressing statistic that. We need quality mids yes but we're just as short on quality forwards now that Clark has left.

I don't disagree with any of what you've written above. Not really sure what we're arguing about? -

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN NEWTON

Of one year. Having played 4 games in 4 years due to injury and form. The writing was on the wall for him that he was always going to be purely a depth player. That Port midfield is so hard to break into. -

But Port wouldn't have released him if he was a 1st XVIII player. He couldn't get a game for them so the club did the right thing by the player and let him seek a fresh start somewhere else. If it was Wines or a player of his ilk looking to leave it'd be a completely different situation! -
I don't know many players and I don't know much about a lot of the politics in AFL footy. But I do know a few of the Geelong boys and I do know exactly what has happened with Bundy. He's done a very stupid thing but to say the club didn't want to keep him is laughable. They did everything in their power to keep him but for his sake he needed to get out of Geelong and Victoria. You have no idea what you're talking about in this instance.

Laughably ignorant and incorrect post

Why? She watches more junior footy than anybody in Victoria. If anyone is qualified to comment on this year's draftees it's her.

About three out of 700 key forwards?
