Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
WhyAlwaysMe replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Roos can't lose, if Goodwin has success they will say how wonderfully Roos set up the club for success, if Goodwin fails it will be because he is a crap coach. -
Bulldogs pushing for top 4! Where do we stand?
WhyAlwaysMe replied to Earl Hood's topic in Melbourne Demons
Macca was sacked, your kiding yourself if you think the bulldogs would be a chance for top 4 if they didn't make the change. -

Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...

we were so desperate to get a high profile coach we accepted any deal on the table & didn't give ourselves a out option, very much like the Blight deal Roos was very clear that he never wanted to coach, I'm sure alarm bells were ringing for many when he said l'll stay for 2 maybe 3 years. 3 years out of coaching in modern football is a long time & was a big risk, we have seen nothing on field that couldn't be replicated by any other junior coach, we are stuck with the deal for another year, after that we will start from scratch again, there will be no succession plan Goodwin take over and do it his way, it will be his time his way. -
IN-Garland,Dawes, Vanderburg, Harmes OUT-Neal-Bullen,Pedersen, Riley, Toumpas we are at least 2 players stronger, Roo may not be 100%, at the G, Should be improved by 2pts
-
not for mine, i'ii take us in every area other the Reiwoldt, yet they keep beating us, they are better drilled & have a better game plan. However I'm confident Today, i don't think their style will be suited today & we will finish strongly today
-
we have a better list than both, losing either is an embarrassment as it was a few weeks ago

If we beat the Saints I will ....
WhyAlwaysMe replied to Bleeds_Red_&_Blue's topic in Melbourne Demons
if we beat saints i will know how if feels to be able to beat up your little sister. -
no magic or mystery for mine, they are just a very good team in a very weak season, Geelong North & Port have dropped away, Eagles & Freo have overachieved, Sydney are same/same, Richmond, Bulldogs & GWS well in the 8 yet very average sides. 18 team comp has spread the talent very thin, so many below AFL standard games every week, players are now learning their trade in the premier competition due to lack of personnel

Melbourne FC to 'target an A+ midfielder'.
WhyAlwaysMe replied to Demon 16's topic in Melbourne Demons
Chad Wingard, Garry Ablett & Nat Fyfe We can employ Obi Wan to handle the deal, You don't need to see a contract, Move Along. -
dont agree on this one, its gonna blow out big time
-
this will take some heat of Hogan
-
we will win 90-60 votes Howe Vince & Jones
-
it will be number 6
-
i usually have a strong opinion either way, these 2 teams are so bad i have no idea, i just know its gonna be ugly
-
we will make hawthorn look like schoolboys once we finish our rebuild in 2025
-
maybe they will throw in Dangerfield as a sweetener
-
If we DONT beat Brisbane I will ...

i will do the same as last week, blame Roos & Dawes. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 16
WhyAlwaysMe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
no change to last week's perfection -
relax preferably Dawes but Hogan looked to have a niggle & may not get up.
-
I'm all for 2 ruckman Gawn & Jamar, Dawes of Hogan to come out. Fitzy in to move T Mac around (out whoever doesn't get up)
-
HOGAN DAWES PEDERSEN combo all 3 have played together once for a loss & our equal lowest score. 2 of 3 have combined for 2 wins 9 losses. Hogan & Dawes have played solo once each, both resulted in wins & our 2 highest scores for the year.
-
let me think about this. Tom Mac goes forward has 4 shots at goal in 17 min, kick a goal to put us within 2pts & for the 1st time in the game look like we could pinch it. His kicking is inaccurate on a day when nobody is kicking well & the weather is poor,1st time forward nervous & with limited goal kicking practise. So thats at least 4 times the ball was not brought to ground by Dawes & rebounded to opposition forward line. Any many here are suggesting this should never be tried again.

im not at all against this, short term pain long term gain, an oldie but a goodie, still works. Roos has rarely done this, but results were good with Watts & Grimes.
