Straight swap for Andrew Moore? Both are actually fairly similar and may just need to head back to their state of origin.

I imagine the footy department already have..... if Demonland ran the club our trading period would be over.
-
I was reading he has kicked over 80 goals in the VFL the last 2 season. Seems to be a typical tall who starts to get it together mid to late twenties. Could be a good second ruck/forward to partner with Hogan.... thoughts?
-
From the sound of the article Collingwood really low-balled him. Plus I think he wants a fresh start due to on-going injuries. I don't blame him to be honest.
-
Luke Darcy is a [censored] and I don't listen to anything he says. Edit: Why is F L O G censored?
-
I would rank them this way so far based on output to date: 1) Ollie Wines 2) Jake Stringer 3) Jack Macrae 4) Lachie Whitfield 5) Nick Vlastuin 6) Sam Mayes 7) Jimmy Toumpas 8) Lachie Plowman 9) Jon O'Rourke

I know it's unlikely but how amazing would it be if he came to the Dees! Cats fans are already writing messages welcoming him, it would be great for them to all have egg on their faces.
-
Dangerfield comes out and says he is joining Melbourne....... Demonland crashes never to be revived.
-
Very good!!

The fact you think they are dead wood would suggest Brisbane may also think the same....

Could be typical Roos smoke and mirrors to divert attention elsewhere…. Hopefully

2015 Player Review - # 4 Jack Watts
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
That's not true. I saw him nail a number of tackles this season (the Varcoe one springs to mind), granted a lot more than previous years. I personally think he has improved a lot in his overall attack on the ball and opposition alike. If we can get something good for him I'd be happy to trade but if not I'm happy to keep him on as a 3rd tall forward/depth forward. -
Agree we are trying to do that but it's just frustrating that every player wants to go to either Collingwood, Geelong or Hawks.
-
If he ends up going to Geelong I really hope they struggle his whole time there. I liked them during the years they did well, but that was mainly because I liked players like Bartel and Enright. Now I can't stand the way they just want to pick players from other sides rather than build a side. Plus I hate the Scott brothers and their smug little faces!

At least that's what Damian Barrett told them...

Delistings/trades at end of the season
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
VBerg wasn't the first country player drafted. Pretty sure Isaac Smith was from the country leagues... -
In all honestly with the players you mentioned except for Gibson none of them had established themselves before they were traded. I would argue that Bastinac has done more so far than Yeo and Cripps had done before they moved on. My argument is that the good sides are good at identifying talent that is being held back. In any case I'm not a recruiter so it's irrelevant what I think but I know that the people we have on board now will be able to pick players who can fill a role.
-
I'm sure Bastinac is a required player at the Roos but may want a fresh start elsewhere. Same with Melksham.
-
I think the only one of those who was regularly performing was Gibson. Yeo and Cripps were still very raw in terms of development and Gunston was just a bit part forward at the time the Hawks went after him.
-
All the top sides have built their sides through other sides cast offs. I really don't understand this mentality. Hawks: Gibson, Hale, Gunston Swans: Shaw, Richards, Kennedy Eagles: Yeo, Cripps, Wellingham A lot of those players were seen as just OK players at their previous clubs but when put into a good system and with a clear role they flourished. I'm glad we have a strong coaching and recruiting team at the moment who are able to identify under used talent.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
That's because everyone's trade ideas is 1) Get Dangerfield 2) if we can't get Dangerfield then we may as well just stop trading. -

I think the real question is do we think we can get someone better at our 2nd round pick. If it's unlikely then it's a no brainer really. -
I think his manager has sold him up sh*t creek on this one.
-
I've taken that exchange as he has already signed with the Dees. I have already gone out and bought a Macallan 25 year old single malt scotch whiskey to celebrate!!! Set me back almost 3 grand but it is worth it to celebrate Danger being on board!

If Howe wants to stay at the price we are asking then I'd be happy for him to stay. He has shown versatility, though I think he plays his best footy as a intercept mark in defence. If he wants to chase more dollars and we can get good compensation then that would work also. I don't think we can really lose in this situation, we either keep him for a price we are happy to pay or we trade him for something we value as equal or better than him.
