Five man interchange
How exciting will it be to do a best 23 instead of a best 22. It's got the tent up.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Smith is a very iffy forward showed more down back thought he would play as the 7th back with the luxury of using him forward. Tomlinson won't get a game completely useless that's why no one wants him. Turner will get a game way before him very backward thinking by the football dept is thinking that way. van Rooyen has to be unleashed to good not to be unleashed.

Farewell Luke Jackson
West Coast are the problem they are a shambles. Gave the world for an ordinary player in Kelly but won't give pick 2 away for Jackson. Why do they want to divide pick 2 just to show how retarded they are? There is a player in Jackson that would automatically improve the side and they don't want him. Second worst run side in the comp behind Essendon.

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Western Bulldogs
This should be a tougher match against the Bulldogs 3:10 Sunday October 9 at Casey. The Bulldogs have just come off 2 losses after being undefeated in the first for weeks while Melbourne have lost 1 game for the year and that was to Brisbane. The Dees beat Fremantle by 30 points last week while the Bulldogs lost by a point to Geelong. I expect Sherriff to be back this week and that should be the only change. Possible team B: Birch, Gillard HB: Goldrick, Gay, Heath C: Mithen, Purcell, Paxman HF: Hore, Zanker, Bannan F: D.Pearce, Harris FOLL: L.Pearce, West, Hanks IC: Sherriff, Lampard, Mackin, Duffy, Fitzsimon
- James Harmes off to Essendon?

WERRIDEE Rolling 44
Hunt's gone to West Coast and Bedford will soon be following him out the door to GWS. I'll do a rolling 44 after the trade period.

Elijah Tsatas
If we don't pick up a key position forward with our first pick I will cry.

2023 Team
He played the Grand Final down back and was great. I'm predicting him to be our big improver. He's more than due not to get injured.

AFLW: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Great win by the girls they were challenged by a strong team and responded like a good team does and won comfortably in the end. Bowers was great for Freo while Harris, West, Purcell and Hanks were outstanding for the Dees. Dees grind out win in the west (melbournefc.com.au) AFLW | RD 6 | Kate Hore post-match (melbournefc.com.au) AFLW Team Song: Melbourne (melbournefc.com.au) AFLW | RD 6 | Mick Stinear post-match (melbournefc.com.au)

2023 Team
As long as they don't play the 2 key forwards set up, it rarely worked. Gawn can play forward but they need him with 2 of van Rooyen, McDonald or B.Brown only going with one of them cost us the final against Brisbane. B: Lever, May, Bowey HB: Brayshaw, Petty, Salem C: Langdon, Petracca, Jordon HF: Pickett, van Rooyen, Neal-Bullen F: Fritsch, McDonald, Gawn FOLL: Grundy, Oliver, Viney IC: Harmes, Sparrow, Chandler, J.Smith SUB: Spargo

Farewell Toby Bedford
Well that is a blow. Not a huge blow but a blow none the less he was behind Kossie, Spargo and Chandler so I guess he was 4th in line so maybe not many opportunities but he definitely has talent and plenty of speed. Good get by GWS. Surprised to see him go not Hunt though he's done was never going to improve the team probably never should have said happy to see him go but I think his time is up. Good luck to both.

Great to see Chandler, van Rooyen, Laurie and Woewodin in the top 10. THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
Unless a reject is best 22 like Grundy then I wouldn't go for any of them, just go to the draft.

Seniors B: Lever, May, Bowey HB: Brayshaw, Petty, Salem C: Langdon, Petracca, Jordon HF: Pickett, van Rooyen, Neal-Bullen F: Fritsch, McDonald, Gawn FOLL: Jackson, Oliver, Viney IC: Harmes, Sparrow, Chandler, J.Smith SUB: Spargo Casey B: D.Smith, Turner, Hibberd HB: Hunt, Tomlinson, Rivers C: Howes, Dunstan, Woewodin HF: Melksham, N\A, Bedford F: Moniz-Wakefield, B.Brown, Spargo FOLL: Weideman, Laurie, N\A IC: McVee, Baker, N\A Daw and Mitch.Brown have retired and Rosman has been delisted. Jackson should be heading Fremantle and we should be getting Grundy. Hibberd and Melksham are expected to get 1 year contracts. Hunt no certainty to stay around with the Eagles circling. Tomlinson could be on the move but no takers as yet. Bedford is favored to sign on but no certainty with GWS circling. Weideman is almost a certainty to stay at the club. Law of averages says Baker will be cut considering he never played a game this year but he is still on the list.

Pleased with four-quarter effort: Stinear (melbournefc.com.au)

AFLW: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
This game would usually be a cracker as Fremantle have been a top side for so many years but this year has been different. Fremantle have only won 1 game and a draw. Melbourne on the other hand have won 4 games. With Harris dominating the forward line and Hanks, Purcell and West dominating the midfield I'm expecting the Dees to dominate and win by 20 points. I think there will be no changes after that dominant display at Ikon Park. Possible team B: Birch, Gillard HB: Goldrick, Lampard, Gay C: Mithen, Purcell, Paxman HF: Hore, Zanker, Bannan F: D.Pearce, Harris FOLL: L.Pearce, West, Hanks IC: Duffy, Sherriff, Mackin, Heath, Fitzsimon
