  1. He got picked on 6 months of performances. He was injured for half the year and the year before that he wasn't even in the state side. Toumpas and Trengove got picked on SANFL performances which was a mistake. Martin and Wines were ready made players in hindsight we should have picked them, but in the end it worked out fine because if we picked up Martin and Wines we wouldn't have Trac or Clarry.
  2. Toumpas is a pimple on the [censored] of Daicos. Daicos is a gun Toumpas was a dud. He was a dud at Port too. Everyone has a go at our culture back then but I think they were just poor picks. Prendergast will go down as one of the poorest recruiters of all time.
  3. Congrats to all the girls especially Daisy. What an inspiration! Great to see another Premiership cup. Gutsy win.
  4. If I was a betting man I think we will pick up George with our first pick. He's an already made player. Jefferson is too much of a project player. Our premiership window is open now not in 5 years time.
  5. Congrats to Hore and Purcell on getting AA honors.

I don't think we can pick up E-B as a Cat b because we already have the maximum in Cat B rookies. I think he can be picked up as a cat A rookie like D.Smith was.
  7. George has done his knee so I thought he would slip. If he goes in the draft is there another small forward we could take in the rookie draft?
  8. I think our key needs are a key backman, half back, midfielder, key forward, small forward. The players I'm looking at are Ellison, Emile-Brennan, Phillipou, Keeler and George. Are we a chance to get them all? I'm looking at Phillipou at 13, Keeler at 37, George as first round rookie, Ellison at second round rookie and Emile-Brennan at third round rookie. Seniors B: Lever, May, Hibberd HB: Salem, Petty, Brayshaw C: Langdon, Petracca, Hunter HF: Neal-Bullen, McDonald, Pickett F: Fritsch, Brown, Gawn FOLL: Grundy, Oliver, Viney IC: Harmes, Sparrow, Melksham, Bowey, Spargo Casey B: D.Smith, Turner, J.Smith HB: McVee, Tomlinson, Rivers C: Howes, Dunstan, Woewodin HF: Chandler, van Rooyen, Laurie F: Moniz-Wakefield, Schache, George FOLL: Farris-White, Jordon, Phillipou IC: Ellison, Keeler, Emile-Brennan, White
  9. TOP 5 van Rooyen Bowey J.Smith Rivers Sparrow
  10. Is anyone worried about our easy draw? Adelaide will be a different proposition. Great win by the girls but gee have we had some easy games recently.

  12. I'm sorry that I got suspended. It was meant to be a joke I'll choose my words more carefully next time. Like the team. Gay is a huge in. Don't give up on top spot yet a 100 point margin could be on the cards if they play to there best. West Coast aren't much chop.

Hobbs and Grainger-Barass stiff to miss out also due to playing in very poor teams.

Yeah I'll have a look at it. Most are pretty spot on but I find it difficult to believe that Weideman couldn't get a game for basket case Essendon.

Your club's best 22 in 2023: Who's in, who's out, who's new (afl.com.au) Not the team I'd have. I'd definitely have Bowey in the side ahead of Rivers but the rest is pretty close. It's hard to see the Dees' line-up changing too dramatically but expect a few new faces in 2023. Melbourne brought in three seasoned players but it's unlikely all three will fit into its best 22. The injection of Brodie Grundy will fill the obvious second ruck void that Luke Jackson's departure left while also allowing Max Gawn to sit forward, or even be used as a marking option behind the ball. Lachie Hunter adds midfield depth but may struggle to break into the star-studded engine room, while Tom McDonald will return from the Lisfranc foot injury that sidelined him for the second half of the season. Although hampered by injury, Ben Brown was a long way off his best and will need to rediscover his mojo to keep his spot. Jacob Van Rooyen is knocking down the door after a sensational season in the VFL and would be expected to earn his spot as early as round one, while Bailey Laurie is another promising youngster waiting in the wings. Although his versatility allows him to play at either end, Josh Schache is unlikely to break into the 22 unless there's injuries, while Jake Melksham, Adam Tomlinson and James Jordon could also be unlucky as the team moves forward. – Alison O'Connor B: Michael Hibberd, Steven May, Harrison Petty HB: James Harmes, Jake Lever, Christian Salem C: Angus Brayshaw, Clayton Oliver, Ed Langdon HF: Kysaiah Pickett, Tom McDonald, Alex Neal-Bullen F: Bayley Fritsch, Ben Brown, Max Gawn Foll: Brodie Grundy, Christian Petracca, Jack Viney I/C: Jacob Van Rooyen, Lachie Hunter, Trent Rivers, Tom Sparrow Emerg: Jake Bowey, Charlie Spargo, Josh Schache, Bailey Laurie
  16. I suppose this means Emille-Brennan won't be picked up by us.
  17. I'm predicting a 10 goal belting. Essendon just got over easy beats Sydney by 4 points while Melbourne just smashed Gold Coast by 49 points. Possible team B: Birch, Gillard HB: Goldrick, Lampard, Heath C: Mithen, Purcell, Paxman HF: Hore, Zanker, Bannan F: D.Pearce, Harris FOLL: L.Pearce, Hanks, West IC: Sherriff, Fitzsimon, Mackin, Wilson, Brown I'm dropping Duffy needs to drop some weight. Doesn't look fit enough.

Gawn has to play up forward as well it will be too top heavy. If they want to play Petty up forward they have to forget about T.Mac playing which I don't think they will.
  19. The side a little bit weaker with L.Pearce, Goldrick and Sherriff out but they still should get it done comfortably against the Suns.
  20. It's got me stuffed why teams pick up tried coaches? Ratten done nothing at the Blues gets a gig. Why? The inevitable happens and he gets the sack. Some teams are just clueless. Watch Carlton go down the [censored] shoot with Voss in charge. Brad.Scott was just an embarrassment. FAILED COACHES DONT WORK

I don't think we are too top heavy up forward as Fritsch can play medium small. Gawn, JVR, T.Mac as the talls. Pickett, Fritsch, Neal-Bullen and Chandler play as medium to smalls. Just like the backline. Lever, May and Petty play tall. Bowey, Brayshaw, Salem and J.Smith play medium to small.

I wonder if Southport will try and pick him up? Sad to see Oskar go but the opportunities weren't there unfortunately for Baker. Good luck

Well trade week is done and dusted and I think we done pretty well with Hunter and Grundy for bargain picks. We have pick 13 and 37 which is as good a deal as your gonna get for the Weid. We also have plenty of picks for next year. I can see us winning the next 3 Premierships with this list. Seniors B: Lever, May, Bowey HB: Brayshaw, Petty, Salem C: Langdon, Petracca, Hunter HF: Pickett, van Rooyen, Neal-Bullen F: Fritsch, McDonald, Gawn FOLL: Grundy, Oliver, Viney IC: Harmes, Sparrow, Chandler, J.Smith SUB: Spargo Casey B: D.Smith, Turner, Hibberd HB: McVee, Tomlinson, Rivers C: Howes, Dunstan, Woewodin HF: Melksham, Pick 13, Laurie F: Moniz-Wakefield, Brown, Spargo FOLL: Schache, Jordon, Pick 37 IC: Rookie A, Rookie A, Rookie A, Emile-Brennan Rookie B I expect Baker to be delisted now we have picked up Hunter.
