  1. So GWS get to a GF and get another couple of guns to add to their list. Reckon they’ll win a couple of flags in the next few years
  2. I only heard this after it was pretty much locked in we would take him. Easy to say you would take him when it’s not an option.
  3. A ruckman at pick 3. I still can’t believe it. Lets hope he can develop into a fwd
  4. Come on. There are picks based on consistent high quality football over many games and there are others.
  5. If we want to take speculative picks such as Pickett then surely we are splitting pick 10 on draft day. Could then maybe get weightman and Pickett
  6. So you didn’t see what happened to Trac but are still complaining about the sort of drills we are running? I’m personally glad we are training tough and hard. Knocks will happen. No serious injuries to report as yet
  7. 3 Green 10 Weightman 28 Pickett
  8. Title of his segment- the Cavier on the Cake or He Shakes he Bakes??
  9. What a Scoop! thanks for the happy news
  10. Are you on the source?? ?
  11. Who was that?
  12. From my very uninformed viewpoint I would like to get kemp. If available at 10 we should keep
  13. 14 and 17 for 10 and 28? could happen. Geelong must have a specific target in mind and we are keen on two players to go in the teens
  14. same here. we could have traded a lot lower and he would still be there and get a higher second pick. eg 16+18
  15. can only assume MFC know the top 10 is locked in AMAP and we want someone at 8 that will still be there at 10. so pretty much getting pick 28 for nothing. if not, not a great trade
  16. recruiters can be wrong for sure. all recruiters were convinced Toumpas and Butcher were top 3 guns and neither hardly played a good game. Regardless of what the media think the recruiters might do, the fact remains that recruiting rucks in the top 10 let alone top 3 is risky and is generally not done. they are more prone to injury. he is yet to develop his football skill set, he is a fair chance to go back to WA in 4-6 years. obviously our recruitment team know more than us but we are discussing it on a forum so opinions fly around even if ill informed
  17. is this confirmed? I had thought more likely GWS want Green and traded high enough to get him. they have intel that we are going for Jackson so no need to trade higher up the order.
  18. Interesting take binman but I think the difference is buddy and roughy were true footballers and had showed they can play fwd, and kick goals. Imo Grundy is the better comparison. Best case we end up with a Grundy but is that our need for the next 4-5 years? Obviously he could surprise and turn into a gun fwd but it’s a low percentage imo. Chances of him being a roughy or buddy are very slim imo
  19. Drafting a tall ruck without a strong footy background at 3 is too risky imo. Could work but I don’t think we should take undue risk at pick 3. Green looks an excellent prospect and the risk is much lower. I remember the write ups for Tyrone Vickery back in the day, - he could go top 3, he is the modern prototype, quick and can play fwd. dominated as a junior i know Jackson is more athletic but still the risk is there. Add in that the WA boys head home a lot and it’s even riskier
  20. Maybe trying to bluff?? Green sounds like a gun
  21. If correct, why TF would we make it known we will not take green??
  22. Snap up Green and run! You beauty!
  23. so 72 hours until the pick trading deadline. you'd expect we should do something by then? does anyone know when the live trading begins on draft day? or is it just at the first pick?
  24. jebus, even when he is smiling he looks like he is about to take your head off. scary mofo thanks for the pics Saty
