  1. Some thoughts

Really surprised at how poor Gawn was. I thought he could kick a little, it's like he's been learning off spencer. One game in so hopefully a once off

I think Dawes and hogan will be a great twin towers combo

Newton will be a good player

I liked T macs games. Got involved

Really happy with how we cam back in the third. Freo were putting in and had a strong team out

Now to get a win against the saints. Bring watts Viney etc in

  2. I don't see GWS improving much. Lost Patton and Boyd. Plowman out again so not many good key backs. Deep through the midfield but I suspect a few lads will be looking to leave at years end. I reckon we will finish above them.

I see us above gws Carlton, dogs, dons, west coast, st kilda finish around 12th

West coast have lost Kerr cox embley waters and now b&f Mckenzie. Not a good midfield

  3. Far out this is depressing. Season hasn't even started and people are thinking a pass mark is losing 16 games?!

We really should have won 6 in 2014 given how many close ones we were in. I know it's easy to we should have, but I believe that

So saying 6 is a pass is expecting not much improvement at all. Surely we have more expectation than that?

Anything less that 8 wins is not a pass for me. I'm expecting 8-10 wins. And it's not about saying which other teams won't improve, that'll take care of itself. There are so many surprises each year. Who would thought flag favourites west coast would not make finals. Or that we would beat the crows away etc.

We have a lot of middle tier players that should improve and are in their peak years watts howe garland grimes

And we have heaps of young talent that should naturally get fitter and better viney Tyson Salem etc

    Go dees!

  4. I assume from that, you expected him to be there from Round 1 and dominate?

He is one player from a squad of over 40, yes from what I have seen at training, he could have come in early and been a really good players for us

But we have had too much expectation placed on young shoulders previously

Hopefully with the really good medical and fitness regime we have in place he can make a full recovery

of course not. Im worried about his career. how many times do we see re-occurrances of ACLs? Anyway just wanted to be able to rant and have a sook without being told to calm down and look on the bright side

    thats all

  5. Seriously doubt I will take your advice DD

At this point we have little idea if he will be a champ or a chump.

Lots of supposed Champs end up Chumps.

Lets just wait and see before we step in front of the nearest train.

You are right, there is no evidence that this potential number 1 draft pick can play football. ill calm down and give it a few years to see if this injury ruined his career

    thanks for the advice

  6. can everyone telling people to 'calm down' just pi$$ off??? possibly our best recruit has done his ACL, one of the worst and hardest to recover from injuries you can do. We are allowed to be upset. if you are not upset, good on ya.

i could have taken a shoulder or an ankle but not a fricken ACL from our new dynamic midfielder forward. FFAAARRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKK!

cant we just have one high pick come in and be awesome? too much to ask?

  7. When the cats crash out of the 8, it's going to happen, no matter how successful the club there is always a crash, Steve Johnson will have trouble with his ankle foot all year, he has been able to play with it for years but at his age these things catch upto him, I think they have recruit in the wrong area. And when it happens Mitch will fall back in depression, he is weak of mind that's a sad fact about depression, but depression does not always point to quitters, that's different Mitch is a quitter.

What a horribly ignorant post. If you don't know anything about depression, the mental illness, it's best to say nothing. Depression is a disease that can strike people for no reason. It's like saying someone that has a brain aneurysm is weak of mind.

  8. everyone was calling Petracca "Truck"....you must be a KIwi?...they call him "Trac' or "Tracca", Brayshaw is Gus, Oscar Mc gets 'Osc" and White gets "Whitey", haven't got the others yet

Missing today Fitzpatrick, Vince and JKH (Dave Misson said he was crook)

Asked Dave Misson about training and Maroochydore, training finishes a week on Friday then back on 5th Jan, week here and then 5 sessions in Maroochydore, so a week and a bit, said no specific heat training, just training in the heat and the humidity, footy will be main focus, probably good away from other prying eyes

Rehab group today Watts, McKenzie, Kent (who now has a rather cool full arm tattoo), Stretch, Spencer, Riley and a triking Jack Trengove

For all the Gawndog lovers, he was pumped today, did 5 out of the 6 drills, as he towers over me, was showered in the sweat that was pouring off him whilst he was talking to me

Another Dunny bit, was doing marking and spoiling drills with Miller coaching and on the bag, Miller stressed that they needed to do it like they were in a game, so Dunny proceeded to put his elbow into Miller's ribs, Miller responded by giving Dunn a fearsome whack with the bag

Howie was showing off his one handed skills, managed to get his thumb trapped in a jumper during a drill last Friday, didn't dislocate but has it heavily strapped

Photos will be on Twitter Demonpk

    thanks for the report TDI

bit harsh on the Kiwis but, you aussies pronouce Trac and Truck pretty the same I reckon! (assuming youre an aussie)

anyway, just thought id tackle the big issues

  9. Wing, high half fwd. he is bloody fit. wasted deep in forward line.

imagine having him on the wing one on one. T Mac has the ball under pressure in def 50. best bail-out kick there is. look for Howey, hack it in his general direction, he'll sit on the blokes head!

then hit up Hogan and BANG! GOAL!

  10. coverage starts at 6:30? does anyone know when the first pick will be announced? I want to avoid the rubbish coverage as much as possible

I especially love when they have panel chat or interviews with parents while first round picks are being announcing!

I think they are going from pick 1 to pick 10 this year and not the opposite which is better
