I go to as many games as I can, but reality is very few supporters can go to every game. We were supposed to be a sleeper team this year, but after some horrific losses it is easy to understand why your casual Melbourne Demons fan had given the footy a miss. Most of the people I go to the footy with are there more weeks than not, which is great. Previous years were worse, can recall getting fined about every second week for low attendance. Hoping for a bigger and brighter 2012 for support and members.

You say this to my grill and you will be wishing you had kept your trap shut. When you use the word "Melbourne Supporters" you are referring to all of the die hards that bleed for the club. Keep your negativity towards die hards off these forums.

Terrible luck for Straussy. I will remain optimistic he can come back from this, but we should keep in mind just how hard it is going to be for him to get back to AFL level. Huge setback for player and club. Wishing for a speedy recovery for Straussy.

Brad Green is no more consistent than Sylvia and is surely earning more than 450k pa. Both are probably equal in the leadership area (average) and have similar value to the club. 450k for Sylvia isn't terrible when you put it in perspective. If he gets greedy and wants more it is important we get something of equal value in return. A draft pick isn't going to help us reach the final 8 next year.

1964 was the last time this club was truly feared. Somewhere along the line we went from being a premier club to being one of those poorer also ran clubs. This has to do with years of losing, but the club was lucky enough to retain a handful of great supporters over these years. This club is all about those willing to keep pushing, keep going against all odds. All of you give up your time after work to come on here and show your passion. This is what the clubs needs. It might not look like much to opposition supporters, but there are some bloody die hard Demon loyalists on here, and many of you make up our membership base. North and the Doggies would kill for more of you. Collingwood and Carlton claim to have more of you, but would they have the fan base they have now if they had not won a premiership since 64? Doubtful. We have work to do, but we do stand for something. The passion is as deep here as anywhere, and when we rise again you will hear it from the stands of the MCG.

Sad Yze has come out and said this. I think Robbo has set a good example. He was vexed after being axed, and had a few little things to say in the press. Eventually after other clubs felt the same, he accepted his fate and came back to the club. His game day work is always professional and he really adds to the home games at the MCG.

This season has the makings of a Michael Bay film. One needless explosion after the other. Are we entertained? Hell no. Schwab's reputations speaks for itself. His business acumen is required if this club is to push forward. Without it we will have to cast our line into a pool of mystery to try and find a leader to pull this club out of the shitzz. Pretty doubtful really.
