Great to see a big win. Pressure for spots is great but I say no change for next week.

WERRIDEE's Weekly Wisdom Week 2
Collingwood V Adelaide Collingwood had a crack and played pretty well for a club that got belted out of the middle and were missing Howe and Moore. Adelaide just outclassed them with their midfield and key forwards.

WERRIDEE's Weekly Wisdom Week 2
Essendon V Hawthorn Essendon are a joke as simple as that, led by the coach who led North to the bottom, rejects never work. They paid a cool mil for McKay who is arguably the worst full back in the comp. In the middle they have spuds like Caldwell and Parish. Up forward they have a wuss in Wright who had 1 good year and has been terrible since and Perkins who has played over 100 games with 99 of those games being woeful. How Farrow can't get a game defies logic? I blame it on the coach Scott is semi brain dead. No wonder Merrett wants to leave they make Carlton look like a good side. Essendon are bad enough that they could win the spoon. Hawthorn were good but they had no opposition there run gets harder in the next 3 to 4 weeks let's see where they are then?

WERRIDEE's Weekly Wisdom Week 1
They have picked the team and Sharp is in McDonald out. Culley will be the second ruck well predicted by the poster who mentioned it. WERRIDEE's Weekly Wisdom Week 2
Carlton V Richmond Carlton are genuinely hopeless with the exception of Jagga Smith they have no hope for the future. Another second half fade out which has dogged Voss, surely he can't survive the year. Richmond are going places slowly but they are going places with guns like Lalor and Grilj if it wasn't for Lynch's inaccuracy they would have won. Great second half comeback. They really did dominate the last half.

WERRIDEE's Weekly Wisdom Week 1
I'm gonna try and put this out weekly. Just a review on the weekends matches and then a preview on our games. Sydney V Carlton Sydney look the goods their forward line is scary with Armitey, Curnow, McDonald, Papley and Heeney. They will be the big improvers this year. Carlton are Carlton they have nothing should finish close to bottom 4 how they overpaid Walsh when he didn't have a kick last year beggers belief. Gold Coast V Geelong Gold Coast could very well win the flag, Petracca was back to his vintage best what annoyed me most is that he kicked for goal straight, when has he ever done that for Melbourne. Already rueing the fact that Trac is no longer with us. Geelong are ordinary without Dangerfield and Cameron. GWS V Hawthorn GWS would be rapt with how they performed with half their side out. Clarry was good but not sold on him have to see him a bit more to rue that fact that he is no longer with us. Hawthorn have to be disappointed I think they have an average list but have been well coached. Brisbane V Bulldogs Great game both teams will be up there and both lost no admirers. We all know Brisbane will be up there when the whips are cracking but will the Bulldogs they should have been up there last year but fell away. St.Kilda V Collingwood St.Kilda continue to disappoint. They lost to Collingwood who had half their backline out. I'm waiting Collingwood to fall over like Geelong due to their age but they never seem to. Preview We are an unknown quantity which makes it exciting I have no idea which Melbourne will come out to play. Our preseason form has been good but we have beaten nothing in North Melbourne and Richmond. St.Kilda also had a great preseason but fell apart to Collingwood, so preseason form means nothing. Unfortunately Marshall won't be playing as I thought he was a burden as a second ruckman. I'm confident we can use Culley as the second ruck more than ever. I hope they continue to use Wanganeen-Milera up forward more because he's more damaging in the middle. Perryman gave us the blue print to go with Wanganeen-Milera. I'd use Windsor to go with him everywhere. I don't fear St.Kilda at all especially after playing Collingwood. I predict 18 point win to us. Possible Melbourne Team B: Lever, Petty, Salem HB: Jiath, Turner, Lindsay C: Langford, Steele, Langdon HF: Chandler, van Rooyen, K.Pickett F: Fritsch, Miocek, L.Pickett FOLL: Gawn, Rivers, Windsor IC: Sparrow, Howes, Tholstrup, Laurie, Culley EMERG: McDonald, Heath, Sharp We also play St.Kilda in a VFL practice match. It's hard to say how St.Kilda will go as they are new to the comp. Casey has been up and down with close losses to North Melbourne and Box Hill and we aslo got pumped by Richmond. Henderson should be back this week not sure about the rest. Possible Casey Team B: Bergman, Adams, Berry HB: Taylor, McDonald, Bonner C: L.Lual, Onley, Stanley HF: Matthews, Bowden, Mentha F: Cross, Ah Mu, Melksham FOLL: Heath, D'Angelo, Sharp IC: Henderson, Scaplin, Hampton, Pipicelli, Sinnema

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
I think we can expose their second both can’t play forward so one of them will be a burden just like Heath who can’t go forward interesting to see if they play Culley as the second ruck like a poster said he can be an extra midfielder and can go forward Melbourne B: Lever, Petty, Salem HB: Jiath, Turner, Lindsay C: Langford, Steele, Langdon HF: Chandler, van Rooyen, K.Pickett F: Fritsch, Miocek, L.Pickett FOLL: Gawn, Rivers, Windsor IC: Sparrow, Howes, Tholstrup, Laurie, Culley EMERG: McDonald, Heath, Sharp Casey B: Bergman, Adams, Berry HB: Taylor, McDonald, Bonner C: L.Lual, Onley, Stanley HF: Matthews, Bowden, Mentha F: Cross, Ah Mu, Melksham FOLL: Heath, D’Angelo, Sharp IC Henderson, Hampton, Scalpin, Pipicelli, Sinnema
- CASEY: Practice Match vs Box Hill Hawks

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Culley will not be used as a second ruck. Heath shouldn't play if McDonald is playing as well too tall. I think Culley will have to play a VFL match before he is considered. The second ruck will be McDonald. B: Lever, Petty, Salem HB: Jiath, Turner, Lindsay C: Langford, Steele, Langdon HF: Chandler, van Rooyen, K.Pickett F: Fritsch, Miocek, L.Pickett FOLL: Gawn, Rivers, Windsor IC: Sparrow, Howes, Tholstrup, Laurie, McDonald EMERG: Culley, Sharp, Heath

2026 Injury List
Hopefully he's only out this week would be a massive blow if he wasn't to play. We are running out of players maybe Sharp will replace him.
-
Best 44 without injuries
Sorry Picket have Melksham ahead of him as he has the score on the board. Melksham has had an interrupted preseason I think this is why he is not in the side for round 1 but if he can find some form he will be back in the team quicksmart. Kentfield is also in front of him based on the preseason games. Jeffo is in front of AJ though.
-
Best 44 without injuries
We only have 44 on the list couldn't be bothered filling the last 2 spots with Casey players.
