The Stand rule is rubbish. Man the mark and you can move if you like - UNLESS the umpire calls Stand. If you hear that you can’t move. If you hear him say play on you can move. ridiculous that the rule is based on the ability of a player to hear the ump. Could be trouble on GF day

Yeah true but I reckon the dodgy half is on very little coin. Not great for team unity when imports are on massive money and aren’t delivering while ‘home grown’ talent have to take the hit. Williams especially was a terrible decision.

He should only play if he has earnt it of course. I have him higher in the pecking order than Vanders, so I reckon he will earn at least one game over the next 6 weeks.

Why do people want to bring Smith in at this late stage? imo we should only bring someone in who is a real chance to play finals. Bowey is playing HB so he is cover for Hunt. We have Rivers and Salem also. Bring in Hibberd if needed, who was very good earlier in the season and should be fresh after a rest. Smith has never proven himself to be a consistent performer and it would be crazy to try it again at this stage. Not saying he can't make it ever just not now.

Good to see Pert is sticking up for us and wanting games being played at the MCG. Having finals interstate with some crowd could mean us playing Port in Adelaide, Lions in QLD or WC in Perth or god forbid, Geelong in mordor. We have earned the right (so far at least) to play at home and I would not want to lose this advantage. If the stadium is neutral and the MFC agree to it being interstate then I would be fine with playing Port in Perth for example and it would be good for our interstate fans. But we need to give ourselves the best chance of winning. Not just worrying about the AFL getting money.
