  1. The chances of a player being picked at pick 8 or 9 being as good as Gus are slim. 50-50 chance to get a player that will play 100 games even I'm backing Gus in 100%. he is still learning, and will come back hard next year. only 23yo. played 80 games so he is in the sweet spot over the next 5 years. came 4th in the BnF and 3rd in brownlow last year after missing the first few games! he is a beauty who had a poor year
  2. Surprised that jimmy only got 2 AAs despite 4 BnFs and Brownlow. More quality rucks in the 90s I guess well done Max. You are a bloody champ
  3. I was going to start a Billy Longer thread but was worried about the abuse I might cop but now we have a Levi thread I might go for it! haha
  4. completely agree, but who?? they dont grow on trees, havent heard of many looking for a trade play Carlisle fwd? but he is a [censored]
  5. we do need talls who can stay on the park. Pedo would have played >15 games this year for us. Petty and O Mac etc etc all played fwd. So maybe they reckon he can fwd. or if we see Petty as a fwd now, who do we have to cover for our best 3 tall backs? pretty much no-one aside from O Mac, so I reckon we need cover. Our 2nd round pick no way though. A late 2nd rounder maybe
  6. can understand him turning down extra cash as he'd be on $1mil per year but how could you chose to play in front on 8K people each week? having no supporters would suck
  7. Last time we had a pick in the top 5 we got Oliver so I’ll back in the current list management to make right call. Oliver was not expected to go that high at all
  8. it's fun to say 'Splitting the Pick' with an NZ accent go on, try it!
  9. 78 games - 138 goals thanks Jeffy. best of luck Dec
  10. so nothing but BS rumours on Trac leaving then? good.
  11. After we were gifted pick 3 for Chip I don't think we can complain about handouts to GC
  12. Moving from 2 to 3 could the difference between Jono O’Rourke and Lochy Plowman!
  13. and every other player in the top 10 is in the squad. Oliver has been good but his disposal and defensive side of his game have gone down from last year. also kicked the fewest goals in that list
  14. We cannot lose Trac. our forward line cannot take another hit after losing Hogan. he has plenty of scope for improvement and is finally getting consistent. his next 5 years will be very good do what you need to to keep him MFC
  15. Harsh to pull him up on one moment. If you watched the whole game he set up a lot of play. Kicked a good goal, 2 assists, 7 score involvements. Solid game
  16. Gawn oliver viney fritta Traca harmes
  17. This game means nothing. What does it matter if we lose by 10 points or 70?
  18. I’ll try to add some excitement umm... who will win our top goal scorer??? trac on 22 hunt on 20 fritsch on 17 we’ll probably only kick 6 goals as a team so bailey is out. It’s a two horse race!! be nice for Trac to kick 3-4 and cap off a good year of steady improvement
  19. If he is an assistant coach only then great. If he is guiding and mentoring Goody - not so great. I doubt he will be employed as an assistant only but we will see
  20. Interesting one. 6 seasons with the saints and zero finals. 34% win record certainly won't be much of a tactical or coaching mentor for Goody (that he desperately needs) so you can only assume he will be in a development role?
  21. Did he check first class? or at least the exit rows?? ?
  22. We sell games to NT and still need to be propped up by the AFL. Rabble
  23. thanks christ this season is finished in 2 days I hope Brown kicks 0.7 and loses the coleman
  24. Trying to be positive - our core group is young. learning important lessons such as how hard you have to continually work each year, more and more to not only stay where you are but not go backwards is a critical lesson. and as easy it is for us supporters to say 'work harder' and 'dont take things for granted', lessons sometimes need to be learned the hard way through experience. this season should burn in each player over preseason. let's hope the young blokes learn fast and those that arent hurting ad arent committed are shown the door
